Our stay at EQ Hotel was nothing short of excellent. The hotel is strategically located, allowing my family and me to explore all of KL with ease while enjoying top-notch amenities. The staff were incredibly attentive, embodying Malaysian hospitality at its finest.

A special shoutout to Sam from the concierge and Rubhan, the duty manager. They always met us with a smile and great conversation and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable—thank you!

We opted for a family room with two double beds, which was perfect for a family of four. The room was spacious, immaculately clean, and offered an ok view of the Twin Towers. Housekeeping ensured the room remained pristine daily, with fresh and fluffy towels and comfortable beds enhancing our stay.

While we had pre-arranged dining plans elsewhere, we had breakfast at EQ each day, and it was exceptional. The spread included delicious, authentic Malay cuisine, with plenty of options for the kids, which kept them happy. The food was replenished frequently, and the chefs were more than willing to prepare dishes to order at a moment’s notice. The front-of-house staff provided incredible service.

The gym had a good selection of free weights and was accessible 24/7, which was a big plus. We also made great use of the stunning infinity pool on the 29th floor—definitely a bucket list experience! My wife indulged in a massage at the spa and was impressed by the professionalism and authenticity of the treatments.

EQ’s location is unbeatable—it’s just a stone’s throw from Bukit Bintang’s shopping district, Pavilion Mall, Suria KLCC, and the iconic Twin Towers. It was incredibly convenient for getting a Grab and exploring the city. Our room on the 31st floor had a partial view of the Twin Towers; while we would have loved a higher floor, we understood that our specific room type was only available at that level. The hotel is very business client orientated, so one recommendation would be to have something special for the kids and families, to widen the scope of clientele.

A special mention to Gerard, the General Manager, who personally made a point of seeing us off at the end of our stay—a really nice touch. His dedication to guest experience is evident, and his team is truly a credit to him and the continued success of the hotel. We look forward to visiting again!

A wonderful discovery. I have always selected the hotels in KL based on location which is near Pavilion, Starhill or KLCC as that’s where my meetings are held. I was asked to try EQ instead as my company has an ESG position and it turned out EQ is the only Green Building Gold 5 star hotel in town.
I was booked into a Deluxe room with a view of Twin Towers (big plus) and the bed….was amazing. It’s so comfortable , air cond was quiet and there’s always a nice, subtle fragrance in the room. Breakfast was sumptuous and there is an amazing Japanese restaurant “Kampachi” there and the Etoile Bistro has great coffee and conducive for meetings too. The best part is this hotel is like 5-6 minutes walk to both KLCC and Pavilion if you go to B1 and walk from the road outside Etoile there. I never realised before.
I will stay here again when I am back! 5 star experience and rooms are indeed better than other 5 stars in the city.

This is our third time now staying at the lovely EQ Hotel KL. Everything as always from chech in to check out is seemless. We booked a Premium Club Room for our 12 night stay in January, again the room was extremely clean and very well appointed, house keeping staff are efficient and spot on with everything, Complimentary mini bar is replenished daily along with bar snacks!

We were checked in up at the club lounge on the 50th floor, and we were greeted like old friends. All the club lounge staff are friendly, helpful, polite and good to talk with. Our thanks go Shuk, Afif, Syafig, Virthiga, Kirshen and MJ. We had breakfast in the club lounge but it can also be taken at Nipah on the ground floor, afternoon tea, evening cocktails and canapes are all very good and the club lounge is a great way to relax after a day of shopping!

The hotel is in a great location, easy walking to KLCC Suria and Pavillion Mall. Gravybaby, Healey Mac and McDonalds are minutes away from the back entrance of the hotel. Grab taxis are available from either front or back entrance of the hotel too.

We would also like to thank Club Lounge Manager Anna and Director of Guest Experiences Aslina for taking the time to talk with us and it was also a great surprise to us when they very kindly upgraded our last 3 night stay to a Executive Suite Room. This was totally unexpected but what a lovely gesture. The room is fantastic, double aspect views of the Twin Towers and Menara Tower, lounge area, huge bathroom etc etc. Thank you very much Anna and Aslina!

The hotel and staff are superb and diffinately deserves it's number one status.

Can't wait to come back!

Dissatisfaction with several aspects of my recent stay, 13 to 15 Sept 2024 at EQ that greatly affected my staying experience, Honestly, with a similar location, the Grand Hyatt hotel would be a better choice, offering superior services at better pricing.

1. Lack of Direct TV Subscriptions and TV Box Malfunction: I was surprised to find that there were no direct subscriptions to established TV programs such as ABC, CNN, or CNA etc. Instead, the hotel provided a TV box, which gave an impression of being less premium for a hotel of your caliber. Moreover, the TV box in my room was not functioning properly. The image frequently froze, and despite attempting to turn it off and on again, the issue persisted. This significantly reduced the comfort and convenience expected during my stay.

