The location is close to the main station about 10mins easy walk. And 10mins to the main shopping and food strips.
The rooms were spacious. A large bathroom with a separate toilet.
The breakfast was below average and not enough. Not worth eating in the hotel.

Large room close to namba station and 10 minute walk to dotonbori. Staff were lovely and helpful. Nice decor and comfy bed. Ok for a few nights as no window in room and bathroom drain a bit smelly. Would stay again.

Hotel Kanade is in a convenient location very close to malls, convenience stores, and restaurants. The staff was friendly and check-in/out was a breeze. I booked the Deluxe Double 32 sq. m. room and it was super spacious and included a sofa and coffee table. Complimentary water, baumkuchen cake snacks and hotel slippers were offered and refilled EVERY day. Heated toilet seat was available and very appreciated since I went when the weather was cold. However, the shower room was very cold, turning off the vent only helped a little.

The bed was comfy except the pillow which became flat every morning. The pillows were very uncomfortable for me. The room had no windows unfortunately. There were also many unnecessary steps for a hotel unit. When you enter the door, there is a genkan entryway +1 step up. At the bathroom, there is +1 up to get to the sink. The toilet is in its own separate mini room with +1 step. The shower room also has +1 step. If you're using the toilet at night, please be careful and turn on the lights to ensure you don't trip. The noise filtering is also not good as you will hear everything and everyone out in the halls.

Another tiny gripe that was mentioned in other reviews is that some rooms are in the second building and not the main building. The second building's elevators are freely accessible by people as no key card is needed.

Other than that, I enjoyed my stay here and would book again.

I stayed at this hotel in October 2017 at the end of a trip through Japan. I arrived at the OCAT (Osaka City Air Terminal) bus station and walked around the corner to the hotel. I left on a flight from Kansai (KIX) and took a bus from the same station leaving at x:10 or x:40 taking 48 minutes and only costing 1050 Yen. There is a machine on the 2nd floor of the station selling tickets that has an English language button - don't purchase anything from the people behind the counter, they only sell tickets to the other destinations besides the airport. If arriving on the Shinkansen at the Shin-Osaka station take the subway to the Yotsubashi station (Y14) and find Exit 28 or 29 which will take you up to the street level in front of the hotel.

I travelled alone and got a single room which, even by Japanese standards, was very small with the bed pushed up against one wall. As others have also mentioned, my room had a window with no view and an adjoining building about 12 inches/30 centimeters away.

The room was very noisy because I could easily hear people talking and walking in the hallways, air conditioning units of adjoining rooms and the car engines and horns of vehicles on the street. Also, the room had no carpeting, a first for me. The television had 12 Japanese channels but nothing in English.

There are two separate buildings and I was in the 2nd building (50 rooms on 7 floors) without any reception and therefore little security. The front door was always open and anyone could come in off the street and up the elevator to any floor unchallenged. There were security cameras but I was never sure anyone was actually monitoring them. If you stay here be sure and get a room in the main building with the front desk and not the building next door.

The room was clean and the building new in a great area near the Namba station, shopping streets and Dotonbori Shinsaibashi. My room included breakfast (800 Yen from 6:30 am - 10:00 am) with a sign in the room indicating it was both "Japanese and Western" but the selection was so meager that I only went down to the basement breakfast room 1 morning of the 2 I was there.

In my small hotel room was a tea kettle, hair dryer, slippers, refrigerator with 2 bottles of water, desk with 2 chairs and in the bathroom was shampoo, conditioner, body soap and face soap. Check-in was at a very late 3:00 pm and check-out at 11:00 am.

I look back with dread at my time in this hotel. The room was the smallest in a country with small rooms, there was absolutely no view or fresh air through the window, no carpeting or floor covering and no English language channels on the television. The best thing, other than the price, about this hotel was the location in the center of all the shopping action of Osaka and near the trains and subways.

This is a good hotel if all you do is sleep, shower and store your luggage for 1 night and nothing else. The rates are great for a very expensive city but the room was just too depressing and life is too short for me to ever return or recommend this hotel to anyone else. Pay a few more Yen and stay someplace else, any place else.

