This hotel is beautiful, surrounded by the lake and very inexpensive. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The room was spacious, overlooked at the lake and was well decorated. I found the price very reasonable for the area. The lake is just few steps away and is not in the main area. I strongly recommend this hotel.

If you plan on dining at the hotel after 8pm, acquaint yourself with Monty Python’s “Cheese shop” skit. I arrived at 8:15, after being told at check-in that the restaurant was open until 10pm. I was seated, handed a fine menu with gorgeous photos of every delicacy in mouth-watering detail. All had, along with the Chinese name, the English name... More

Spent a week in Hangzhou Jinxi hotel. Had a room with garden view in villa 3. Very clean, tidy, full of amenities (kettle, stationery material, Ethernet cable, tourist guides, iron board, slippers even razor and spare underwear...). the mattress was a bit hard for my taste and you can select different pillows if you wish with neck support (there is... I stayed here at the start of a vacation to three cities in China. Hangzhou did not compare well with the other two: Xi'An and Beijing. It was hot in all three cities, but it felt extremely hot in Hangzhou. The main attraction here is West Lake, and for this reason we decided to stay at the Jianxi. A good... More

The Jinxi hotel is a traditional Chinese hotel, which is conveniently located to a number of attractions. For example, the West Lake is within a few minutes walking distance. Right across the street is a lovely garden, with beautiful water Lily's, which leads directly to the West Lake. The rooms at the hotel are a bit small. And my biggest... More

West Lake jinxi (golden springs). Hotel is very beautifully designed and conveniently located on West Lake near the attractions. The rooms are a bit small but comfortable. The breakfast buffet is good but towards the ending time may not be replenished unless specifically requested.

I travel to China on business exclusively. I so tend to stay in nicer hotels because being from the U.S., these trips represent wear and tear on oneself. No need to suffer with respect to accommodations. This hotel is perfect, really. It is ideally situated such that on the one side of the property you can access all the hustle... More

My wife and I enjoyed a relaxing four night stay at this well appointed hotel. The hotel appears to host many conferences but it is large enough to cope with the influx of conference goers and still remain quiet. The desk staff were very helpful and speak English and the room was very clean and comfortable. A wide variety of... More

We stayed here overnight in 3 family rooms coming to see the famous West Lake and nearby tea plantations. The Hotel is very Chinese in both design and experience but with all the mod cons. Clearly it caters mostly for Chinese tourists as even the reception staff hardly spoke English. However they were very polite and helpful and all in... More

This hotel is different than any I have seen in China. It is next to the west lake, and the area is very quiet. It feels more like a lodge. The lobby is nice but not fancy, and the rooms are cozy but not big. The breakfast was good and had some western options. The room was a little dated,... More
