I had only stayed for two days and a night, but I wish I stayed longer. It was a lovely time in a beautiful traditional ryokan, with many excellent amenities which craft a perfect experience. But what I can't emphasize enough is the service! The staff is super friendly and really made the experience! I can't recommend this place enough.
Amazing experience in a traditional ryokan. Located in a strategic position, very close to the main Kyoto station, what you book is not a normal stay, or a room for the night but a real extraordinary experience! The atmosphere inside seems magic, kaiseki dinner and breakfast are something that can't be described until you try it and the crew is the icing on the cake! Thanks for eveything!
My Finance' and I stayed for 2 nights here in February 2020. It was an unforgetable experience. We had a large room that overlooked the shrine across the street. One night we did the traditional dinner in our room and it was so good and so many different items to try. We really had a lovely experience at this venue and the staff were always so helpful and nice. They also spoke very good english and were patient when we tried to speak Japanese.
My family stayed here in 2017 for a couple nights and really enjoyed our stay. The staff running to hotel was very nice. The food was very tasty and had a nice spread. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Ohanabo was a great experience for us as we wanted to experience the authentic ryokan style of living. However, being city bums that we are, we also wanted to ensure that it had the modern amenities that one would require on a holiday. Ohanabo definitely gave us that! Ohanabo is a house with multiple rooms for guests along with a restaurant and an onsen. We were welcomed by the lovely ladies that run this place and were checked in instantly. The room was beautiful and simple. There were yukatas and other toiletries kept for us in the room too.It was not as small as expected and had an aircon(much to our relief) and comfy mattresses with blankets. They had a public onsen in the ryokan house as well. This is a must try for all visitors - so relaxing and liberating! They had separate bathrooms and toilets as well but none as ensuite - all outside the rooms. We also enjoyed a lovely traditional japanese breakfast (13 course) - every item on that table was yum! Overall - a fantastic experience! The ladies will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable.…
