Location 4.5/5
Cleanliness 5/5
Cost 5/5
Amenities 5/5

The hotel did not look great on the outside but they spent money on everything that matters. Quality products, beds, rooms.
Great location (Nankai railway level, Namba Parks exit), 7mins walk (luggage friendly walk)
Multiple convenient stores within 3 mins walk
Rooms are small but typical of Japan, a bit difficult to open luggage in room
Staff don’t speak much english but basic communications is alright and they have translations device.
Free amenities to pick up yourself at the front desk and free face lotion, toner, cream, face wash (that are all actually good) and even branded face mask and bath salts at the reception. Everything was very clean
No picture online for semi-double room but it’s basically 1x Queen/large double bed.

The service staff were very enthusiastic, and the layout of the room was also very reasonable. The accessible face cream is very comfortable, and I am very happy to live. The only problem is that the cleaning is a little careless. The cleaning staff also took away the cigarettes in my smoking room

Very polite English speaking staff. Clean room and other facilities. 5 minute walk to the train station. One station stop to the week known places to go in Osaka. Definitely will stay again and highly recommended. There is no restaurant nearby but plenty of convenience store nearby to get your food

How to get to Hotel from Kansai Airport.
At Airport:
1. After alighting from aircraft, take a one stop monorail to arrival hall.
2. After exiting arrival hall, turn right and go to level 2 to take train to Namba.
Cheapest fare is 920 yen by Nakai Train and takes about 45 minutes to Namba or Nakai Namba station ( Last stop ).
Note: The stations' names refer to the same station.
Note: You can buy a ticket or ICOCA card but we used a PASMO card which I bought in Tokyo 3 year ago. We even use the pasmo card to take the Hankyu Railway to go to Kobe from Umeda Subway and Portliner Train in Kobe to vist UCC museum.
Subway train, Nakai, Hankyu and Portliner are all different train operators.

At Namba/Nakai Namba Station:
We exit the train and turn right then tapped our cards to exit. Went down one level to go to Information Office to enquire our way to the hotel. Basically head south and exit Namba station. Follow the track along or below the Highway. Walk pass Nakai City/ Namba Park , pass Labi ( Electrical Shopping City) then make a right turn at the traffic light/ cross under the highway then look for a indian resturant -Taj Mahal, make a left turn/ cross the road and look for a Pachinko and Slots ( Big Red Building ) turn right and the hotel is opposite Pachinko & Slots.
Note: Namba Park is the name of a shopping centre and not a park or garden.

1. We walked about 15 minutes ( without luggage it will be faster and if you are younger as we are 60 years old ) from Nakai Namba station to the hotel.

Alternate route:
Exit from train ( haven't tap your card yet ) turn left and head towards Nakai City/ Namba park.
Tap your card and exit and go down to level one and walked out of Nakai City/ Nambai Park.
Shorter way which we found out later and because we went to the information office , it will saved 2 minutes of walking by this way.

Alternate route:
From Nakai Namba change to take subway Midosuji Line ( Red line ) and exit at Daikokucho station and exit Gate 1. Walk up step ( there is a family mart just at the exit/entrance of the step) and do a 'U turn.' Pass the the second family mart and turn right and hotel is on your right. Total 5 minutes walk without luggage.
But I won't advise it as I recced the next day . From Nakai Namba it takes 5 minutes to walk to the Midosuji subway line to go to Daikokucho station then walk from Daikochucko station to hotel for another 5 minutes. It adds up to the same timing as you walk from Nakai Namba to Hotel and you will save 180 yen for subway fare for one stop from Namba to Diakochuko.

Hotel:
We paid USD$80 including all taxes per night through Hotel.com after 31% discount and free cancellation too.
1. Very clean and modern.
2. Big television with only one channel in english ie CNN.
3. Free 2 water bottles if you opt for Ecoclean cleaning which mean just makeup the bed but will change bath towels for you.
4. Free coffee, water and apple/orange juice from 2pm to 8pm. We found it useful as we often shop then have lunch before heading back to hotel to put down the shopping items and then we have coffee break at the hotel before heading out again.
5. Helpful, friendly and smiling english speaking staff.
6. Good size bathroom with powerful water shower and nice smelling aloe vera bath shampoo provided.
7. Breakfast is priced at 1200 yen and according to other review it is good. We didn't take their breakfast.
If you request breakfast together with hotel booking, it is only 700-800 yen per day per person.

