The Sleeping Lion Suites hotel garners positive feedback for its spotless, contemporary accommodations and prime central location, with many guests appreciating its proximity to shopping areas such as Pavilion and TRX. While the majority of guests commend the hotel for its value, spacious rooms, and efficient service, some have pointed out issues with bathroom cleanliness, soundproofing, and temperature regulation in rooms. The infinity pool is a highlight, although occasional lift availability has been noted. Despite these concerns, the hotel's ambiance is generally celebrated for its modern comfort.

Location: very strategic, within walking distance to the shopping malls and monorail / MRT stations in Bukit Bintang area.
Parking space: plenty parking spaces in the hotel building.
Hotel's staff: friendly but not proactive enough. One of the staff did not take the queue ticket for us during the check-in process and no welcome drink were provided. We were also abit surprise with the extra charge of government tourism tax for MYR 10 per night, but explained that all local and international tourists are currently charged.
Hotel's exterior and amenities: brand newly opened hotel with 37 floors and rooftop infinity pool. There is also gym and sauna in the 37th floor. There should be other facilities in the 10th floor too but still not opened for public. There is a small cafe in the lobby area. Seems there is no restaurant within the hotel yet, because no breakfast is provided.
Room's interior: small for the junior room that we booked, but there is still a window and very clean. There are also 2 mineral waters provided for free. There are some international channels on the TV. They also provided ironing board, small fridge, electric kettle, and safe deposit box in the room.
Room's wifi: fast and stable.
Room's shower/toilet: clean and hot water shower is available, the downside is the shower door cannot be close tight and the water sewer is a bit clogged.
Room's soundproof: ok, as we can still hear sound from the room next door and from the corridor.
Room's bed quality: comfortable with clean sheet and 2 pillows provided for each person for the double/king size bed.
Breakfast: no breakfast provided.
Check out: need to take queue ticket first and take 5-10 minutes.

1st Time Trying Out This New Place But Very Disappointed For Few Cons....
1.) Rooms From level 11 to 36. 1st level is check-in counter + small size cafe. Level 2 to 9 R Multi Stories Car Park. Level 10 R Hotel Few Events Rooms.. Only 4 Lifts but 3 On Operations. It's Was Always Crowded & Jams from Early Mornings to Late Night for Going up to Rooms. It's needs to squeeze in at all times. Especially for late mornings periods. Where's mostly people's wants to check outs. If your room was suited in level 25 downwards to 11. It's will be very difficult to squeeze in cos mostly the lift already dam jam packed.
2.) The Hot Water from Bath Rooms for Showers was Very Small Volumes & very weak with no Power at all times.
3.) The Infinity Pools Counter That In charge by a security guard for issuing Towels was really kind of Attitudes Problems. Rudely Spoken as his English speaking only he able to understand himself.
4.) Mini Fridge No Power even turned to Max still not cold to store beers cans.
5.) TV Channels Are Very Bad. Only able to watch YouTube & needs to connection our own digital data cos Hotel dun Provide free WiFi.

Best thing about the hotel is the location, less than 5mins walking to both Pavilion mall or Lot10 mall. Also plenty of smaller local style coffeeshops/eateries for authentic local food. Close second was the price of the room, which was about $65AUD a night. Pretty unbeatable price considering the location.

Onto the negatives, the room was small (but then again, for $65 its reasonable) and not being allowed 2 room keys meant that when leaving the room, i had to take the only key with me which meant no power for the room so i would always come back to a warm room after a long day out walking in the heat! It also meant that the mini fridge would be warm and any drinks in there were no longer cold!

Other small negatives was the small entrance to the lifts which meant the area got extremely crowded at times whilst waiting for a lift. Some sort of system for getting in and out should be implemented so that guest leaving the lifts are not obstructed and guest wanting to get in the lifts can do so in an orderly fashion.

Overall, was very happy with the hotel and would recommend it to anyone who is a solo traveller or couples. I dont think it would be very family friendly unless the family rooms were much bigger (didnt get to see what they were like).

We stayed one night at Sleeping Lions, a conveniently located hotel in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The property is close to the Bukit Bintang MRT Station (MR6), shopping malls, restaurants, convenience stores, and spas. For those driving, parking is available from Levels M to 9. Price is RM10 per entry. The hotel also features an on-site café for added convenience.

