Good location, it was about a 8 minute walk from the nearest metro station. You are about a 3 minute walk from the nearest shop and on an evening the local roads are full of bars and restaurants to choose from. Staff were lovely and helped with me with check in and we were an hour or so early so they had a space for luggage. Our room was a triple room and it was definitely on the small side. We did struggle with our luggage and the space there was but it didn’t bother us, the bathroom was also very small but it was ok. Water stations on each floor, clean towels every day. Couldn’t complain about their cleaning services! There was an outside balcony on the reception level which was nice to sit on when you’d had a long day before going up to the room. They offer free hot drinks from reception, and have all the amenities you’d need if you forget (pjs, toothbrush, hairbrush, razors). I’ve never been to a country that have these on offer as standard.

Located in a neighborhood that lives at night, among clubs and a myriad of clubs. The room for 3 is really uncomfortable, you can't move, a small cell with a record bathroom, the standard cabin of a cruise ship is more comfortable. For the rest, modest quality/price.

This was a solid spot for a three night stay in Osaka. It's also very handy to Osaka Station, you get there in less than ten minutes by foot.
The check in and out experience is all done by an automated reception which was very easy to use but any staff we did briefly interact with were pleasant and professional.
The rooms were small but had everything we needed and were very comfortable. There's also a cute robot that glides around the lobby area. I'd happily stay here again when in Osaka.

This hotel does not honor their own cancellation policy- beware before booking. I made a reservation and paid in full with written confirmation that I could cancel and receive a full refund if I cancelled at least 2 days prior to arrival. I did need to cancel and did so 5 days prior to arrival. It took 3 emails before they acknowledged cancellation, but they eventually did, and confirmed a full refund. A week later I still did not receive the refund, contacted them and was told they would not refund saying I was not eligible, but I clearly am. Disputing with credit card company. Save yourself the hassle and book elsewhere.

I had never seen a hotel so small and different from the picture.
Moreover, dust is dripping from the air conditioner on the 1️⃣ ceiling

Breakfast is expensive, so I thought it was a good hotel, but it's unexpectedly poor.
Instead of staying overnight, he moved to another hotel.

He said he would file a complaint with the travel agency but would not refund the money because the hotel could see his website.

The important time in your life,
Definitely not Recommendation for those who value time with family.

The only advantage of this hotel is that it's located in the city center, and I'm doing 30 hotel stays a year, so I can say with confidence that I'm doing that.
It's just, 'Don't do this hotel.'

We were a big family and we booked like 7 rooms for the 14 of us. Japan hotels are relatively smaller than hotels in other countries, which is why we needed a lot of rooms.

BUT. As with most of Japanese citizens, everyone was very nice and polite. They have a coffee machine at the reception area, which is free for all guests. The breakfast they served us during our 5D4N stay was congee with a couple of sides. I didn't look 1 or 2 dishes, but it was very good and filling. There are a couple of izakayas and a Lawson nearby, but because we stayed there during New Years' period, most of them were closed during our stay. BUT. There's a pad near the coffee machine that shows you nearby food places and attractions that you can visit if you'd like to. Else, Google Maps is your best friend.

The nearest station for us was Yodoyabashi station, which was a good 6 minute walk from the hotel. I personally enjoyed this, but it might not be the best for older people who don't like much walking. By train, the hotel is around 20-30 minutes away from Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi, and USJ.

Had a great time overall.

The overall experience was a good one. Pros: Location was very nearby the Yodoyabashi Metro station and a stroll to Osaka Train station. Room was clean and well equipped. Cons: Breakfast was the same item served daily (congee and 2 types of dimsum). Though it was tasty but we stayed there for 4 days so I expected some variety. There was only 1 English channel on TV (CNN). Would be nice if the hotel provided lotion as part of the bathroom amenities.

This is not a legit hotel. I am also dealing with cancellation issue. Hotel told me they refunded and that I should check with my credit card company. but it was never processed. They now admit that they owe me a refund but are now trying to get me to send them wire details, which seems like a scam. Avoid!

This was our fourth hotel for our japan trip and it was the smallest we had stayed in (even for Japanese standards). The roof was low in the room (my partner hit his head a couple of times) and you had to step up into the bathroom. The mattress was like a rock so we didn’t sleep very well. The bathroom sink hangs over the shower/bath (same tap for the bath as the sink) which makes the bathroom feel very poky and smaller again. The positives are that hotel is clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The coin laundry is very useful too and there’s a vending machine too (but cheaper to go to the Lawson’s around the corner). We wouldn’t stay again but would be fine for one person rather than a couple.
Oh and if you go and want osaka style okonomiyaki, head to Chibo it was delicious!!!!

Thank you for making a reservation with Rise Hotel Osaka Kitashinchi. We have different type of room layouts with higher ceilings and we apologize for not assigning you to a spacious room. Under this circumstances informing the hotel staff would be best since we could have switched you to a different room. Thank you for the kind remarks and we are working towards improving our services. We hope to be of service once again.
