Furama Bukit Bintang stands out for its prime location, favored by guests for its proximity to shopping and public transport. The service, however, receives mixed reviews, with some travelers praising the attentive staff, while others encounter less professional service. While the rooms are noted for their space, guests suggest they could benefit from modernization and more consistent cleanings. The hotel's atmosphere and cleanliness are generally appreciated, though some guests feel the value proposition is not met, citing high costs and dated facilities.

Booked a Executive Club Room on the 25th floor and am glad I booked this category because it not only gives you breakfast but you get acess to free snacks, beverages, beer from 5pm -7pm. Breakfast was nothing great, but fills you. Also, you have daily cleaning of your room ONLY if you book the Executive Club room orelse your room is cleaned once in 3 days or you pay MYR 500 to clean your room which is ridiculous, so be warned.

Checkin was fast, but no one to help you out with your baggage, you have to do it your self, at checkout, they wont even help you call a taxi, you have to request the tour desk outside the hotel which I did and got a good cab for MYR 120.

The hotel is connected to the Lalaport mall by a Sky walk and is also a short walk to the Berjaya times square Mall. If you go through the mall, and a short walk away is the Sungei Wang Mall, and from the front of the mall you have the Hop on Hop of Bus operating, there is also PLAZA IMBI besides Sungei wang mall. The Hop on/hop off charges MYR 60 pp for one day and MYR 90 pp for 2 days.

I ordered food online through their website the first time and not only was it cheaper than eating at the food court but their delivered to my room and the Butter Fish and chips as amazing. The next day I ordered sliced beef, and flat noodles, but the rude girl refused delivery making me go down to the Restaurant to collect my food desipite it saying free delivery. She insisted that they will deliver free within 10 kms, but not within the hotel. I went down but food was not ready, but the man there appologised for the girls behaviour and said he would deliver the food to my room which he did. However the food was disappointing. The sliced been was cubed beef and was as tough as can be, like chewing leather and in a tasteless, watery brown gravy. The third time I thought I will order the butter fish and chips again as it was so good the first time, but disappointed again. There was a lot of chips but a very very small piece of fish and that too, not cooked properly. I decided not to order anymore.

The room though large looked a bit cheap and very simple like a budget or a 2 star hotel. The a/c cooled too well, infact had to switch it off in the night. The bathroom though big looked cheap as though the floors were recently patched up. The towels given were rough and worn out. Pretty old ones. The exterior of the building looked old and dilapitated. On the whole it did not give me the feeling of staying in a 4 star hotel. Inside however, it was OK.

I didnt like lugging my luggage up and down, the reception never picks up its phone and the feel at the hotel wasnt one of 4 star and for this reason, I wont want to stay here again or recommed this hotel.

I don't recommend it and we were disappointed. It's a shame that a 4-star hotel looks more like a 3-star because everything is too dated and needs to be redone. We were in an executive suite of 60 m2 and when we returned it smelled of humidity, the shower gel and shampoo we rubbed on them fell off, ankles too small in the wall, no bathrobes we had to ask for them, we had to take the water from an outdoor fountain (I don't know when this water is changed) we bought our water, the bathrobes were requested because it was not there, an international channel the BBC. With every storm, TV cuts, storms almost every evening, the positive point is the attentive staff but this hotel requires exterior and interior renovation. The lounge for this suite is free. It's very good for the morning, but in the evening at 5:00 p.m. it's too early and the dishes served are not up to 4-star standards. Also too small if everyone comes at the same time. The Cinnamon, bar on the ground floor, is very well run and what is served is more than adequate. When we arrived, we had to take a luggage cart ourselves because there was no staff. Was it 9:00 p.m.? The swimming pool was under renovation during our stay, fortunately, broken tiles, damaged jets, finally the renovation was necessary. The surrounding area is full of Chinese restaurants and also a shopping center accessible by a footbridge from the hotel where there are many restaurants. To go to the metro you have to cross this shopping center. Finally, it doesn't deserve its stars and that's regrettable. The laundry is too expensive I recommend a good Washouse plan you will find on the internet cheap, well done and we take your laundry and bring it back to you. The positive point is the kindness of the staff. We stayed 23 nights

Dear Tourist,

Good hotel in the heart of the city. Totally safe. Near to Metro station (walkable distance). Major attraction points like KL tower, Petronas, Little India, China town etc., are within reach. Close to malls. Staff is very professional, do not expect much. Having a travel desk, provides good services (Munesh is an operations manager, good and humble, also his brother Sashi (vehicle owner), down to earth person, very good service provider). Premium rooms has a separate room for kids/teens, we opted for this. Premium room size (including kids rooms) is very good approx. 350-400 sq ft. Having KL tower and swimming pool views. Bananbro hotel in the Times squre hotel offers good veg options.

Furma ha s a good restaurant with multiple options. Hotel is always crowded with guests.

Housekeeping team needs continuous follow-ups for small small things.

Please avoid booking hotels through tour operators, if you are planning to visit East Asian countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia etc. Please plan your own itinerary, sightseeing you can manage on your own.

If you book the hotel directly will get good deals (up to 25-30% off on room rent), if done well in advance, approx. 1 month in advance.

Hope this helps. Happy holidays.

I came to KL January 9. I go to the Cinnamon Lounge inside Furama Bukit Bintang daily, Sunday - Saturday. Kadir is exceptional at making you feel welcome. He always opens and pours my water, prepares my coffee, serves me breakfast daily. He is attentive, knows what I want many times before I even ask. I added the salmon dinner to my nightly eating regimen as well.
Kadir provides a level of service that is above the norm here in KL. I am never without napkins, my dishes are cleared promptly and I enjoy that he listens when I speak English and adds to the conversation.
Kadir is a good bartender as well. He pours my Guinness, serves my Jack Daniels with the right amount of ice and makes sure my fried chicken wings are served crispy and hot, along with chili sauce.
I keep coming back twice a day because the level of service is great, the food is reasonably priced and tastes good and Kadir always acknowledges my presence when he sees me. Customer service is what keeps you coming back and I appreciate the level of service I received when I sit down. Thank you!

