I stayed here with my mother for a week, we were visiting my niece who was studying there. The hotel is very well situated, really central to all of KL’s tourist sites. The train station was only a 2 minute walk and the Pavilion shopping mall next door. We also walked over to the Petronas towers via a covered walkway, it was only a 10-15 min walk.
The hotel staff were very friendly and courteous, any time we rang down to reception for something, we would get a call about 5 mins later to check we had received our request. We stayed in Feb just after the Coronavirus breakout, there were bottles of antibacterial hand-gel everywhere for guest use, the door staff used a hand held digital thermometer to check everyone’s temperature on entering the hotel. This was done politely and with reverence and the appropriate humour. No one objected and is was reassuring. The room was lovely and cleaned well each day, the breakfast is ideal although after a week the choices were repetitive, but that was due to the length of our stay. There was plenty of choice, omelettes, assorted breads, pastries, curry! The English breakfast on offer was not to our choice
The pool area was lovely and a great place to relax and enjoy the sunshine, however it does not have continual sun due to the high rise buildings around the hotel. Having said this there is so much to do in KL y I would only spend a couple of hours here anyway.
I would certainly recommend this hotel, it’s location is superb, and the staff very good.

Well, after the interesting experience arriving into KLIA, I was escorted to my hotel taxi which took me to the hotel, actually, to the back of the hotel where I was told to wait until someone came to escort me to the entrance.

I had the bottom of my shoes sprayed with, I guess, disinfectant, and was then shown to a room somewhere inside the hotel. The room was quite big with a few makeshift desks placed at the sides. I had already booked, so I just signed some disclaimers and then made my way to the payment section to pay the deposit and where I was given some documents about the rules and regulations, mealtimes etc.

It is important to note that all the staff are wearing hazmat suits and full PPE clothing, from top to bottom.

After the paperwork, I was told to make my way to the lift at the back, which seems to be the staff lift or service lift. I was then escorted to my floor (18th) where I was shown my room.

The room was quite spacious with a view of Bukit Bintang. The shower was really powerful and it had all the amenities to last more than 1 week; toilet paper, tissue paper, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner...

There was water to last more than 10 days; a box full of water bottles.

As I arrived late at night around 2am, I was famished. I hadn't eaten in hours and I was resigned to sleeping on an empty stomach. Suddenly the doorbell rang and I went to answer it to find a food tray left on the chair outside! I thought it was a very nice touch, so full marks to Grand Millennium for that.

M package was the 4 meals per day and it got to the point where it was almost too much food! Breakfast at 7.30am, lunch at 1pm, tea at 3pm followed by dinner at 7.30pm! The food was relatively varied, so that was good. I'm not a big rice eater, but I managed. I was able to hook up my Apple TV to the TV, so I had all my entertainment needs taken care of. I exercised as much as I could in my room and the time went by quite quickly.

On day 5, there was a knock on my door and I was told it was time to take my PCR test and that I would be escorted to the floor above. I went up and saw a room full of people in Hazmat suits and PPE clothing. I sat down on a chair and they did a throat swab, then I paid and made my way back to my room.

I was released on the 8th day after my results came back negative.

It was a new experience. I felt the check in process was a little too impersonal. I fully understand the conditions and the era we are living in, but customer service should still survive. They weren't impolite, but I just didn't feel like a guest.

Other than that, everything else was good. Nice room. A slightly leaky air condition once in a while, but I kept a bin under it, just in case. I did report it early on in my stay and they offered to fix it, but it was so minor, it hardly leaked at all.

Would I stay here again? As a quarantine hotel? Yes, probably.

This hotel has a lot going for it. It's got the absolute perfect location next to KL's best Mall, Pavilion. It's on Bukit Bintang street which is lively and filled with shops, cafes, shisha, barbers, pharmacies etc. It"s like a mini Piccadilly Circus.
Also my room, which was club room, was good. Spacious, comfy bed, strong wifi (for multiple devices) and big bathroom.

However there are some major things they need to work on. The hotel has communication issues. Here are some examples.
(1) I phoned the service number and asked them to make sure housekeeping cleaned my room while I was out for 2 hours. However my room was not cleaned when I returned.
(2) Before checkout I called reception to have someone come to my room ro help with luggage, but 15 minutes later nobody had come. I had even followed up my request by coming down to reception to re-request help. In the end we had to carry the bags down ourselves (we are not lazy, we just have back injuries).

Also check-in was very slow...I understand we checked in around midnight and staff numbers are limited at that time, but to wait 15 minutes while the receptionist dealt with one customer is not good enough. I understand some guests can be tedious and long to deal with, but in such cases a member staff should come and offer a welcome drink and apologise for the wait.

Despite some of the service issues, I do have to compliment room service. They were very fast in delivering food.

I will probably stay at this hotel again...mainly because of the location. But it is quite lacking in service for KL standards and for the prestigious Millennium brand.

We have already re-booked. The hotel is in an excellent position, extremely central and the parking was free of charge. The staff, particularly Shah, Ann, and Sarah were welcoming and offered a personal service. The room was of a high standard and offered a bathtub in a addition to a shower cubicle. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to our return.

Thank you to the entire team of GMKL for making my quarantine period a very comfortable one.
This quarantine centre is really well equipped with nearly everything in sufficient amount for you; from toilet papers, toilet amenities, to coffee and teas. The room is clean and well maintained.
The food are up to my satisfactory standard. It’s just quarantine, so don’t expect extravagant food.
The view down on bukit bintang road is just an add-on to your lonely time while quarantine.
Keep up the good job team!

