I don't typically write reviews but felt compelled to do so because the staffs went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. I stayed at Alila Bangsar for 2 nights and my father required wheelchair during his stay. The staffs is courteous enough to make arrangements to ensure our stay is as hassle-free as possible. A special shoutout to Connie, who went out of her way to check on us and ensure we have everything we needed.
In terms of the hotel, the rooms are modern with nice earthy tones that gives off this calm, relaxing vibe. The rainfall shower in the room are great and I appreciate the snacks and drinks available on each floor - such a thoughtful touch. Overall, really pleasant stay and I'd definitely consider staying at Alila Bangsar again the next time I'm in KL.

Stayed three nights at the Alila KL, a World of Hyatt property. The location is a little remote and yet not. It’s near the Bangsar LRT station and not far from Mid Valley and six stops from KLCC. It is also quite near Little India.
The hotel shares the building with the Establishment and reception is on level 41 with rooms from levels 35 to 40. The coffee house, where breakfast is served is on level 1. So plenty of ups and downs during our stay because from the rooms, one has to get to level 41 to switch lift. One more comment about the lifts: they are large, 24 passengers capacity, but why are the mirrors placed so high up? I see plenty of ladies try to look at the mirror and mostly just seeing their own heads.
Botanica+Co has a delightful group of service staff and will make you feel welcome. Breakfast is more than adequate as is the menu for the rest of the day. Hotel guests are entitled to a 10% discount but must be charged to the room. There’s another restaurant on level 41 but was full on our free night. So book ahead! What’s disappointing though is the bar closing at 10 pm. So plan ahead if a night cap is needed.
On each of the hotel room floor, there’s a coffee machine plus three types of snacks for your enjoyment. There’s kettle and coffee/tea in the room. Our room has a separate study/seating area and very nice high view of the surrounding area.
The room itself is quite large with plenty of storage space. The bathroom is also quite large with separate toilet and shower areas. While technically a single “basin”, it is very good size with lots of working area and a stool for those needing to spend more time in front of the mirror.
Charming “little” hotel with good friendly service and access to the LRT. There’s Nasi Kandar Rasmeena across the overhead bridge that seems to be busy day and night. Definitely worth a visit.

Nice hotel. The design of the room is very practical, modern and simply pleasing to the eye. Hotel with covered walkway access to Bangsar LRT (Light Rail Transit) station which is one station away from KL Sentral Central Station which is also the transfer center for MRT/LRT/Monorail etc. lines.
The lobby is on the 41st floor and the very sober style swimming pool is on the 40th floor, with a magnificent view of more than 180 degrees over Kuala Lampur and a clear view of the Merdeka 118 tower (second tallest skyscraper in the world) among others.
The service at reception is exemplary and you will be informed about free additional services, etc.
The only aspects that are a little lacking are the excessively strong air conditioning in the room despite the settings and a breakfast buffet that is a bit too simple.

Considering the hotel brand, the service was a little less luxurious, but the facilities themselves were very comfortable and completely undisputed if you look at the price range
Tired of sightseeing in the city and wanting to rest in a hotel… what a perfect hotel sometimes!
There's no connecting room, but the rooms and the beds are so big that you can spend in one room, so it's not too inconvenient for a big family.
Unfortunately, the trouble with bringing children was the front desk staff, who insisted on booking two rooms with a breakfast plan for two people each, saying that "children's portion is extra" (originally four adults are included, and children under six are free). I was further swayed by the fact that I had to contact the person I booked with, and as a result the manager later contacted me to apologise and said there was no extra charge. You serviced me until late check out, but there was a further miscommunication by Duty Manager before check out that left me wasting a few hours (details will be omitted).
The breakfast venue is Botanica+Co, an all-day dining venue located on the G floor (or the 1st floor in Japan). Although it is a relatively compact venue, there is plenty of space between the seats so you can enjoy your meal slowly. And thanks to the restaurant manager, who is so hospitable in this hotel, I had a great time.
It was unfortunate that we didn’t have hotel-like service as a hotel, so it’s a good idea to book your residence as if you were staying on Airbnb. After all, the lobby is staffed only by one or two front desk staff, and the restaurant is empty.
The front desk staff are also less motivated, so if you cut through, you will be able to enjoy a well-priced stay. After all, it's not often that you can stay in the 10,000 yen range!

