Komune Living captivates guests with its clean, cozy ambiance, infused with a Japanese minimalist aesthetic, and newly furnished rooms that offer comfort and style. While the hotel's cleanliness and eco-conscious practices are commended by most, opinions on value are divided due to extra costs and noise concerns. The service is largely celebrated for its friendliness, though some inefficiencies are noted. Reviewers appreciate the diverse amenities, including game rooms and rooftop pools, despite missing basic items. Its prime location near Kuala Lumpur with easy access to transport and local attractions is consistently praised.

Beautiful & neat place. But the receptionist wasn't very friendly. Like I want to get to work quickly. Call room service after 3/4 times then pick up to ask for extra towels & pillows (pillows need to be paid RM10). Overall okay, just the receptionist should be the one who loves to smile I think 🤭. There should be a place to iron clothes at every level so you don't have to wait long for your turn to iron. The best pillows & soft mattresses!! 👍

I would not necessarily say this is a hotel even though they are labelled as a 3 star hotel. The highlight of the room was the bed, it's really comfortable. The AC unit is a bit weird i actually woke up in the middle of the night twice breaking a sweat, tried fiddling the control but it wasnt really regulating well. The bathroom necessities were limited. They dont provide toothbrush/toothpaste so its better to get your own toilteries if you are intending to use their service. Shower gel is as per advertised, those common toilet top up kinds, no shampoo though, you been warned.

The location is a bit iffy and your taxi driver might get a bit lost coming into your location but all in all i would say a bang for your buck stay. On the day of checking out, i realize they have common water points just right outside the lift lobby, so if you are a water rat like me, you can get some free water dispensary service on your way out.

Nothing much to complain about except the few noted.

Dear Guoxiang, It is true that our hotel does not provide basic amenities (such as toothbrush, slippers, etc.) as we understand that guest(s) may have their own preferences in terms of using their own personal amenities. It is much regretted that you weren’t informed that we do sell our amenities pouch at Level 1 in our wending machines. Thank you for your review and for choosing our hotel. We’re looking forward to your next visit.

Stayed here during CNY and it was crowded. For fully paid bookings, no point queueing at reception counter as they will tell you to go over to their self check in kiosk to check in even after they took my booking number to check in their system. So confusing. Room not so clean.. floors are dirty. Asked for room to be service in the morning but was informed that the Housekeeping will come at 11am and they will need to service their long stay guests first. They can only do our room after 3pm. There’s no iron board in the room so you may head down to their Laundromat area for washing and ironing. But the good thing is that they have a canteen area with food/drinks vending machines. Parking fee rm5 for overnight. Need to redeem at reception.

My room and overall space was perfect for my living and working situation. There are laundry facilities as well as a food hall, pharmacy, and grocer across the street for coffee/meals from 9am-10pm. Plus, it is also situated in the perfect location, not but a 10-15 min Grab or Taxi ride to various parts within or on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur. It was such an excellent, CLEAN stay, I extended my stay an additional 12-days. All their staff are friendly, patient, and helpful.

I have been here multiple times for business trips since 2023. Their rates are very reasonable without sacrificing quality. The hotel is located just across SouthLink Retail Podium, Bangsar South, where Food City is located for a broad variety of food options. Drinking water is available via a dispenser located near the elevators. They have a 24-hour gym at the 29th floor, where the infinity pool is also located. There is a Starbucks self-service dispenser at the hotel lobby, where the Komune Cafe is located. Breakfast is reasonable, given the minimal additional cost. There are common workplace areas and lounging. Personally highly-recommended.

I’ve gone to Malaysia many times in the past two years with extended stay but this is the first time I’m staying in this area. Fairly convenient and it’s an easy 2 to 3 minute ride to the big mall nearby. Everything is very good. It’s clean. It’s new the way they maintain it is very sustainable, which is what I like. The size of the room is perfect for me but I know some people would prefer a bigger room, but this is just right.

In addition on the sustainability efforts, I’m happy that they say water dispenser where we can just go fill up water instead of asking for more water or actually having to buy bottled water to the room.

My only two very very minor complaint is there is a dishwashing basin, which I don’t understand the purpose of because I don’t use it so I ended up using the counter to put my baggage on top of. The second thing is that there is a very funny smell coming off from the closet. I had to spray it down with alcohol, but I know it’s nothing going bad but it’s more like the paint and the wooden hangers smell. I eventually just ended up hanging my clothes of the closet door knob and leaving the rest of my fresh clothes on the TV counter.

For location, cleanliness and price I’ll give 10 out of 10

You can walk to the hotel from nearby stations University and Clinch, but the roads are not well maintained so it is better to use Grab. (If you have a suitcase, I definitely recommend it.)

There was a fast check-in machine, but I didn't know how to use it, so I checked in with a person.

Only bath towels are provided. There are no hand towels or face towels, and no amenities such as toothbrushes, so you need to bring your own.

There was something that looked like body soap.

There are many things to enjoy, such as a pool, a sports gym, and billiards.

There are bath towels by the pool.

There is a refrigerator and a kettle.

There is a water server for drinking water near the elevator hall.

You can watch local programs on TV as well as YouTube, but you cannot watch NHK.

There is a USB outlet, so if you only want to charge your iPhone, you don't need a BF type converter.

There is no clock in the room.

There is no door between the shower room and the sink, so the shower will be too wet unless you use it on a low setting.

The shower water was very comfortable with a stable temperature and water volume.
There is a smoking area in front of the hotel, which is very accommodating to smokers.

The staff were all very friendly and it was a very fulfilling trip.

Love staying here, the room is nice and clean, room cleaning service is also provided. The room is also quiet, I did not hear much noises in the room. Staying for 2 nights in the thinker studio, it was so confortable staying here. Air-con is cold enough and the water is also hot. There is a water station, easy to fetch some frinking water.

Cons:
The pillow is the worst i ever had at hotels, so high that I cannot sleep well. No toothpaste, no bottle water. Community kitchen doesn't have free and easy access of spoons, forks, cups , need to pay rm50 to get a key to open the locked utensils, and the area is halal, no pork & no alcohol.

Pros:
Clean room. Have game area to play pool & ping pong.

This place is conveniently located near Kerinchi LRT and not too far from Universiti LRT too. If you are taking the FirstCoach bus, the distance between the bus drop-off point and hotel is not much. The room given for a solo customer is really comfy and the bed and pillows were clean and neatly placed. The bathroom was well equipped with hot and cold shower. There was a hot water kettle and water could be filled up from a hot/cold water dispenser near the lift landing. Overall, the ambience was very good and the front desk officers were really helpful and friendly. Although it is rated as 3*, my experience was of a 4*. I definitely recommend this place for solo travelers.
