Our stay in Ashland was hugely enhanced by our stay at the Chanticleer Inn. Central to the restaurants, shops, and plays folks come to Ashland to enjoy, yet an island of calm away from the traffic and bustle. Truly, from the bucolic but lovingly tended...More

The Chanticleer Inn is well located for enjoying the attractions of Ashland, walking distance to the Festival and many restaurants. This Inn is a lovely well-maintained large craftsman-style house. The host, Ellen, is an experienced inn-keeper, master chef and cookbook author. Our breakfasts were amazing...More

Dear ArtSnob (you're not really a snob, I know that for sure!) Thank you for the kind review. It was delightful to have you here. Your insights into theater and the business of theater made for interesting conversation for the other guests. Ellen

We just finished out third stay at Chanticleer, and can't think of a better way to enjoy Ashland. The location is perfect as Chanticleer is just a short block from Main Street and at most a five minute walk from the theaters and other attractions....More

This is our third year staying at Chanticleer and every year continues to be excellent. The breakfasts are amazing (multi courses of fruit, baked goods and all kinds of eggs- i even bought her cookbook!) and there are always interesting and stimulating conversations with the...More
