I stayed at the 5 elements for 4 nights recently. On entering the main lobby i thought i had picked another good hotel. On entering my room i soon changed my mind. It smelled of smoke and made me choke. The next room i was given was much better but the decor and bathroom were in serious need of an...

We were in this hotel 13th April-16th April2011. For that rate Hotel facilities and rooms are value for the money paid. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Good location too. Rooms are neat and clean. Breakfast in the resturant is ok but same food every day. All and all it is a place value for money.

This was our second time at this hotel - the first being just over 2 years ago after it was refurbished and reopened as the 5 Elements. The location is excellent and the reception staff helpful. My observation is though that things are running down - ie our bathroom was looking very tired and mould had a big advantage over...

I stayed in one of their single rooms which are small but not too small, equipped with desk, kettle and flat-screen TV. Everything seems to have been renovated not too long ago, reasonably smart decor and in good order. The rooms are above the street noise and seem to be reasonable well insulated. Good free wifi reception with speedy connection....

The staff at this hotel are very friendly and helpful. They are more than willing to direct you to places to see or places to eat. We had to check out very early in the morning. They were very helpful and got a taxi for us. This hotel is right in the middle of Chinatown which means its in a...

We stayed there on 1st Sep which it was holiday day in KL, so there were many people around China town where the hotel located. The hotel was located in a good position in china town and can walk around 10 minutes to monorail. We stayed on 13th floor which can see KL tower, Twin tower and China town; also...

The hotel is in a really good spot right by Chinatown. It's easy to get to without using taxis (as are all Chinatown hotels) by taking the train from the airport (shuttle bus first from LCCT) to Central, 1 stop on the LRT (to Pasar Seni) and then a 5 min walk along Jalan Sultan which leads straight from the...

I had the good fortune to find the 5 Elements hotel purely by chance as I was looking for a tour to go to Taman Negara park and the Han Tours leave from the 5 Elements. This is a quality reasonably priced hotel in the middle of the very vibrant Chinatown/Petaling street area of KL. For walkers it is perfectly...

Good basic hotel with spacious rooms. The bathrooms has some plumbing issues. Breakfast was very sad. The same menu on all the days we stayed there. In the heart of China Town which is known for its night shopping.

This hotel is great. It's right across the road from Chinatown which is brilliant. The hotel does not have a pool but the rooms are big and clean and the location is superb. One receptionist that we met was extremely helpful and informative. He acted almost as a tour guide to the city for us. Overall the hotel is great....