Check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 12:00 PM. Our room, situated on the 32nd floor, offered breathtaking views of Pavilion Mall, the KL Tower, and Merdeka 118. We stayed in a Superior King Room, which was well-appointed with a king-sized bed, television, air conditioning, a desk, telephone, wardrobe, sofa, and a safety deposit box. The room also included complimentary bottled water, coffee, tea, creamer, and sugar.

The bathroom featured a bidet, bath towels, slippers, shampoo, shower gel, and tissue. However, the hotel provides only one key card per room.

The staff were exceptionally courteous and accommodating throughout our stay. The hotel boasts impressive amenities, including an infinity pool, gym, and function hall on the 37th floor. The infinity pool offers stunning views of the KL Tower, Merdeka 118, and Petronas Twin Towers. Additionally, on the 10th floor, there is a garden called the "Garden of Dreams," a prayer room, and more function rooms.

Check-out was hassle-free thanks to a self-service machine where guests can simply insert their key card.

Overall, I highly recommend Sleeping Lions for its excellent location, amenities, and exceptional service.

This is a basic but beautiful hotel, it has no restaurant but it doesn’t need one as it’s so close to everything. This is very much a get em in and get em out revolving door operation but for the equivalent of £55 per night for a huge room who cares, lol. The hotel doesn’t claim to be something it’s not or promise of things is doesn’t have ( I’m looking at you Lancaster Bangkok) and most importantly they do not want/need a “incidental deposit” which was an absolute pain for me because most SE Asian countries expect this and also seem to think guests are mind readers and don’t need to convey this in advance so we can budget accordingly and we all have credit cards that we can just whip out and place a “hold deposit” on.

Yes there is a queue at times for the lift but that’s only usually at peak times but the staff are on hand to keep it all in order and it’s no way near as long as a 10 minute wait as some reviews have claimed and I say this as someone who was waiting in line that was snaking out the door on some days.

Other than if kids are screaming or people talking really loudly in the hallway, the soundproofing in the room is good, AC works well and not too loud, a good selection of channels on the TV although the “smart” function on this didn’t work as it appears as the TVs aren’t connected to the WiFi

My main criticism would be surrounding the gym/leisure areas. The man handing out the towels at the pool has absolutely no business working with members of the public with that stinking attitude of his, and all because I queried if he had towels for the gym. The next issue is the gym itself, there’s no water fountain, there is no trash can or paper towels and sanitizer to wipe down equipment after use. This is unheard of in ANY gym be it a gym hotel or a local private gym. It’s very unhygienic to say the least and yes there are cleaners that come in to sweep etc but they aren’t there 24/7 ( and shouldn’t be) as i want to be able to wipe down before i use and after i use. Please sleeping lions provide these cleaning items ( and paper towels to wipe our sweating faces if you don’t want to provide actual towels) at a minimum.

There also isn’t enough equipment for the amount of guests that can access the gym, i believe the gym is shared with the apartments next door so i often found myself waiting to get on cardio equipment which has never ever happened at any hotel gym ( regular home/local gym, definitely but never at a hotel gym no matter the country as there is usually less people at hotels lol)

Location is great… near to various big malls (Pavilion, Lot 10, the new TRX mall …) and many eateries. There are also a couple of self laundry shops nearby for those who are travelling for longer periods and need to do laundry.

Room wise is of a good size. We stayed there twice within 2 weeks and booked different rooms. Their standard room is good enough although the Grand Suoerior Room is bigger with a nice balcony. Room is generally clean although for the first room we stayed the shower door in tue bathroom cannot be closed properly. The housekeeping also forgot to replace the shower gel and it was empty when I was taking a shower.

For the second check in, it was quite surprising that even though there are 2 guests (as indicated in our booking), we were told that they can only give us one key card as they are full. This is very inconvenient as we go to different places at times and do not go back to the hotel at the same time. This is rather disappointing.

Service of staff is good from those in the front desk to housekeeping.

The other thing worth mentioning is that their lifts to the rooms are really slow and waiting time can be quite long even though there are 5 lifts serving guests. This is not helped by some guests who presses both the buttons outside the lifts instead of thr up or down button depending where they intend to go.

Overall experience of our stay is considered good.

Look out for the ticket issuing machine, get a number for check in and check out.

1 passport is needed for check in for a group of friends.

