My boyfriend and I decided to stay in a Capsule hotel for one night. It was a fun experience and definitely something different to try. The place is split up into a female and male section so feels completely safe at night. The capsule is pretty big (you can sit up and turn around easily). The bathroom is clean and...

Stayed here for 3 nights during peak season (week after Easter), and I personally find this a good experience with no particular complains. But this is not a place to stay for everyone, you need to know what to expect. You can literally not pack any toiletries, they provide toothbrush, hairbrush, shampoo, conditioner etc. They also provide towels and pyjamas....

We decided to stay in a capsule hotel for the novelty and to say we had done it. It's much more spacious than I thought but one night was enough. We stayed in late March and it was quite cold outside but almost stifling inside to the point that I felt overheated. That being said the public baths are awesome...

One of the images that you picture when you think of Japan, staying in a capsule hotel is pretty much a "must do" when you visit. I've actually stayed at this hotel 3 times now as I think it is a fun experience and you probably wont get anywhere much cheaper, at least not so close to Dotonbori where all...

Its my first time in a capsul hotel. I only stayed for just 1 night as i was arriving late in Osaka and had a train ride early the next day. This was definitely a unique experience. For those used to western style hotel or backpacking hostel in europe, this is definitely different. Leaving shoes in footlockers at reception was...

I stayed at the female only area during the NYE period. My bed was clean. Luckily I am not a light sleeper. Otherwise I'd suggest to have earplugs with you. The locker room was quite dusty. The manga room was full of second-hand smoke and very dim. You can see the facility is quite old and the staff at the...

Before coming to Japan, I heard a lot about those capsule hotels and I wanted to try one for sure! - noise! no door for the capsule only a tattered screen, you hear everything and everyone around you and with dozens of capsules in one room there is always somebody going in or out - common bathroom, to be expected,...

You must try this capsule hotel, even if it is only for a night. The location is also extremely good, just a few steps from the main shopping streets and transit amenities. Try to make an online reservation to save a couple of bucks with 2,900 yen a night. The stay includes unlimited use of sauna and hot bath which...

I stay in this capsule hotel sometimes because it is cheap and accepts women. It's a bit of a pain to go in and out as you have to check your shoes in and out every time you leave the hotel. You also have a locker for your valuables since the capsules do not lock: they just have a curtain....

Keep in mind this is a) a capsule hotel b) cheap Taking into account those two hugely important factors, I'd say this is a really really good place to stay. First off nobody should be planning to stay in capsule hotels for more than one or two nights unless in the strangest, most dire need. The sleeping arrangements are what...

“A pair of earplug is necessary if you're sensitive to noise. A large backpack is a better choice than a luggage case, and definitely bring as little as you can. The area isn't the best for solo female traveler (my taxi driver told me the area is 'very dangerous,' but I spent 2 days around the area and nothing bad happened really.)”
