this place was GREAT except two things. I was NOT aware of the fact that campers are allowed to put up a tent anywhere they like on the grass and sleep there. I requested for a ground floor room because carrying a heavy suitcase by myself with my 3 month old infant. Room was cozy and cute, but when I... More

First off, thank you for saying that Callahan's was great! For future consideration, we have luggage carts on the premise which would alleviate the need to carry a heavy suitcase traversing the lodge including the use of an elevator. We are also a cornerstone destination for the hikers embarking on the Pacific Crest Trail which starts in Mexico and continues... More

My wife and I spent one night at Callahan's. We stayed in Room 37(3rd Floor) and were very happy with our stay. Price is reasonable and includes a 25$ voucher for breakfast. We enjoyed the in room jetted tub, and the wood burning fireplace. The nightly guitar music makes dining very pleasant, or you can sit by the fireplace and... More

Took my wife there recently for her Birthday. We immediately felt very welcome and comfortable. Rooms was big and cozy with a shared deck to view the mountains and a beautiful sunrise. Dinner was great. We had salmon eggs benedict for breakfast! Highly recommend for a special getaway!

Last year, we went to the sumptuous buffet that was offered so expected the same this year. The "Feast" that was offered was brought on a plate--sans dinner roll and dessert--nor did we have hors doeuvres. The ham and turkey were good but I was disappointed with the treatment of green beans, yams and stuffing. Plenty to eat; and also... More

Thank you for your feedback. I am glad that you had plenty to eat and that the ham and turkey were good. We do have a "sumptuous buffet" twice a year and I am sure that that was the occasion you have attended before. Both Mother's Day and Easter we have an all you can eat buffet including a famous... Staff are excellent and friendly. However the hotel is located in the middle of nowhere and guests are pretty much restrained to dine in the hotel restaurant which does not serve good food and it is overpriced. The room and facilities are so outdated and wore out, and it is hard to tell if they are clean.

It's the Wandering Yank here. Mrs. Yank and I spent a night in Ashland recently, and we found this on hotels.com significantly discounted. There are 19 rooms at this Lodge. We were in room #25 with an amazing view & large balcony.