Wonderful hotel, It is convenient in terms of location, very spacious and comfortable. I like the layout of the room very much especially the working table and the toilets are separated from the sleeping area. Like the uncarpeted floor especially as well, cos carpeted floor harbours a lot of dust and germs which I am very paranoid abt carpeted floor. I was actually looking for other Alila hotel at Ipoh and Malacca cos I was enroute to these destinations after KL destination

This was my second stay at this hotel in 2024, and I must say, I really enjoy it here. The hotel's aesthetic is incredibly Instagram-worthy, making every corner a potential photo opportunity. Surprisingly, the swimming pool was exceptionally clean, and the water was refreshingly cold, which made our swim all the more enjoyable.
However, the most inconvenient aspect was the need to change lifts three times just to reach our cozy room. It was a minor hassle, especially when we were eager to settle in quickly.
As for breakfast, we opted to dine at the Botanical Co within the hotel premises since we were feeling too lazy to venture out. While the ambiance was pleasant, we found the breakfast options lacking in variety. Despite the enticing promise, the breakfast spread simply didn't justify the RM52 price tag.
Overall, despite a few minor inconveniences, I still hold a favorable opinion of this hotel, primarily due to its aesthetic charm and clean amenities. However, improvements in lift accessibility and breakfast offerings could enhance the overall guest experience significantly.

Dear yunshu2024, Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to share this fantastic review. We are indeed delighted to know that you enjoyed your stay with us, and your support is much appreciated. We hear you on the lifts, unfortunately, we sit in a shared building and the 3 lifts are a necessary part of keeping the privacy and safety of our guests' rooms from the public. Your comments on the breakfast offerings are points put up for the Food and Beverage team to review for further improvements. We thank you for your constructive review, as it is with feedback like yours that we can continue to deliver greater guest experiences. We look forward to welcoming you back when your travel brings you back to Kuala Lumpur. Kind regards Nancy

We stayed here for several days just before the New Year. The location is very good, next to Brickfields and with a covered walkway from the Bangsar station. Three separate elevators are needed to get to your room from there - ramp to ground floor, ground floor to reception on 41st floor, and then down to the guest rooms. when we got there, our room wasn’t ready, but we were allowed to use an unoccupied room to refresh ourselves until our suite was available! First time we’ve ever had this happen, and after long days of travel (with two overnights), it was very welcome! In general, the front desk and housekeeping staff were outstanding, probable the best we’ve ever experienced. Room was clean, beds are firm, water pressure was outstanding. Breakfast is quite good, lots of variety, with high food quality. As most of the guests seem to be Asian, there weren’t a lot of western options, but that’s not really an issue. Only real issue was with the coffee and snacks in the “living room” on each floor. Nice to have the snacks, but some guests took one or more of the containers to their room rather than just getting a bag or cup full! Also, the coffee machine (Dr. Coffee) makes horrible coffee - Instant is much better. The negatives aside, we really enjoyed our stay and plan to stay here again.

It is an urban and beautiful hotel with amazing sophistication down to the smallest details. The response from the staff is also excellent. There was no bathtub in the guest room, but there was a nice shower space and even Japanese who like bathtubs had no complaints. It may not suit those looking for a historical atmosphere (colonial or folky), but I think this is another aspect of Kuala Lumpur. I felt that the rate of Westerners was relatively high among the guests.

One of the most beautiful hotel I have stayed in KL. Hotel is conveniently connected to Bangsar station with no short of hippy cafes around the area. The room has a minimalist design which I am sure will delight most guests. For the best experience, book their premier Room and above. The only downside about the hotel is that it doesn't come with a bathtub, which is almost customary at this price point. Although, the magnificent sky pool does more than make up for it!

Dear TravellingJerz, Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for this shoutout review. We are delighted to know that you enjoyed the hotel and the facilities surrounding us. We are indeed designed to be sustainable and reducing the carbon footprint in our environment. Unfortunately, for that we have to sacrifice the bathtub. However, like you said the beautiful pool makes up for the lack of bathtub in the room. We look forward to having you back with us soon, Cheers Nancy Cheah

The hotel gives you calm vibes and undoubtable exclusive experience. The overall lighting of the hotel/rooms are dim to give you some kind of serene ambience. High ceiling and big window in the rooms is a plus! All amenities are working well, love their lotion shampoo and shower gel as it smells of natural blend, they used fresh pick salad for the breakfast buffet, every floor has its own coffee machine and light snack available 24 hours.

Yes, the pool and gym were open when we stayed there last week. However, SOPs are in place and need to be adhered to. Signing in is required at the poolside. Otherwise, dip and enjoy!
