The walls in the room of GurKent are thin. We could hear the people next door. No wonder the hotel made the decision to preset the television's volume. The bathroom is a little small and there was a persistent smell along the corridor. Stairs to floors are dark and a little unkept. A major plus is that it is centrally...

The Kent Hotel was our home for one night while on a tour of Turkey. It has a nice lobby and dining area with a very nice breakfast buffet. The room was large, but dark and more than a little tired. The public room pictures make this hotel look much better than it is. When we arrived the American flag...

The Kent Hotel in Ankara (also known as the Gur Kent or Gurkent Hotel) is a modern hotel that is beginning to show its age. It is conveniently located in the city center, within walking distance of major shopping streets. One can take the bus on Ataturk Blvd. north to the equestrian statue at Ulus, and then walk east up...

Acceptably clean hotel within easy walk of new town but too far out of old town which we were unable to explore. Very dated hotel. A shuttle bus to the old town would have enhanced this hotel. Food was acceptable but nothing to rave about

We arrived here early with our tour group and we were allocated a room at the front of the hotel, high enough up not to suffer from traffic noise. Very central to the shopping area. The beds were rather on the firm side but did not stop us sleeping well. Food was good and we would have no hesitation about...

I spent three weeks there and it was awful. The only good thing about this place is that it is very close to the city center and it is very easy to commute from here. Everything else sucks. It is filthy, it is worn and it is not functioning at all. Bathroom facilities are broken, rugs are extremely dirty, elevators...

Our bus tour used this hotel but I was very disapointed. We were put in a back room at first but it was old, tired and smelly. The view was also terrible. and the fridge , which was filthy, did not work. Asked to be moved to a street facing room which was granted. A bit better but the fridge...

A pretty average hotel. rooms clean although small. Service ok. Quite dated overall and would benefit from an update. Food average. Its ok to staff on a practical basis but I woudl query the 4* although the deco once must have been quite grand. Easy to walk into town from here.

How I rate hotels. Star ratings for hotels are based upon facilities and services. It is easy to find the star rating for any hotel. I rate hotel based upon the experience. For example, a 2 star hotel may provide a 4 circle experience. I found the experience at this hotel to be more than a 3 but less than...

We had a 1 day stay in this hotel as a part of our Group tour of Turkey. We were lodged in a smallish room which had a terrible view of the backyard of some other building and therefore had to keep the curtains closed all the time. The hotel is located in a busy street close to supermarkets and...
