This is a standard Japanese hotel but closer to Western room size. Beds we just OK for a family of four unless you are are larger person. It is a bit tight but OK for a night or two. Nice Italian Restaurant downstairs which converts to do Breakfast. Check in second floor. Car parking if you call ahead and in the adjoining building. Good location and walk to most inner city locations.

We stayed at the Diana Roynet Hotel in Sapporo for a few nights on the tail end of our February snow holiday. The hotel itself is in a fantastic location in the main tourism area of Sapporo. It’s very close to the main shopping district, bars and an infinite range of restaurants to dine at! We honestly were unable to fault the location and if you are staying in Sapporo, this is the area to be in. Having recently visited Shinjuku Tokyo, you will be forgiven for thinking that you are in the colder version of Tokyo. With the hotel located in amongst the unlimited range of neon signs, high rise buildings and lively nightlife. This is the best feature of the hotel. The rooms themselves are nothing to write home about. The room is small, the beds are hard and the pillows are rice. We struggled to find a place to store two suitcases during our stay. Sadly it was pretty much take your clothes out, pack the suitcase back up then store it against the wall. I’ve been on cruises with rooms this big, if not bigger! Also the elevator always stopped at level 2 every time without fail, even though no one was wanting the floor. Which became very annoying having it happen time after time. Sadly this is a “safety feature” and can’t be avoided. I couldn’t fault the service of the staff, nor their attitudes, also the breaky that was included in the price was excellent. This was an enormous benefit that we were searching for when booking a hotel and it did not disappoint! Great selection of both Japanese and western style foods. Would go there just for breakfast if I was staying in the area. Overall the Diawa Roynet Hotel was 3/5 stars due to its great location/service/breakfast. However, lost stars in both the size and comfort of the room plus a few minor inconsistencies of the hotel such as the elevator. If I could find something else for the same price with the same inclusions and in the same area, I’d probably try it before staying here again.

A very affordable 4 star hotel in the middle of downtown Suksukino district of Sapporo just 10 mins walk from Odori Park and a great view of the Sapporo TV Tower. It is also just 5 mins walk from the famous Tanukikoji Shopping Street with tons of restaurants, souvenir shops, malls, stores, convenience marts and cafes. The nearest subway is Hosui Susukino Subway Station literally just 3 mins out from exit 5 but you need to take stairs. The hotel lobby is located on the 2F so you need to take lift or stairs but its is absolutely grand and spacious. There are several sofas and seating areas and a big space for luggages enough for your own personal space and very clean. The check-in is quite fast and they provide all the relevant information. They also offer free warm compress packs since its winter. One of the unique complimentary is the drip coffee they provide which I love. At just less than 100 SGD per night it is way bigger and cheaper than Tokyo or Osaka rooms. Our room is very spacious with study table and relaxing chair. Our view is magnificent - downtown Suksukino with all the lovely snows on top of the buildings. Our double bed is warm and comfortable. Heating can be controlled personally or centralized. The WIFI is a bit slow though. TV only has local channels. They don't provide complimentary water but the tap water is drinkable and there is kettle hot water. Slippers are provided and the closet is big for our winter jackets and coat. Toilet and Shower is also very spacious. They provided complete toiletries and the tub is very clean and easy to fill and control the water heating. It was really a great choice for us especially if you wanna be near the main attractions in Sapporo and a 4 star hotel without being concerned about the price.

Travelling as a group of four to see the Festival, the Daiwa is smallish hotel, located one floor up from the street. In walking distance to Odori Park and Nishi 4- Chrome, Chuo. At street level there is a 7/11 and Italian restaurant Salvatore Cuomo & Bar. Your breakfast vouchers issued by the hotel will get your buffet breakfast served in the Salvatore Cuomo. It was an excellent breakfast with a mix of Japenese and western style dishes. There are many great restaurants in the area as well. The rooms were small and the beds a little hard but the staff were excellent. A good place to stay at this time

This hotel provide smoking room and vending machine for hot and cold drinks just near to the hotel reception which is convenient. Hotel breakfast is thumb up for the varieties and desserts. The only thing that's not so good is their bed. It's really hard and stiff that you might end up having problem sleeping.