Besides being located at the prime location this hotel has nothing elseto offer, it's an old building in need of renovation.. starting from the customer service to food every each and every service is below average...
Let's say the first impression goes bad the whole experience worsens.. there is no bell boy so you take your bags to your room tour self then we booked a room for 2 adults, 2 kids (11 and 7) yet we received 1 double bed .. when I complained the staff simply said you have a king bed so they expect 4 people to sleep on 1 bed.. to add to the disappointment the buffet breakfast breaks all records the food isn't fresh seems like they serve previous days leftover the other morning, and reuse the food and turn it into something else the next morning..
Every thing is charged including water ( all hotels I have ever been to give complementary water) they take pride in fining their guest, if your room is too dirty you get fired 500 ringgit, if u waste food u get fined , I asked for plates and the lady at the reception had the audacity to tell me u will have to go to the 3rd floor, catering and ask them for it.. I actually asked her "u want me to physically go to the catering and ask for it?" (Which was a taunt) yet she said "yes"!..
A extremely bad experience here would never visit again or ever recommend any body.. highly disappointed!

This is the worst hotel i have ever been to, from the moment we arrived nobody came to help with the luggage and there was a sign saying (help your self)!! then in the check in the receptionist told us that we can upgrade our room with extra money because the room in not good! the upgraded room was also disappointing! then no water bottles only a water dispenser outside the rooms to fill water!! also the room has a sign that it will be cleaned every 3 days with a sign that if the room was found too messy and the bed sheets were stained you will pay a fine! no staff to help you no service at all, also the breakfast was a mess after only one hour everything was finished no eggs and when we asked at the eggs station they said we finished what we have for today!! also nothing was left to eat and when we complained the refill was done with messy items, worst experience ever not recommended at all we were honeymooners and this was the worst place ever to stay in.

The worst hotel I've ever been to, if you can call it a hotel. More like a rent a room place. Staff do not even greet or acknowledge you at reception, which is the only place with any staff. We arrived around 12am after traveling for over 24 hours and got treated like we were disturbing the lady and then hounded to upgrade because our "deluxe superior" room was the most basic room according to her. I declined and got told that we wouldn't have a kettle or amenities in the room. The rooms have tea, coffee and mugs but no kettle, does not make any sense. They provide a plastic jug so that you can walk to the lifts on your floor and get water from a dispenser. Check out was exactly the same, not even a smile, hello or goodbye. The staff are very badly trained and have no customer service skills. Everything is old and looks dirty. The bathroom always has a bad odour and the paint on the ceiling was flaking and falling on our head everything we closed the door. If you are on tight budget and need a place just to sleep and shower, it's perfectly fine. The only positives are the location and the stable wifi. Lalaport Mall is right across and the city centre isn't far away. Absolutely nothing else about this place is good. I would not recommend it at all. The saddest part is that it has so much of potential which is being wasted

Good accisable area and being infront of the famous shopping mall Lalaport, it is easy to exchange money with the highest rate in the city. KK, 7-11 24 hr store are just on the other side of the road. One 24 hr mini mart is there just on the left of the hotel where variety of fresh fruits are available including delicious banana and mangos.
Service is warm and they prepared packed breakfast at 5am to go for golf.
Room supply hot water kattle and iron press. System of filling the flask byself from the water source near elevator is on per for green thinking.

We stayed one night in Executive room (with access to the Executive Lounge on higher floors), but got upgraded to Executive Suite, which came with a separate living room on higher floor. The room is spacious with great view of KL city centre and had coffee, tea, drinking water, toiletries, etc. Two TV (one in living room with sofa and another in bedroom) in the room. Although furniture and decoration are a bit outdated, but not a problem for us.

Our rate (over RM200) included buffet breakfast (in lounge or main restaurant) and evening snack (5pm to 7pm) in the lounge. The snack consisted of sandwiches, cakes, chicken nuggets, noodles, etc and free flow of drink (alcohol and non-alcohol). Breakfast was standard, OK in terms of the choices and variety, but can be busy at peak hours.

The location of this hotel is excellent, in the prime location, not far from Bejaya Time Square and Lalaport. There are a few MRT/ LRT or Monorail stations within walking distance. Fantastic stay and friendly staff overall. Will recommend and probably one of the cheapest 4 star hotels in KL.

Stay away from this hotel. I have had the opportunity to stay several times in other hotels of the Furama chain in Thailand and I have always had a good time, but this time it was a nightmare. The cleanliness of the rooms is very lacking, the cleaning guys are very kind actually, but they don't have a vacuum cleaner and this is unacceptable in a hotel that has carpet and upholstery everywhere also The room is cleaned every 3 days consequently in the corridors often you can sometimes find rubbish bags outside your doors waiting to be collected the next morning. In the corridors the carpet is full of stains and has a very heavy smell. In our room the air conditioning thermostat didn't work and was set to the minimum temperature, the only way not to sleep in a cold room was to turn it off completely. Furthermore, water was dripping from the air conditioning vent. This hotel is definitely not a 4 star. There are better alternatives and competitive prices in the area. I regretted choosing this hotel as it was the only negative point of our stay in KL. I will never return to a Furama chain hotel again and I do not recommend the hotel.

It’ll take ages. They have dug the road up and are relaying new roads and drainage whilst also building hotels and other buildings.
