We booked direct with the hotel for 2 Courtyard Rooms + Extra Bed in one at approx. $360sgd per night. Hotel is situated next to Shin Osaka JR Station which made it really convenient for us to travel from City to City such as Kyoto (~20min) or Nara(~35min) or Universal Studios Osaka (~50min). The internal travel within Osaka was a little inconvenient as we had to change to the Subway which the JR Pass doesn't cover. Nevertheless travel to Namba/Umeda/Shinsaibashi takes only 20min+. Rooms and toilets are spacious and clean. Going back to rest after the day ends is comfortable as room is spick and span! Bottled water and amenities (Towels, Shampoo, Shower Gel, Toothbrush, Bedroom Slippers, Cotton, Sponge and etc.) are provided in the room. Would definitely come back here for a stay the next time round! :)

Shin Osaka is one of the big hubs in Kansai region. This hotel is connected to the station (where there are tons of shops / restaurants / quick snacks, btw). It has easy access to the shinkashen, JR lines, subway lines. For people who desires to check out the surrounding areas such as Kyoto, Himeji, Kobe, Nara, even Tokyo, this hotel makes a great base. Amenities wise, it is not a top end one. It does have a small gym with sauna, but no pool. there are restaurants on site, but we did not check them out. When we arrived there, it was right when the Covid 19 epidemic started and big tourist locations were beginning to close. The hotel staff not only helped us navigate what is still opened, they also provided us with a few face masks to protect ourselves. It was very kind of them. There were also plenty of hand sanitizing stations. We had a upper floor room, the room is pretty standard and there is nothing to write home about. Clean, with standard basic amenities. You really are staying here for the superb location. One thing I would add, given the close proximity to the station, you may want to request a room that is not facing the railroad. Light sleepers beware.

I used pints to redeem two nights for my family to meet up another family friend here. It so conveniently located, connecting to Shin-Osaka Station, which is very nice when it rains. We all had a great time and the stuff are super nice!

Happy to be back at Courtyard Marriott Shin-Osaka and it’s always nice to be recognised as a returning guest, complete with green tea bags and cookies. Doesn’t hurt that the cookie is yums! Bed is firm, room very spacious and comfortable for 2 persons even. Bathroom too which is rather unusual for hotels in Japan, they are usually very cramped and small so I appreciate this very much. Needless to say, very clean and well maintained. Truly a pleasure to return. Location is excellent, being next to the Shin-Osaka station with connections to Shinkansen, JR Line and Midosuji Metro. Going anywhere and everywhere is a breeze. My top choice everytime in Osaka!

Located right next door to Shin-Osaka train station, the Courtyard by Marriott is a nice hotel. Next door to the large lobby is a restaurant which is where breakfast is served. The fitness center is downstairs and a reasonable size and well equipped. There are further bars and restaurants in the upper floors of the hotel. Our room was a good size, with a decent sized bathroom. The shower was very good and there was also a toilet with a heated seat and various other technological offerings. There was a TV with some English language channels in the room, complimentary teas, coffees and waters and a pay mini bar. Importantly, the bed was extremely comfortable.
