The price of the rooms was really good for such a week. Even though the hotel was not for luxurious stays, it provided what we needed.
The location was perfect that it located the centre of the city centre. The staff was really friendly and attentive. They arranged rooms on high floor for us so the noise was not a problem to us.
The pillows were the only thing I would find room for improvement, and the menu of the breakfast was quite repetitive every day during the time we stayed.

Excellent location, quiet - just slightly off the main road with shopping, food and key attractions nearby.
Very short walk to Bell Tower and Muslim Quarter, about 10 mins' walk to South Gate City Wall
There's a concierge who arranged our airport transfer (which was cheaper than our guide's rate)
24-hour convenience store next to the hotel.
And with the usual complimentary buffet breakfast, it's great value.

The breakfast was good and I loved the porridge. Selections were fine. The location is very good as very near to metro and easy access to some main attractions, like Bell Tower, Muslim Quarters. Sunny, the manager during breakfast on our last day also fried the fried rice again so it was hot from the stove; really loved this special extra touch. The staff were helpful. The hotel room was very clean and we had 2 double beds for 3 of us. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The water pressure was very good too. The washrooms, breakfast area and lifts were all close together, unlike some hotels where where you have to walk a long way from the breakfast area to the washrooms. The layout for these 3 facilities were very good and within easy reach of each other. I would certainly stay at this hotel again if I come back to Xian. Nearby are some shops selling tourist stuff. Most useful was that there was a hotpot restaurant just across the hotel - about just 10 steps away. This restaurant appears very popular as you need to queue up to enter the restaurant (take a queue number and sit on stools outside the restaurant till your number is called or they will text you (I think).
One suggestion though - there is a fridge at the reception area where guests can help themselves to soft drinks which are free for hotel guests. The hotel should put a signage so hotel guests know it is free for them. We did not see any slots for people to insert money and were not sure if free or not. On our 2nd last day, we then found out that it was free for hotel guests. Either the hotel put a sign to say free for hotel guests, or the staff can let guests know when they check in.

Chose a IHG Hotel since I just hit my Gold status, but it seems the privileges are not any different from Silver. In fact, worse. Wasn't acknowledged and not offered the free drink until I asked about it. Offered late check out till 2pm, which is the same for Silver member. But otherwise, all is good.
Room is a good size. Open wardrobe concept which is great. Bed is firm, bathroom is a good size with a standing shower. Air-conditioning in the room is central controlled and during this time, it's set to heating mode only, no matter what you press on the controller.
Location is good, within few mins walking distance to the Airport Bus stop, a convenience store just opposite the hotel entrance. Bell Tower is nearby, also walking distance to metro Line 2. The hotel also has laundry facilities but for once, I didn't have to check it out this trip. They also have a robot to help deliver items to the room. Breakfast is also included and a decent spread including Iive noodles station.

Great location. Exit 3 from the underground. Walk 200 m and it’s down an alleyway. Great room (small but good), helpful staff and great location Breakfast (limited) included Free water available at all times. Close to bell tower and the Muslim quarter

For the 2 nights we where in Xian the hotel was a little below expectations. Checkin was smooth and quick, the room even though it looked like it had been recently renovated, for us was just ok. Mainly the cleanliness, stains on the wall near the toilet which looked to me to be urine. The bed was comfy, the shower hot the aircon can only be utilised on heating, with the spring here it was a little on the warm side in the room.
The location was great, right near the Bell Tower. If you exit the hotel turn left and walkthrough the gate, you will come across small street lined with restaurants. Approx 1 hour from the airport 120rmb including tolls.
We would probably choose a different hotel next time, but in the same area.

Holiday Inn Express Xi’an Bell Tower is well located near the Bell Tower, Drum Tower and Muslim Food Street area. There's a decent Starbucks at the Bell Tower to which it lovely to while away a few hours and watch people go by about their business. The hotel is clean, rooms sufficient and the breakfast adequately good. For the price, Holiday Inn Express Xi’an Bell Tower i a great place to stay.

Location was centrally located very near the Bell Tower and Muslim Quarter. Lots of shopping and easy access to the metro (didn’t use). Room was clean, bottles of water provided, nice size for family of 4 and had all the amenities except a mini fridge would have been nice. Breakfast is simple and very Chinese but with a few western items (toast, fried eggs, rashers, fruit). Staff doesn’t speak a lot of English so be patient and plan ahead. Google translate is horrible for Chinese so find another option before going (we are still trying to figure out a better option). We had some issues with the noise level coming from the nearby club but not sure if that was due to more parties for the Christmas/NY holidays? Otherwise I would recommend and would stay again.

Clean and comfortable, and very convenient location. I read some reviews saying it's noisy at night because of a bar nearby. When I arrived the staff told me they were putting me in a room on the top floor for this reason and I didn't hear any noise at all. The staff was very helpful despite my broken Chinese and the breakfast was decent.
