Had a couple of days to kill before a business trip in Osaka and had stayed here before so decided to return.

Business hotel so rooms are Japanese size.

Staff are still amazing. So friendly and helpful.

Location is great with Osaka metro stops very close by. Easy to get anywhere in the city.

Convenience stores with 5 minutes walk so lots of food options.

Hot spring is great!

Hope to come back for a third stay.

We booked two double rooms for three nights, before heading to Kyoto. Good value, considering the cleaniness, location (bus 88 opposite the hotel) brings you to Umeda (Yen 200) and taxi to Universal Studio (Yen 2000). Room size is ok though not spacious. The hot spring spa is absolutely the highlight of the stay here. It is open from 6am to 9am, then from 10am to 2am. Two convenient shops nearby, and a few food cafe / restaurants nearby. Hotel can be accessible by train, but the exit from the train station to hotel may not be suitable for people with
huge or many luggages as there is no elevator. Hotel staff are very friendly and have reasonably good English. They are also very helpful. Will definitely recommend any friends to this hotel when in Osaka. We booked the hotel accommodation with breakfast, and find it 'just alright'.

What we liked about this hotel was that it was conveniently located - we only had to walk a few minutes to the subway (Awaza station). The station was only a couple of stops away from Namba which meant we didn't have to travel too far to have access to the major malls/restaurants. Room-wise, our's was very small and the bathroom was tiny too. Positives: lots of shampoo/shower freebies when we first arrived, good service (although they didn't speak English that well), and really fast free wifi. I also recommend going to Burgerlion (just around the corner of the hotel and walk down the street a little) as they have some tasty burgers!

Great location which just 5-10 minutes walk from either left or right side of the hotel to the underground station. Room was impact but sufficient. A big big plus was a Hot Spring, really enjoy it!!!. One last thing was the Receptionist, really helpful and friendly. (One supervisor could speak excellent English).

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in April. While it is a bit out of the way from the main attractions, it is relatively close to the subway station and it is very good value for the money. The rooms are quite small but are very clean. We noticed a lot of Japanese guests (mostly businessmen) but the receptionists do speak English and are very helpful. Hot breakfast is free and is filling.

The directions on how to get there from the subway station could be more specific so I will try to clarify it for people who are going there by subway. If you take the pink (Sennichimae) Line, get off at the Awasa stop. Go toward exit #9, and walk up the stairs (note that if you have heavy luggage, the lifts are inconveniently located in the subway station so you will likely have to carry them up the stairs). After exiting the station, turn right and walk straight. After maybe a 5 minute walk you will see 7-Eleven at the corner. Follow the road around the corner and the hotel will be there on the right. On the hotel web site it says you can exit #3 on green chuo line, but we didn't do this as it looked more straightforward to exit on pink line. If you take the taxi, it's around 20 minutes from the JR Osaka station. However, make sure you print the map out from the web site. Japanese taxi drivers don't speak or read English very well and it will make it much easier if you can write/print out the address in Japanese or show a map as to where it is.

If you use their washer and dryer, note that the dryers do not do a great job of drying the clothes (after two 30 minute cycles my clothes were still damp) so you may be better off just hanging it to dry in room.

It is situated in a quiet business district where bus is more convenient to reach but takes around 30 min from JR station. Take No. 88 to the hotel. If you go by subway you will have to walk 10 min from Awaza station which could be very tired if you carry big luggage.

Room size is no different from other Super Hotel, very small and hard to place the luggage.

Breakfast is the best among Super hotel chains with a lot of local flavor. Coffee is way better than my expectation.

Hot spring seems to be very nice but we didn't try.

Overall experience is satisfying but the location can be a bit inconvenient for a tourist.

I revisited this hotel in February. The hot spring was good. I would continue to give a "very good" rating for the facility and service.

However, the hotel service was below average. It was the worse out of the three hotels which I visited this time. There were incidents which I could raise.

1. The soap dispenser did not work in my room. I called them. They did not fix it and did not leave any message for me.

2. When I first checked out this hotel, the front desk refused to keep my luggage for me even I would check in again after I visited another city. They cited their lack of room. This was my first experience that a hotel would refuse keeping a customer's luggage after checked out.

Obviously this hotel was quite popular, judging from its line of customers during the check-in time. However, its poor service would drive its customers away if they want something more than just a place to stay for the night.

Super hotel in Osaka is a wonderful place to stay in. It is indeed a place I would choose to stay in Osaka if ever the opportunity arose again for me to travel in Japan.

