This is a lovely historic hotel centrally located in Ashland. Close to fun shopping, great eating, just off the "square" and Lippia park. We had a charming room furnished with antique furniture. Highly recommended!

The Columbia Hotel is a charming hotel-- right in the middle of Ashland. We were surprised at how unassuming it is from the street, yet how wonderful it is inside. As a historical hotel, it is quaint and charming. Yet, it has modern features to make a traveler feel comfortable. We had a claw-foot bathtub in our room, but there... More

We spent one of our three nights in Ashland at the Columbia hotel. Our queen air-conditioned room was reasonably nice. As is clear from the hotel website, bathrooms are shared so if that's a concern you may want to look elsewhere. We had no delays or problems getting access to the bathrooms and showers. The staff were very accommodating and... More

I called on August 20, 2016 (more than 2 weeks in advance of my reservation) to cancel my room. Earlier in the month I had been struck by a car while in a crosswalk and was in too much pain to travel. I was told that would be no problem, but I would still have to pay a $25 cancelation... More

Read all the reviews to see if this is the right place for you, then think outside the box and ask if you really need a/c and your own bath. We love being right in the center if town, walking distance to the theatres and restaurants. Even in August, the nights cool down so fans did fine to cool the... More

While this is a quaint hotel with a friendly staff and a good location, it was not a good fit for us. If you have been to Ashland in August, you know it is WARM and they do not have air conditioning. They do provide a small window fan that allows you to pull the warm daytime air out or... More

Great location, historic building, very quiet, calm, mellow Vibe here. Makes for a nice place to stay when you need a place to chill for a nap in the middle of the afternoon! Great staff too! Already planning our return trip!

My husband and I stayed here for one night on our drive from the SF bay area to the Oregon coast. The location is right downtown near theaters and restaurants. The soap was so good I took the facial bar and used it the next 10 days of vacation. I highly recommend!

We have stayed here twice and have decided this is good for us. But go in knowing that this is much more of a European experience, without the breakfast. First, the good stuff. The beds are comfortable, the staff is wonderful, and the cleaning staff do a great job keeping this 1910 gem clean. The location is perfect, right in... More

Great location, clean rooms, bathrooms and friendly staff. Never had to really wait long to shower and plenty of hot water in the morning. The rooms without AC can be a bit warm and I do think it would be nice to know which room someone gets and where it is located...ie we had room #10 and it is on... More