The hotel is located in the middle within private Namba subway line and JR Namba station it may be abit hard to find when you first reach but after you get used to it will be fine. It’s near the OCAT center and it might be abit confusing if you take the Nankai airport express to the hotel. Cuz they will usually dropped you at the private Namba station. Just followed signs to JR station will be easier to find the hotel, it’s along the road.
You can skipped the hotel breakfast as the choices were very poor. We booked a 4D3N and we only ate the first day and decided that 7-11 sell better breakfast.
Room tv channel was pathetic, all Japanese no English movie channel and out of 10 channel, 5 of them is porn and the whole day from 10am to 12 midnight showing porn. Most of the Japan hotel is like that as they want you to pay additional for movies and channels.
Lucky it was a smart tv and we able to login Netflix.
Beside the hotel has a pharmacy and a few
Restaurant, walk down the road for about 10-15 min will be the famous District with all the shops and cafes.
Overall it was quite a good hotel and it consider big for Japan hotel. We booked a main building double room and have a living room area and separated bathroom and tub.

Room quality was average. After check out, I asked the hotel reception if I could leave one small luggage for 1 day storage as I was taking a side trip to Koyasan. Other hotels during my travels in Japan always accommodated such requests. I specifically selected this hotel for its proximity to the Nankai train station and metro access. The receptionist declined quoting their "their priority is for the customer of the day" (...not the one that was a customer 5 minutes ago). It was low season, the hotel was not full and the receptionist was not busy. I was very disappointed and will not return or recommend this hotel.

I chose this hotel cuz of the location.
Very close from everhthing. actually there are lots of good hotels near the heart of the city but this hotel's price is very reasonable and everything is new. I can't say it is very cozy and comfy to stay but for travlers who wants to sleep just and look for good and cheap hotel near the center of the city I recommend this hotel. even it is close to OCAT bus terminal and really big mart. After heavy shopping it is good to go to the airport. nice and kind staff members, newy facilities, not carpet floor(clean).

Just only 1 step from exit 28 you can reach the hotel. Double room is consist of a queen size bed, complete necessary amenities: bathroom kit, TV, Hair-dryer, Kettle, green tea and 2 bottles of mineral water free. This hotel is new and clean. All staffs are very nice. Breakfast room is on B1F, start at 6.30 - 10.00 am, buffet both Japanese & Western style that moderate tasty. If you check-out in the morning, you can leave your baggage at hotel free. From hotel to Dotonbori around 600 metre, 15 min by walk. From/to Kansai airport by Nankai train, you can walk through underground walkway around 800 metre, or by OCAT bus that stop at JR Namba station (350 metre from hotel).

In sum: amazing location for tourists; room facilities and condition very good but "double" beds are small and minor comment: some annoying lights (not due to street).

Location: however you get to Namba station(s) (subway, JR or Nankai) head to exit 29 and you are 3 meters away from the hotel! Seeing as though Namba is a very well connected station and is perfectly located for exploring the cool Dotonbori area, you could not ask for more for location.

Room: we had the "double room, non-smoking (bed: 135cm)" room. Although this does fairly warn me about bed width, the length was also an issue for me, and I am a guy of average height (6 feet; 183cm), but had my feet off the end of the bed most of the night. The mattress was otherwise very comfortable. The condition and facilities of the room was excellent, as one would expect in Japan. Shower temperature and pressure was excellent.

Light in the room: One issue however is the amount of light that comes in the room, not from the street (indeed the curtains are fine for stopping outside light). Next to the bed are light switches for the main lights. Although their location is convenient, when the lights are off, a small green LED glows from within the switch. This LED is pretty bright and is next to your head. Another source of light is from the corridor, through the door. This could be easily and cheaply fixed by the hotel with two modifications. 1) under the door there is a gap where light pours in (hotel could fit soft strips to block the light). 2) the spyhole shines brightly (hotel could fit a simple swivel-cover over the top of it).

This is one of the worst hotel stay in Osaka. The room is dim, window not functional, bathtub is very dirty, toilet & bath is separate. The furniture is very old style. Looks spooky room. Yes the room is very big but you don’t feel comfortable staying in the room. Plus there’s too many slippers in the room, feel like there already people staying before you checked in. Worst of all, I had a bad fall in the room during the 1st night check in & bruised my face. Immediately check out the next day. Anyway not recommended for this hotel stay. Even though JR metro is just right beside hotel but it’s useless metro station only good for travelling to & fro airport. If you want to go attractions, you have to take their subway trains which is 10 mins walk away from Namba station.

I did a search on "Kansai to OCAT" and the first link is the Express Shuttle Bus. The fastest way to get to OCAT is the Express Shuttle Bus. It costs about $11 USD one-way and takes about 50 minutes. I was quite impressed with the hours available!

Hotel Kanade is a small hotel target mainly for business travelers, thus all the rooms are rather small. Do not think they have family room for a double bed and another single bed for children. But you can always ask the Hotel staff directly.

The road is not friendly to those with big luggages. The pedestrian way is small not really smooth for luggage wheel. Just take note, but I was managed to reach hotel with big luggages.
