I went to The Ruma for my wedding anniversary and it was really awesome! The room was lightly decorated with petals of roses, my wife and I were greeted with a slice of cake to commemorate our special day. We always check in every quarter since its opening post COVID. The TV is equipped with phone mirroring features, the shower gel, conditioner and shampoo are all Balmain which is super nice. The location of the hotel itself is in the middle; you could either walk to The Pavilion or you could walk to KLCC! Since the location is in the middle, food ordering is very convenient and you could order the best food that KL Golden Triangle could offer via Grab Food. The room service is very engaging, even asked to replenish our mini bar and snacks. Will definitely continue staying here to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries!

Their hotel is amazing, its situated right in the centre of everything you need, from 1 shopping mall which is a 5 minute walk to further along the twin towers. The ambience of the hotel, through the corridors and into your room makes it feel warm. Housekeeping does a great job as well, refilling any amenities used. Every meal was served and provided with kind, friendly staff, a various of foods. The Executive Chief had conversation with every table during the evening special dinner. When you 1st walk into the hotel, my body automatically became still and safe. It was birthday and my room was decorated with balloons and sweet treats. I also injured myself and the staff went to five gear with assisting with my meals, stopping any calls and more. Their room amenities was outside the box to include soap for your beard. With room and the duration, I received a discount and other internal services like laundry services for 3 items daily. Please the refrigerated bar was free and replenish DAILY.

From arrival to departure, we felt very comfortable in this hotel.
The hotel itself has a beautiful, timeless style and is lovingly designed. Well-placed antiques and art objects complete the picture.
Check-in is quick and uncomplicated. All the information you need to find your way around can be accessed in the room by scanning a QR code.
Our room (standard double room with city view) was spacious and beautifully designed and had a modern black-out blind.
We particularly remembered the bathroom with two sinks and a spacious shower and bathtub with a view. Great care products, a decent hairdryer with power, nothing was missing here.
We had 6 bottles of water available every day. The minibar was refilled daily and is included in the price.
The pool is a wonderful oasis of calm with a great view in the middle of Kuala Lumpur's high-rise buildings. We particularly enjoyed our stay when it was raining/thunderstorms, as you can relax and read a book under cover and listen to the rain.
The breakfast was one of the best we've ever had in hotels. Great selection of western and local dishes with high quality. Coffee and juice were excellent, and plant-based milk alternatives are also available. The food at both the pool bar and the lobby bar is also highly recommended.
We would stay here again anytime!

The hotel is very centrally located within easy walking distance of the Petronas Towers and shopping malls (although you have to figure out how to get there as quickly as possible with the "tunnel system"). The style of the hotel and the rooms are very appealing if you are looking for modern design.
We were there over New Year's Eve (room rate with a corresponding surcharge, like everywhere else on New Year's Eve) and were very surprised that the breakfast times were not extended on January 1st. As one reviewer has already written, the breakfast restaurant is too small for the number of rooms. Since hardly anyone goes to breakfast at 8 a.m. on January 1st, the wait for a table at 9:30 a.m. was correspondingly long, even though a meeting room across the hall had been converted. The table service was of course not up to the demand and so we waited a correspondingly long time for the drinks and had a pile of plates on the table (there were four of us), which were only slowly cleared away.
We had contacted the concierge desk in advance about airport transfers, a sightseeing tour and restaurant recommendations for New Year's Eve. The answers only came after repeated requests and unfortunately were not really helpful. As a suggestion for a city tour, I finally got a general flyer from a local agency that I could contact directly (mainly day tours, which I did not even ask about). The transfer from the airport, which was organized through the hotel, was carried out by a local company (I am not sure whether they do not have their own fleet?) Unkept van, no water was provided for the 60-minute journey (which I know to be standard in 5* city hotels). My advice - we then downloaded the Grab app and always ordered a Grab "Executive car" for all further journeys. Also to the airport for our return flight - it cost less and was a nice, well-maintained car with a very courteous driver.
You should consider ordering a small snack by the pool if you do not have much time. We waited almost 40 minutes for a burger and sandwich. Tasted OK, but not outstanding.
In short - there are countless hotels in KL in this price category. If the price is right, it is definitely recommended.

My husband and I stayed in Ruma Hotel and residency in the end of January 2023. We were very pleased with a comfort, location and cleanness, as well with the impeccable service. We are extensive travellers, my husband is more demanding than any average person and he was impressed with the service and a location. The room service was offered twice a day- in the morning and in the afternoon. The rooms were checked by hotel employees in the way that we did not have to call even once to ask for something missing in the room. Spotlessly cleaned. 6 min walking distance to the best Shopping mall A Pavillion, 15 min to Jalan Aloor- the night market with great street restaurants. The Grab service is very convenient and sufficient in KL so we were easily picked up from hotel a very central location to visit various areas of the city. Hotel design is beautiful. The bar and a lounge are so cosy and. Almond, with the infinity pool facing the city. The hotel offers a very rich breakfast with a huge variety of seeds, nuts, jams. Best morning coffee we had in the city actually was served here. Hotel has a large amount of waiters so you do not have to wait long for any request.No doubts we shall come again with the whole family on our next vacation. I am very satisfied with my experience during my 2 day stay at The RuMa Hotel. I would recommend that my family, friends and business colleagues use The RuMa as a place to stay while in Kuala Lumpur. The food also has local Malay flavors and changes every day at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Likewise during coffee breaks. However, in my opinion, restaurants for meal need to be expanded, especially if many guests come during conferences. The conference room is also narrow. The location close to KLCC allows guests to shop easily during their free time. However, the entertainment TV channels available are very limited, as are the news channels. The environment and room arrangement is very friendly and makes interactions with friends and guests more intimate. Overall the environment, arrangement and service are very satisfying

Wow what a hotel! From the minutes you arrive the staff are all friendly and welcoming and constantly greet you. The styling is very zen from the moment you enter all the way to your room. The rooms have funky electric black out blinds and a wonderful shower alongside a gorgeous bathtub. The pool and bar area is a lovely place to relax and unwind but we didn’t find any furniture which was very comfortable except the 4 pool loungers. I used the gym which was beautifully air conditioned with tv screens on the machines and for its size was very well appointed. We didn’t have breakfast included but we decided to pay the £24 each and it was so worth it we did it for both days it was the most incredible buffet selection ever seen. Location was a 10 min walk through the park to the Petronus Towers and we had corner rooms with fantastic views of the towers.

I really loved the Ruma. It felt more like a 2nd home because of the amount of attention and care they gave us during our short stay. They were so thoughtful about every detail. My friend was celebrating her birthday while we were there and the hotel did a lovely job in terms of making it more memorable. I also loved how they really paid attention to us-- from leaving water bottles by my bed side to just having blinds open when you enter the room. Everything was just so well thought out. I loved this hotel so much and it made our trip that much more relaxing :)

The restaurant is fantastic so I’m sure the room service will be equally as good. We had a most memorable dinner there so a shame to miss it though. Breakfast is also 10/10.
There are more places to choose from in the Kuala Lumpur area.
