I have discovered Duo Inn during a short visit to Kyoto in 2015. Encouraged by that first experience, I booked there again, for a full month, including the high season of cherry blossom. My wife and son have joined me for 2 weeks of vacations and during their visit we have occupied 2 studios. We were all very happy with...

We stayed at the Duo Inn for 5 nights in May 2016, following a recommendation of a friend, and it was excellent. The room was very spacious and well furnished, the level of service was outstanding. Everything was perfect, we were actually so sad to leave! If we go back to Kyoto, we definitely go back to this place.

We visited Kyoto three time in last two years and we stayed at DUO INN during all these three trips. The feeling is still unchanged since first visit - It's just like our home in Kyoto. The house is really great!! And it's very safe for password key lock for the room door. The house is surrounded with restaurant, Lawson, and bus station, of course including randen train station. And the landlord is really friendly and nice~ It's no doubt that I will check in this apartment if I go to Kyoto next time~

I stayed in Kyoto at the Duo Inn for 12 nights in November 2015. It was clean and just as it had been described in the promotional information I received before my visit. Yoshi (manager) is a great advocate and assistant at the Duo Inn. His english is very good and he went out of his way to be helpful....

My husband and I stayed at Duo Inn for 8 nights in November and we had a great time. Though it's located far from Kyoto station (about 35 minutes on bus), commuting within Kyoto by public transportation is easy. We enjoyed the village ambience and the inexpensive eateries serving yummy Japanese food (recommended by Yoshi the manager). He speaks fluent...

My wife and I spent 4 days at the Duo Inn in Nov 2015 and were thrilled by the excellent service of the Manager. He spent an enormous amount of time to explain the facilities, the nearby surroundings, the best transport arrangements. On the last day, he pulled his back and was in enormous pain but his enthusiasm and passion...

Staying in Nishijin District

Neighbourhood Profile
Nishijin District
A district with a long textile heritage, ancient Kyoto is still alive in the Nishijin District. Studded with its weaving factories, tea houses, and onsen, the neighborhood is charming and peaceful with a self-possessed air. Less traveled than other parts of the city, it is a district where you can take it at your own pace. Visitors can explore the many weaving and cloth houses, the free kimono shows, and the many shops selling traditional clothing and goods. Showcasing architecture with sloping roofs and wooden reliefs dating to decades past, the streets in the Nishijin District transport you back in time, making them a joy to wander.