First time staying here. Preview rooms prior to staying as quiet room location important for sleeping. Jennifer Chau kindly showed me room selection at back of hotel which was selected for this stay. For people who know Kuala Lumpur this hotel is right next door to Pavilion shopping mall. Plenty of shopping and dining experience around. Stayed in suite at back of hotel. Separate living area for work and relaxation. Large bath for people who enjoy soaking in tub. Club lounge great views on high floor. Nice chilled white wine selection. Great vegetarian options for breakfast and evening cocktails. Love fresh guava juice. Special commendation to Razak and Sabree for assistance in lounge. Didn’t have time for pool this trip but could see large landscape area was enjoyed by other guests. Small problem obtaining hard pillows in room. Lounge staff quickly sorted it out. Sometimes phoning housekeeping directly rather than going through central phone assistance means request is not lost in translation. Noticed steps in main reception area so people with mobility issues may need to seek assistance from many helpful staff in foyer to seek alternative access. Overall fantastic stay in great location in central KL.

Stayed here on 2 occasions recently, the first for 9 nights in early July 2020 followed by 7 nights on a second occasion in early August because I was obtaining medical treatment in nearby PrinceCourt Hospital for minor condition.
First, the location, absolutely perfect. Right next to Pavillion Shopping Mall which has everything most people would want rom a large mall. Also near Changkat Bukit Bintang with all its restaurants, bars, cafes etc . For me, it was about a 20-25 minute walk from the hotel to the twin Petronas Towers. Secondly, I had a king size room for rm 240 per night on first occasion and rm 252 the second time round. The room was on a middle floor and very quiet, with everything I needed. Very functional and comfortable .Any time I requested something like extra towels, a bucket of ice etc it arrived at my door within a few minutes.
Thirdly, the staff were very friendly, attentive and willing to help with any query or request I had. There is a restaurant in the lobby area which I dined in once and enjoyed, the rest of the time I dined out because there are so many excellent dining options in KL even now during the RMCO and for me it's good to take advantage of the variety on offer.
During my second stay, some of the upper floors of the hotel were being used for quarantine purposes. The people staying on those floors were isolated from standard guests and arrived and left using different entrances and exits to the ones I was using, while being restricted from venturing out of their rooms for the entire period of their stay .
Overall, I very much enjoyed my stay at this hotel which for me is difficult to match let alone beat for location, value for money and comfort.

Stay several times in 2019. Overall were great stay.

Some of the bellman service not so great.

Room are a bit dated and need improvement as there are some plugs not working and the pressure for eco-washer in bathroom not so great.

Food in the Club lounge and room service was good and decent choices, however the beverages price for room service I think a bit pricey.

Highlight from my stay were the excellent service from the club lounge team. Hafiza,Amir and the rest of the Club team really took the effort to impress the guest with their delightful hospitality which make my stay great. Kudos to them.

Definitely will be return in near future.

I know business is hard during dis current pandemics n d hotel opened up all d nicer refurbished upper floors for quarantined guests while reserved only two lower floors 7th n 8th floors for walk-in guests. While still charging a premium high room rates than compared to far superior surrounding hotels, they have the nerve to treat us to antiquated 80s-era rooms dat looking sad n tired, camouflaged itself as 5* premium but I would give it 3-4* at best. I was promised a king sized bed room but after a wait of 90mins to have d room ready, I was still unknowingly being put up in a queen sized bed room! Tread carefully before u make d bookings n do not be fooled by d nicer looking room pics in their website!

I’m currently stating here. This hotel has positives and negatives. I’ve eaten here many times over the years, and that’s always been solid, so decided to book here.

First off - the location is 10/10. Right across from the MRT station, and right next to Pavilion. The location is the best I’ve had out of all my stays in KL. The staff are also generally pretty friendly, which is great. The pool is also really nice, and the gym looks well equipped too. Housekeeping have restocked the water with an additional 4 bottles which is a nice touch. This is definitely an old world style 5 star hotel.

I am in 1706, and this is meant to be a club room. I managed to get a room upgrade, which I’m super thankful for. But the room is terribly worn. It’s run down, and poorly set out. The window also leaks.

There is water damage to the ceiling in spots, and the wall paper is peeling off, with the plaster behind it damp and growing black mould. The TV is set in such a way that it’s not easily viewable from the sofa or from the bed.

The lighting is also average in the living area, with only the mood lighting around the tv and a floor lamp to light it. There is a desk lamp too, but the switch is broken, and sparks when it’s on. The light above the bath also flickers, which suggests that housekeeping either don’t report faults with stuff, or they don’t care maybe?

There is also distinct lack of power points in the room, with only one useable by the bed and one at the desk. Good to keep in mind if you’re travelling for business.

Some of the boxes for the phone lines are broken, and the light switches on the control panel next to the bed don’t all work.

The bathroom is nice enough, although the bath looks very worn, and I am not included to use it. It could do with a re-paint, or replacement. The shower is good though.

The room is tastefully appointed though with what is here, and the shower pressure is great. The aircon is also pretty good. The public areas are well maintained from what I’ve seen.

All in all, despite the misgivings, I would stay here again if I paid the low price that I did, but that’s the only reason I would. I’d be disappointed if I paid club rates and had this room. This is a solid choice of hotel, but it shouldn’t be considered a 5 star property in its current state, and would not be my first choice again.
