This property is in a great location opposite a busy shopping mall and walking distance to many more malls and eateries. The staff are very good and friendly. The Rooms are modern and very clean. We paid a little extra for the Level Experience which meant you received free drinks for 2 hours every evening and $30 MYR credit per person per day towards food at the Restaurant or Garbo Bar.

I like the big glass window with no obstructive panels and the sofa place next to it make it a good place to unwind or do some reading. At night, good lighting too. this hotel also the first that i came across with a sticker on the door that says the room has been disinfected.

Good Location and nice size rooms so this was our third stay at this hotel as the previous 2 stays were excellent.Stayed for 4 days up o Christmas Eve -what a disappointment !Booked ahead and requested the highest available floor(as traffic noise is 24/7) - arrived tired from airport at 8.00 pm and given a 1st floor room in spite of bringing it to the attention of the lady receptionist.Booked a triple room and the room had towels etc. for two.The next morning we explained our situation to a young man at reception named Madhan- he was very helpful and moved us to a room on the 6th.floor.The towels that were provided were torn and of a poor quality,it looked grey instead of white the room and bathroom were not adequately replenished after cleaning. The cleaning was not only of a poor quality but were not done till nearly 5.00 pm.Most mornings and evening the water was lukewarm. We will definitely NOT be staying there again, unless there is a drastic improvement.

We've stayed at Sol Melia hotels for approx 25 years through the world, with our 1st stay at Melia KL in 2007, 2-4 visits per year (until lockdown). It's never been perfect but has more than adequately provided what we need. Until this visit. This is a 4* hotel & the room rates reflect this. However, what is provided to guests as those essential little necessities are far from 4*. I've already reviewed The Kitchen separately (cold environment, cold breakfasts, poor food quality). This review is for the hotel. I will state straight up that the staff we encountered (reception, concierge, bar, room, The Kitchen) were all wonderful.

Our room was a standard guest room. It was cold on arrival, air con set to 19C. We upped it to 27C as we have our set at home. It reset to 19C. We turned the a/c off, it started up again at regular intervals. As housecoats are not provided now, we went out & purchased long sleeved tops to wear in the room (& in The Kitchen) so we could be comfortable.

There was no room information folder (understandably to avoid sharing any viruses) so we had no idea how to indicate if we required bedding or towels to be changed. There were no face tissues provided. There was no bathroom comfort pack or body lotion, as had always been the way. We were, however, given a toothbrush.

The shampoo/conditioner & bath gel (yes, bath gel in a shower) were in large pump dispensers, fixed to the shower wall. Good economical idea, but difficult to get anything out of them - 1 pump wasn't enough, but each time the pump was depressed, it had to be manually pulled back up to use again, & the bracket around the dispenser neck hindered full depression of the pump. Plus, both were placed higher on the wall, so I always had to reach up (I'm 5'4"/163cm) & were in a corner, so getting arms in too was awkward. As a positive, the rain shower was powerful & except on our 1st night when the water was warm, it did provide hot water.

The toilet paper!! Disgraceful! Yes, we got 2 rolls, but the paper was 1-ply, thin & fragile. Needed to use a lot to avoid any disgusting matters.

We used the bar a few times, initially in the hope it may have been warmer than our room, but it was colder. The black covered furniture was a breeding ground for mosquitos! We got badly bitten on our 1st visit (& managed to catch 2 of the offenders) so wore repellent on future visits.

All in all, very disappointed. As mentioned, the room rates are very much 4*, but the value for the customer is very poor. We took the opportunity to visit other hotels in the area during our stay & will probably use 1 of them if/when we need to visit KL in the future. Like I said, disappointed as we were so looking forward to traveling away from home for a while.

We stayed in Melia hotel Kuala Lumpur in December 2021
Service was bad
First day I requested extra towel for my son but never get it
My husband found a lump of hair in the toilet
The shower is clogged
So disgusting
I complaint the next morning and we went out
They said they will do the repair and leave the extra towel but when we came back the toilet is still the same and no extra towel.
Still clogged and the lump of hair is still there.
So disappointed and not going to go there anymore.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel with good location and closed to the Malls walking distance actually it is only across to the bridge. Our room was nice and large and good amenities set up in the room the only thing i fault is the bed sheet has dirt with stain so i immediately called in the reception to inform them and after 5 mins the housekeeper came in and changed it immediately. So i think they are not aware to the small things that guest can see it and also the towels in our bathroom were very old and looks dirty the hotel looks 5 star but need to change some amenities in the rooms. The guest paid money and they expect what they paid for. I cant say i cant comeback in this hotel but i highly suggest to the top management to check all your amenities inside guest rooms.

Spent 4 nights here on our way back home over New years Eve. The Good - Checkin and Porter staff along with most others were friendly and nice Food was good quality, The Bad - whilst rooms were overall nice and clean the bed linen had stains ,frayed and with holes. New Year's Eve package to go on the roof was completely disorganised and though only 25 RM a head you could actually see most of the fireworks and just lacked atmosphere. The Ugly, well the maitre'd or boss man in Garbo bar was gruff and rude and actually answered the phone while we were eating with "what the f..."
So an average rating given the wide range of hotel options in KL reckon you could do better.

Unfortunately this hotel is not as good as it was before the pandemic, don't waste your money, pay abit extra and go else where.
Firstly, we had to call them each time we wanted our room cleaned even with the sign on the door, they don't keep providing you with toiletries, towels etc etc each day, you need to call them and let them know what your missing.
2ndly, they allow poor behaviour from other quests, we checked in, first night was okay, then after that, the hotel checked in a group of men at 12am midnight who made so much noise In the corridors till 3am, I had to call them 3 times to complain until the 4th phone call to reception they decided to move us at 4am to another room, I had booked a trip for that morning at 6am and had to cancel my trip because of this.
3rdly, I asked front desk if I can leave 1 luggage bag with them till I come back from langkawi, they said yes that's fine, next day when I was checking out, they told me no I cannot do that, I had already organise my bags thinking I can leave 1 behind, it caused me massive issues as i was going to run late for my flight as I had to re pack my bags according the the weight limit.
4thly, breakfast was the worst, they don't provide you much, you'd rather eat out.
This hotel doesn't care about your comfortability they only care about taking your money and providing the worst service.
Will never book with them again.