2. Noise Disturbance from Level 51: Throughout my stay, I was disturbed by loud music coming from Level 51 PAST MIDNIGHT, which could be heard clearly in my room located at level 45. This disturbance led to two nights of poor rest, and I even developed a pimple as a result of the stress and lack of sleep. This level of noise is unacceptable and greatly impacted my overall experience.

3. Laundry Service Issues: I requested laundry delivery before 8:30 AM and made a follow-up call at around 8:10 AM to ensure the clothes would be delivered on time. However, the delivery was not made as promised. After three failed attempts to connect with the laundry department, I had to call the front desk to resolve the issue. This failure in service caused unnecessary delays and inconvenience.

4. Unpleasant Dining Experience Due to Smoking: During my dining experience at Sky51, I was not informed that smoking was allowed in the area. Unfortunately, a smoker was seated very close to me, and I was badly affected by the secondhand smoke. As a result, I had to finish my drink quickly and leave earlier than I intended. This just made the dining experience miserable.

5. Poor Quality Cheese Platter at Sky51: The cheese platter I ordered at Sky51 was sucks. The cheese was dry and powdery, which was very disappointing and not in line with the standard of a premium hotel.

6. Lack of Follow-Up: Despite raising these issues with the front desk during check-out, I was promised a follow-up regarding my complaints. Unfortunately, no such follow-up was made, which only adds to my disappointment with the level of service provided.

Dear Chan J, Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback regarding your recent stay with us recently. We genuinely value your insights, and I’m sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. I sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered, including the TV subscription difficulties, noise disturbances from Level 51, and problems with our laundry service. I understand how these issues affected your stay and caused you inconvenience. I assure you that we are investigating these matters thoroughly to prevent similar occurrences in the future. I also regret the unpleasant dining experience you had at Sky51 due to secondhand smoke and the disappointment with the quality of the cheese platter you received. Your feedback is pivotal in helping us enhance our offerings and ensure a pleasant atmosphere for all our guests. Regarding your concern about follow-up, I apologize for the lack of communication after you shared your feedback with our team at check-out. An extraordinary stay at the most renowned hotel in Malaysia! From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted with impeccable hospitality and warm smiles. The location is perfect—situated between the iconic Petronas Towers, Menara Tower, and the awe-inspiring Merdeka 118, all visible from the spectacular pool where we spent magical evenings soaking in the breathtaking views.
Our room on the 45th floor was a sanctuary of comfort and elegance, offering stunning views of the city—from the bustling streets and the ever-moving SkyTrain below to the majestic silhouette of Menara Tower. The attention to detail in the room’s design made us feel right at home, and the thoughtful surprise from the hotel staff—a delicious mini cake with a “Happy Honeymoon” message—was truly heartwarming and made our stay even more special.
The hotel’s restaurants are exceptional, each offering a unique ambiance and exquisite cuisine. Etoile delighted us with refined delicacies, Nipah gave us an authentic taste of local flavors, while Bottega and Kampachi were absolute culinary gems. The highlight, however, was Sky 51, where we enjoyed an unforgettable dinner paired with jaw-dropping panoramic views of Kuala Lumpur.
Though our stay was only three nights, it was nothing short of unforgettable. This hotel doesn’t just set the standard for hospitality—it creates priceless memories. We will definitely be back! Kuala Lumpur has won our hearts, and this hotel was the soul of our experience. Highly recommended!

We spent 3 nights here in January (16-19), and honestly, this was the best of the four 5-star hotels we stayed at during our travels. From the moment we walked in, the customer service was outstanding. We were greeted with a refreshing drink, and the check-in process was seamless. Every morning, the staff greeted us with warm smiles in the lobby, making us feel truly valued.

The hotel itself is brand new, spotless, and beautifully designed, offering all the modern comforts you could ask for.

The buffet breakfast was a dream – so many amazing options to choose from, including European, Asian, and Malaysian curries, fresh fruit, pastries, and more. A special thank you to the head chef, who went above and beyond every morning to prepare a beautiful dish (photos attached) for my daughter, who has a food allergy, and even packed her a takeaway lunch. It really made a difference and showed just how thoughtful and attentive the staff is. Several staff members were involved in ensuring my daughter could dine safely at the restaurants. Apologies for not remembering everyone's names, but we are so grateful to the buffet dinner head chef, breakfast chef, restaurant, and hotel managers who took the time to attend to us personally. Your kindness and attention didn’t go unnoticed!

A real highlight was the rooftop infinity pool. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and it was the perfect spot to relax. There was always a staff member nearby to ensure everything was taken care of—from replenishing towels to keeping the pool in top shape. The rooftop sky bar was another unforgettable experience. The views of the KL Tower and Petronas Towers at night were mesmerizing, and the vibe was perfect for a night out.

We can’t recommend this hotel enough for anyone seeking a luxurious, memorable stay.

Eyecatching hotel, we were at a skybar opposite and the EQ was almost as captivating as the twin towers in the night time. We had to check out of our current hotel the next morning and as we were sat at the skybar at Menara, we thought ''let's check into EQ''...and we did.