Surrounding:
1. If you walk from hotel ( turn left at exit and then turn left at main road junction ) to the Diakochuko Subway station, look opposite the main road you will see a 7 eleven store and behind it there is a big supermart and departmental store 'Life' which prices are so much cheaper.
2. 7 eleven sells the best custard pie.( no photo to show)
3. Beside the family mart and above the bicycles/carpark there is a popular sushi restaurant. Saw a lot of local people queueing up to eat.
4.. If you walk from hotel ( turn left at exit) to the subway station, at the main road junction turn right ( note: turn left goes to subway station) and walk pass 2 traffic lights, you will find a cheap eatery ( see photos) . Nothing above 400 yen. 500 yen for noodle and beer.
5. 20 to 25 minutes walk from hotel( turn right at exit ) and walk towards the direction of Namba station, you will be at Labi ( Electrical appliances ) , Kuromon market ( local variety and food ), dotonbori ( Don Quijote shop for all sorts of things ) and shinsaibashi ( Daimaru shopping centre). Takashimaya shopping centre is at Namba Station. Plenty of upmarket and branded shops at Nakai City and Namba Park.

Be aware of a bilingual receptionist lady M when you make a reservation. Her English response was very official but elegant and sarcastic. Sadly I was very surprised by her lack of Japanese hospitality with warmth which I am fond of it.

This is an excellent hotel.
Staff speak English reasonably and are very polite.
The hotel is very clean, quiet
The rooms are small for two as it is in Japan. For the single traveler it’s ideal, couples can upgrade.
I prefer small/quiet/spotless to large/dirty/noisy
The hotel is 1 stop away from Namba Station or OCAT (the terminal for the Kansai airport limousine buses)
The stop Daikokucho, exit 1 and 2 the closest if you catch the subway - Midosuji or Yotsubashi lines.
If you have big suitcases(I would not recommend for Japan, due the size of the hotel rooms) exit 6 has elevator but then you must walk back North about 10-12 min.
The name of the boulevard adjacent will be Yotsubashi-suji. “Suji” means all streets that run N to S, while the streets that finish with “dori” run E to W.
Subway ticket to Namba 180 yen = $1,80. Midosuji line takes you from S to N of the large city center (eg. to Umeda, Osaka Station, Shin-Osaka if you must catch a bullet train).
Proper toiletries, slippers, night-gown doubling as robe, humidifier, trouser press, room deodorant, torch, free plugs and adapters for your electronics (ask reception) excellent curtains to darken the room. Coat hangers not attached, can be moved around.
Across the street is a 'Life' supermarket, the cheapest in Osaka, open till 1 am offering everything you want and more, very cheap.
Drinks offered by the vending machines in the streets/stations/temples can be bought at supermarket for 0.75-0.80 cents. The vending machines in the hotel sell water, cola, juices, iced coffee and beer day/night & there’s free ice in the same room. Near the supermarket there's a 7-11 store with ATM to withdraw money with your foreign credit/debit card. About 3 different 7-11 supermarkets within 5 minutes around the hotel.

Hi,

1)Hotel
Hotel just opened in Dec 2013, hence the stuffs are new.

We stay in semi-double hence its a double bed (this is not a Queen size bed)

Room is exactly the same as the picture provided on the hotel web site

Staffs are friendly and able to communicate in English

2)Location from Subway
The hotel is about 5 minute walk from Daikokucho Exit 1.

Take Exit 5 if you have luggages as that is the only elevator , Exit 4 will give you escalator.

3)Surrounding
There is a "Life" supermarket (closed at 1am) that is 1 minute walk from hotel

A JPY100/plate sushi restaurant is 1 minute walk from hotel

A 7-11 just around the corner of the hotel

Stayed in this hotel after returning from Sanyo area. The first impression of the room is a queen bed squeezed inside a single room. But after staying for one night, i think it deserves a 5-star rating.
Location: 3-5 mins walk from Daikokucho subway (Exit 1), which has two subway lines pass through. It takes around 8 mins to walk to Namba City Mall or 3 subway stops to Tennoji (Red line). If you are taking JR, the quickest should be taking express train to Tennoji and interchange to the RED subway line to Daikokucho
Room: The room is slighlty smaller than the standard Richmond room. Given the 154cm wide double bed, there are not much space. The room could be a bit small for two persons staying together but definitely good enough for single use. Everything looks fresh as it is a pretty new hotel. The bed is super comfortable (simmoxx), which i hope to get one for my room at home. My room is on 10/F and facing the carpark, yet it gets great sunlight.
Service: Quick check-in as usual. They help me to store my peaches in the fridge after check-out, which is so great.

We stayed in this hotel for a family vacation on August 3-6, 2014. This hotel is pretty new and may be about 2-3 minutes walk from Daikokucho train station. Along the way from the station to the hotel and around the hotel, we will find several convenient stores and eating places that offer local foods and snacks. They are open since early morning until late night so you won't need to worry in case you get hungry at any time. No need to buy breakfast from the hotel. It will cost you a fortune! The room itself is small and the bathroom is tiny, just like many hotels in Japan. Yet the bed is comfy, the AC is cold enough and the wifi connection is available. What more do you want? In addition, the hotel staffs is responsive shall we need things like electrical adapters, ironing set and fresh towels. Check in and check out process is also efficient. Overall, I recommend you to stay in this hotel for these four reasons: the price is affordable, the room is comfy (though small), the service is good and the location is near train station and convention stores and eating places.
