Detailed Reviews
The Knot Sapporo is in an excellent location. Convenient to transportation, close to shopping & food, and easy to go to some tourist attractions, as well. It's a simple hotel but provides all the basic amenities. Clean & modern, too.
We booked a standard queen room with tram & city view that is PWD-accessible. The space was enough for me & my husband with 2 big luggages & a wheelchair. However, the spaces on both sides of the bed were too tight, almost against the wall, so it was uncomfortable to move around the bed. The pillows were hard & heavy, too. Please also don't expect daily cleaning of the room. They only change towels, replenish bottled water, & take out the garbage. If you want your room cleaned, you need to inform them 1 day in advance & pay a fee.
No front desk, too. A staff would assist in checking in digitally on a desktop monitor, then it's express check-out. Just drop the keys in a box inside the elevator.
All in all, it's a good hotel in a great location, but needs improvement for better comfort.

The hotel is 1.3 km from the main Sapporo Station so it is very accessible. When you land in New Chitose Airport, you can take a metro for 5 stops (about 45 min and cost 1180 yen) to the Sapporo Station. You can come out of the main entrance and walk straight for 20 min along the main road. Or you can take a metro to the Odori Station. All the downtown shopping and eateries are just around the hotel. The rooms are clean but the reception at the foyer is a little too impersonal with almost everything been automated.

This hotel has an outstanding location in the heart of shopping and entertainment district. This hotel is connected to underground shopping mall which is part of the Susukino metro station. In winter (with snow) this would be greatly appreciated. Room with tram views are very quiet. Reception is on level 2 with large restaurant and bar area. Self serve washing machines are available on the basement level. You can walk to all major night clubs-bars within a 5 to 10 minute walk. The tram (outside) the hotel will connect you Sapporo Mt.Moiwa Ropeway (30 min tram ride)

we choose this hotel because of the location which is right at the heart of shopping area , good access from the underground at Pole Town .
our room rate average of Usd 400 / night , and for that rate our room is not cleaned daily , they only change the towels and clean our garbage . Room amenities was not provided in the room and you have to trouble to collect yourself on the second floor , they provide water kettle but without tea / coffee !!! this is very disappointing.
Room size is very small the bath room also small . the pillow is very small , my wife could not sleep well because of it .
they gave us 3 hotel coins per person to enjoy at hotel bar , but they require to pay 3 coins for the entrance fee at the bar and they give plate of tiny desserts cake .. meaning you have to buy the drink.
the hotel almost provide no service at all .. so much different than the hotel I stayed previously at hotel JR Nikko sapporo ..
We won’t be back for sure .

Terrible service
Staying at the knot and we were given tokens for a drink and snacks. The gin and tonic I ordered was given in a plastic cup
- horrible and cheap. We were told we could not sit down unless we spent 4 tokens. Went to sit at lounge the next day and told it would cost me 550 yen. I explained to the manager we had brought a room and should be able to use the facilities he said no will cost you. Never have I encounter this before terrible hotel. No costumer service don’t come here.

Location is excellent. On rainy/snowy days you can take the elevator down to Pole Town/subway stations. Stayed in a Superior Queen with City View & Deluxe King with Panoramic View. Rooms were clean, queen room was your typical Japan size. The King room is very spacious and has a great view. At check-in they give you coins which you can redeem for food and drinks during their happy hour.

We had an amazing time at The Knot in Sapporo. The staff was very friendly. I sent several emails prior to our arrival, and each one was answered quickly. We did have someone check us in who was very nice and walked us through the check-in process. We had train tickets delivered to the hotel and were given then tickets as soon as we arrived. The room was small but clean and comfortable. Each evening, we were invited to a free snack in the restaurant to meet other guests. Each morning, we were served the most amazing Japanese breakfast. We will stay here again. We took a cab to ski Tiene, which was very convenient. The location is great, we walked everywhere from the hotel.

We selected a large room on the 8th floor. It was very quiet and comfortable. The shower is awesome. There’s a hot water kettle, small fridge, and unlike the US, very good lighting. Bathroom is equipped with a deluxe Japanese toilet. Beds are comfortable and the pillows are the hard Japanese variety. The Knot gives each guest 3 coins per person per day which can be used to purchase food and drinks in their restaurant. We had several meals and drinks and the coins went far. The staff at the restaurant are terrific and helpful. The hotel is convenient to great shopping. We would definitely recommend The Knot.

Have stayed in some 20 mid-range Japanese urban hotels, and this is the best. Wow. So, so much better than most. Such a stylish property whose lobby I didn't want to leave. Very nice touch to offer a free happy hour drink/appetizer too. Staff was really considerate, like offering coffee and croissant even though I didn't pay for breakfast. Thanks to Mana-san for her kindness Rooms are really stylish despite being compact size. Only thing to improve would be to have softer pillows.

Good location, 2 stations on subway from JR Sapporo station. Can walk underground tunnel/shopping strip from Sapporo station to Odori to Susukino. New, modern hotel for Japanese traveller. Majority Japanese, some foreigners. Japanese breakfast was lovely and worth getting, but it didn’t really change, we stayed 6 nites so it got a bit repetitive but it was lovely. Laundry downstairs, very handy to stick on a wash, but it can be busy. Lifts were crazy slow, waiting a long time was standard. We got the room with king bed and room was larger so was luxurious by local hotel standard. Their happy hour was quirky but worth trying the steamed potatoes with cod roe butter! Would stay again.