Good points
Allow me to start by saying Super hotel in Osaka is located in a perfect place from the major train station. Located within 15 minutes of walking from the Tennoji train station, it is a breeze to know that all your loot from shopping would not be needing to be carried too far away from your hotel. If you are bringing large luggage around, this may pose a little of a challenge as the road leading up to Super hotel is cobble stones and uphill, so take extra care while moving up to get to the hotel.

Breakfast in Super Hotel is more than you could need. With some careful care needed, you would probably be able to find a seat. Breakfast is served in a buffet style so you would be getting a hearty breakfast before setting off for your day activities.

Onsen in Super Hotel is a must try if you have the time, just be mindful of the timings required for the different genders. This can be found on the front desk where it is displayed. The timings are strictly enforced to ensure no gender conflicts arise. So if you wish to take a Onsen bath, be mindful of how much time you have left.

The wifi in the lobby is decently fast, it allows you to download apps, emails, and allow you to chat with your loved ones back home using whatsapp easily. Definitely a plus point in my books. Simply ask for the password from the front desk and you are connected.

There are many friendly staff manning the hotel. Very polite to any guest residing in the hotel, they always try to ensure that you are comfortable and all your needs are met. They are able to speak a multitude of languages. While my stay, I could hear a mix of Japanese, English and Mandarin being spoken to the various guest. Undoubtedly, if you spoke Japanese, you tend to get better service as with all Japan.

I loved how Super Hotel had a small selection of pillows which allows you to choose. They value your rest and they make an extra mile to ensure that the pillow you use is suited for your preference. Take caution as these pillows run out fast. If you're lucky enough to grab one, don't wait! Take it as throw it in your room before you set off. I guarantee you, almost no pillows will be left when you return from your long day.

Upon entering the room, its good enough for a couple, or solo. I believe three in a room would be pushing it. (Why would you have 3 in the room anyway?) The bed is soft and comfy, always inviting you for a good night sleep. The window is another way of ensuring ventilation as I left it ajar to allow some cold spring air to enter while having the heater switched on. Perfect combination. They further provided me with an additional blanket to ensure if I was too cold, please use it. Another good touch which makes you feel valued.

Power plugs are found on your desk with an amazing variety. Being able to charge any mobile devices from iPhone to Samsung is a very very good touch. I do know many friends who forget to bring their mobile phone chargers and then resort having to buy one while in country. Not for Super Hotel, they allow you to charge your mobile devices and connect to the internet using their cables. That gives me 2 big pluses in book.

Probably the only down side for this wonderful hotel would be that the showers are a little small and if you are a little on the big side, it could prove difficult to maneuver around the shower place and washroom. Even so, it is Japan when space is a constraint so I understand.

I would highly recommend anyone traveling to the Osaka region to take their stay in Super Hotel and you would not regret it one bit. My only request would be to stay in the even numbers of the hotel, the rooms are slightly bigger. Not by very much, but even bit counts.

This hotel has a great onsen on site. It is well maintained and sufficient for use. We find it is a good way to relax after a long day of walk. It is a "must try" if you go to this hotel.

Other than the onsen, the hotel is clean. Service is good. The reception's English is not the best I saw in Japan but they are willing to help out.

Room is pretty small. But I don't care as I only need a good night of sleep. The hotel is in a quiet corner. Therefore, I never have a problem with this.

Honestly, the hotel is not "super" accessible from the subway as you need to walk for about ten minutes from the Awaza station. There is a trick to save a few steps. Awaza station is at the intersection of Sennichimae Line and Chuo Line. Please plan your subway trips to use Sennichiae Line as much as possible because it is closer to the hotel. You will find this tip useful when you are travelling with luggage or your shopping bags to the hotel.

Me and my husband traveled to Japan during our vacation and stayed one night at this hotel before moving onward to Kyoto. We loved it. We paid about 65 CAD for the night and we greeted warmly as soon as we stepped inside. The staff speak pretty good English and will help you anyway they can. When we arrived as well, they gave me a welcome packages of various moisturizer creams! It's just for women guests but definitely was a nice bonus. The Onsen was very nice and clean, and not too crowded. They give you kimonos to wear downstairs, and I found myself wanting one by the end of the trip. There is a restaurant at the hotel as well, and the waitress that served us was great! She spoke only a little English, but was friendly and in all ways helpful.

The room itself was pretty small, but for travelers on the go it was perfect for sleeping and relaxing. All the amenities are provided, and if you return some unused things to the front desk upon check out, (like the toothbrushes they provide) they will give you a small Japanese treat! All in all, loved the hotel and would definitely go back again! With the bus stop across the street and subway just up the road, definitely succeeds in all areas!