Very warm and friendly staff who were happy to answer our questions about anything such as good places to eat and nice part spots. Hotel room is top quality with floor to ceiling windows offering beautiful night views. Room had a separate bathtub area which I never used but was a nice touch even just visually, with a separate shower area and separate toilet area. Very spacious room with nice little touches and a great offering on toiletries.

The sky bar is a beautiful thing, quality lighting and the entrance from the elevators to the sky bar with the star type decor is absolutely beautiful. We loved the sauna/steam with the walkthrough shower afterwards and we could have stayed there all day.

Quality buffet which had a range of quality options and all tasted very nice.

Great hotel that is almost resort like, in a sense of...there's so many things to do en site, you can easily spend a whole day there enjoying a variety of services and having a great time while doing it. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come again

We stayed three nights for a weekend stopover. It is approximately one hour from the airport.

We were tempted to upgrade the room but were really keen for a twin tower view; we rationalised we would be out the room for the majority so decided not to upgrade and to go for the deluxe queen double with twin tower view. We were floor 47; the view was incredible!

The room was lovely, facilities fantastic, including restocking of mini bar soft drinks and toiletries (which were gorgeous). The bathroom facilities were excellent and luxurious.

The location we found good and we walked everywhere as we are pretty active; we walked to all the key sights in all directions within 30 minutes or less.

Breakfast was good with plenty of variety with excellent service.

The pool area was gorgeous with the most fantastic view, comfortable and with lovely fluffy towels.

The only let down was the service here - not from the pool attendant as he was great but from the hotel bar/restaurant; we ordered a drink the first day and it probably took around 30 mins to arrive. The second day we ordered food and drinks; the wait being similar if not more but to be honest the food was cold and it was a real let down. Certainly not what I would expect from a hotel of this standard. This would be my only criticism.

We spent an evening at SKY51 which had the most incredible ambience!

The staff are a credit to the hotel and it really is beautiful; I would certainly recommend.

This was our third stay, so a review is due. Every aspect of the hotel is impeccable. The aesthetic is design-forward and distinctly Malaysian. The gym and sauna are open 24 hours, which suited my jetlagged circadian clock. If you're traveling with family or friends and need two rooms, EQ has a brilliant solution: you can get two rooms that share a common hall door and small entryway. You can lock the hall door while keeping the room doors open, ensuring both privacy and access between rooms. It's a more elegant version of adjoining rooms. The rooms (including luggage storage area) are spacious, so you won't be bumping against each other or tripping over luggage. The work desk isn't the usual tiny rectangle, but actually long enough for two people to comfortably work side by side. The hotel exudes professionalism and competence in its design and execution.

Hi, I would like to give my honest review to EQ Kuala Lumpur for my recent stay.

First and foremost, I would like to thank you for the excellent service provided for sorting out the room that exceeded my expectations.

Frankly speaking, I was so amazed by the view from my corner lot room which had an awe-inspiring scenery of KL Tower & KLCC. AM or PM the view never disappoint me. The layout of the room was perfectly designed, as i figure out the spacious bag area, a generous king size bed plus the working area facing a 180° view of the tower. The design of toilet is also very humanized, bathtub, mirrors, curtains, shower corner are very thoughtful generally.

I did experienced ionized & clean crisps of air once entering my room. The authentic fragrance of your bed linen grant me a comfy & theraputic sleep.

Early in the morning, i made myself an aromatic double shot black coffee watching the miraculous sky-scrapers view. Not forgetting the super generous complimentary of tibbits, soft drinks & fruit juice choices bestowed. Your work is so delicate that every inch of the details are to be taken care of.

Other than all these beautiful experiences, i would like to emphasize my dinner spent at Sabayon Restaurant as i did few add on dishes after having a deja Vu moment, tasting the foie gra I had in France long time ago. The Asian fusion foie gra was cooked to perfection, the buttery taste of it truly melts my heart away. I believe deeply, your chef did spent tremendous amount of time & effort in order to execute such a satisfying meal for your consumer. There is only one word can explained my intensive emotion throughout my dinner...."EXQUISITE!!".💗

I would like to rate EQ Hotel the best 5 stars hotel in Kuala Lumpur . 👏 Thank you for setting such a high benchmark for us as a hotelier in Malaysia. Kindly send my heartfelt appreciation to all employees in EQ Hotel for your contribution in your work. I will definitely come back again in near future.👏

Hi, due to the size of the pool, does it tend to get/feel busy during the day?

Hi FatBarny23 Thank you for your question. I am trying to answer it as precisely as possible When we were there we never experienced any busy times at the pool. If I try to put the term „busy“ in numbers then the most busy time was when we saw approximately 3 persons in the pool and approximately 8 on the chairs, cabanas and deck chairs around the pool. Compared to the size and the room numbers of the hotel I would not describe this as a „busy“ pool. Hope that helps you to get an insight. Best wishes
