This is a modern hotel with all the attributes of a boutique family owned establishment. Well situated, staff direct you with knowledge and helpful maps and lists. I've been lucky enough to stay in very good hotels but would put this at top of the list.

Very good location wher you can take a walk to Kiyomizu temple within 20min, Yasaka shrine and Gion another 5 min. Sanjusangendo temple is right next door and Kyoto national museum is right across the street. Small, bit functional rooms, nice bar. Breakfast venue is a bit too tiny for its guest capacity, Japanese set breakfast is recommended.

The Hyatt Kyoto has delivered for us two years in a row. What makes this place such a gem is that the staff is so helpful. Everyone's english is top notch and they really know how to make you feel at home. In particular, I would like to thank Ms. Sakura Bando. She provided us with excellent hospitality, advice and...

Excellent location. Nice sized room with superb bathroom. Better than average mattress for comfort. Lots of breakfast selection with great sliced ham. Good cappuccino. Helpful staff. Superb concierge service.

We stay at the hotel for two nights in January 2017. The guest rooms, hotel condition were excellent! But the location was just fine as you need to take Taxi to the downtown. We had breakfast at the Grill. The food quality was good but the variety of selection was limited. The worst thing was the disgusting customer services. The...

We spent our first three nights ever in Japan at the Hyatt Kyoto and they made us feel very welcome. The concierge in particular suggested a couple of very good not too flashy restaurants. The bedrooms were well-designed but compact, probably a standard size for a Japanese city but a bit of a shock arriving from spacious Auckland.

This is a very good hotel with excellent rooms (very well kept) and very good and consistent service. We spend a couple of nights and enjoyed very much our stay. Rooms are big and the bathroom is very well designed and spacious (something not usual in Japan). We got the free ride with MK taxi from Kyoto Station that will...

The hotel is not centrally located but rather in a quiet area not far from Kiyomizu. The tourist taxi took about 5 minutes from Kyoto Station to the hotel. Front desk, Sayuri was really accommodating our early arrival at 10 am. Our room was clean and quite, and the technology in room, LaunchPort was user friendly. However, the extra bottles...

A short MK Taxi ride from Kyoto Station, the Hyatt Regency Kyoto is an older but well maintained elegant hotel. From the moment you pull up into the driveway, the staff promptly welcomes you and assists with luggage, check-in process. The check-in process was painless as the front desk team quickly took payment and confirmed room and walked us through...