Pros
1. Love their pillows, fluffy and not lumpy
2. Great room size, higher floor rooms allow you to see the twin towers
3. Love the sky terrace on level 37, night view is amazing
4.Great location at Bukit Bintang, walking distance to Pavilion shopping mall but away from the major traffic and human jam
5. Love the complimentary toothbrush and shower gel, great quality
6. Complimentary water tasted good, no weird taste or smell.

Cons
1. Hotel felt like 1st world hotel in Genting, so many people, got to queue for lifts,
2. Low water pressure for shower
3. Hand-wash and shampoo smelt the same, not sure if it is all the same.
4. Aircon not cold enough.
5. Lack of tv channels, netflix was not working
6. Thin walls, can hear conversations along the corridor and the doors are so heavy, every time someone closes the door, the banging sound will give you a good shock.

Pros
1. Room still new (because just opened last year) and big based from our choice from online booking apps.
2. Bed mattress and pillows are comfortable.
3. Hotel location is convenient, walking distance to TRX and Pavilion Mall. easy to buy some basic items like mineral water, food from the nearby convenience stores.
4. Easy to get Grab car to access to everywhere.

Cons
1. Waited 15minutes with numbering to check-in. Early check-in was not allow. Check-in time is 3pm but we can keep our luggage with concierge which they only able to place it near to reception counter, with this operation system the hotel lobby look even smaller and crowded with people.
2. Need to queue to get into lifts, Waited around 5 - 10 mins with only 4 lifts are operating. They have staff standby at the lift to monitor and make sure the lift is not empty or guests taking too much space in the lift so that other guests able to go in to the lift which made the lift space also crowded with people. Make sure you have extra 10mins to travel up and down with lifts because it is not available at anytime.
3. No restaurant, only small cafe offer buns and coffee but we can have our meal out there, the location are full of restaurants.
4. Upon check-in, the toilet bowl are not properly cleaned with urine smells which I sprayed the toilet bowl and the floor with water before go out and let it dry. No more smell after I come back to the room. So, clearly the housekeeping didn't do a good job on cleaning.
5. Queue is needed when you are in this hotel.

After reading quite a few reviews in relation to Sleeping Lion Suites we headed there with trepidation and hoping for the best. At KLIA1 we got an Airport Limo for MYR118 and it was only a 1 hour drive to tge hotel . The Limo took us all the way to the entrance of the hotel but it took a while because of traffic.
We entered the hotel and knew had to take a ticket for check in and the check in desk was round with around 4 staff. The waiting area looked busy and thought it would take a while to get served. To my surprise we only had to wait under 2 minutes and our number was called and you were told to which counter to go to to check in. The check in staff member was quick and efficient and explained all information to us and then advised that we had a City view room on Level 19.
The wait for the lift was not long as there were 5 lifts and it was only a short wait. This hotel has a interesting layout for rooms as there are 2 rooms with one entrance and 2 separate doors. The room was bigger than expected as you had plenty of room to move even with luggage. The bathroom was a bit small but that was the be expected.
We then went back down and the wait for the lift was not that long , under 2 minutes. We then tried the small cafe in the hotel and the food was delicious and the coffee was made just right , with it being hot and just the right amount of bitterness. We actually bought coffee a couple times from the hotel Cafe as it was that good for us.
If you walk straight out from the hotel and turn right it will be just a 5 minute walk to Jalan Alor but make sure you walk passed the StarHill building.
This hotel is close to everything even public transport such as the Monorail and MRT , which is around a 10 minute walk from the hotel.
If you feel like it can also try some street food on Jalan Alor or any restaurants which are closeby to this hotel.
The lift was not as bad as expected as when we were there they came pretty quick under 2 minutes even in the morning. One evening we were caught in a queue for the lift but it did not take too long as you had staff near the lifts directing hotel guests to which lift ymto go to. The only bad thing that I can say about the lifts is that if it's full of people it gets hot and stuffy as they are not air conditioned so it can become uncomfortable especially if you are going to the higher floors.
If you had any problems or questions the concierge was very helpful and give you directions. They will even book a car for you to the airport and the driver and car are very good and the car is clean also.
If I had a chance would come back to Sleeping Lion Suites and stay a bit more longer. It is best to try for yourself to see what Sleeping Lion Suites is for yourself and decide how good or bad it is.
