Stayed here recently for one night. We arrived by train from Beijing. The taxi driver spoke no English at all, I had google translated the address before and showed it him but he still could not understand! We found the hotel by luck at 11:30 at night. The gentleman on reception was very nice and his English was good. We asked if he could arrange to organise us a taxi and guide for the following day to take us to the Terracotta Warriors. Even though it was now midnight he organised it and it was amazing. Our room was clean and breakfast was okay. It’s a shame we couldn’t have stayed longer but we were heading to Shanghai!

This serves as clarification and addition to other reviews: 1. This is not your everyday Holiday Inn Express in the US(HIX for short), it's notches above. 2. Breakfast: starts at 6:30, mixture of east and west. My usual: salad (choose from 7 items and 3 dressings), cereals, made to order wonton and boiled leafy veggie(or noodle if preferred), and 2 small yogurts (1 plain and 1 fruity) Pastry, juices are also supplied. 3. Laundry: ask for usual laundry bag and list to fill or you may use the washer/dryer/irons in the 2nd floor. 1 token each for washer/dryer, each costing 20RMB, available at front desk. Free detergent was right next to machines. Washing takes 28min, door will not open until completion. Drying takes 45min and it can be interrupted and resumed. 2 ironing options: typical ironing board or stand-up steaming head with hose. 4. Sightseeing tour: there is a big poster in the lobby showing options and prices for private group, with pick-up and drop-off. Being able to speak Chinese, I booked day trips with 2 agents nearby(康輝，50m to the west, and C-trip, about 300m northwest at WenJing road) HIX is within the pick-up zone. I was picked up between 6:30 to 7:00. Drop-off site is near Bell Tower. Xi'an has a pooling system so it is likely that you might take 3 different buses, pick-up, tour, and returning. 5. Airport bus/taxi: 25RMB for bus, choose "建國飯店"(Jien Kuo Fan Dien) line, "賽高廣場"(Sai Kao Quang Chang) stop which is the first. Get off at the other side of the street. Returning stop is right next to HIX and ticket can be purchased on site. The 1st is 7:10am. As for taxi, HIX arranged a nice driver for me, one way was 130RMB 6. Subway: line 2(running north-south) stop is 100m away, down the stairs, then 100m to the ticketing area. Or you might use based floor of CityOn mall. Ticket is distance based, usually around 3-4RMB. It will be more convenient in the future with a new east-west line serving the same station, plus another 2 new lines. 7. Location: Yes, it does take extra 15min going downtown but I would trade distance/time with a better environment. I got to take my easy daily morning walks around the area, including the public sports parks. 8. ATM: Had problem paying with credit cards as most merchants seemed ill-quipped processing US credit cards. My card worked well at 中國建設銀行(China Construction Bank, with English instruction) but failed at many others. I was upgraded to a larger room but did see a standard room, almost the same except the room size. 9. In-room safe: the smartest ever

The hotel is located in a north and modern area of the city. The room is very large and modern for a superior room. You can see a great view from the room. It is located next to a shopping centre and 3 minutes from the nearest metro station. You can get around by metro to all major tourist attractions in Xian. The high speed train station is just 3 station away. The city centre is around 15min away. The breakfast is just average but the seating area is very limited during peak hour. You have to share table with other people. Overall, its a great new hotel.

Nice newer hotel and nice friendly staff. This was a good pick for our two night stay in Xi'an while visiting the Terracotta Warriors exhibit and Xi'an old town. This hotel is in the newer developed North side of Xian and a short trip to the train station. The Hotel is right next to a mall with many dining options and just across the street from a convenience store. English was spoken at the front desk and the staff was quick to use their phone translators with more complex answers. The rooms were very nice, much more updated from the other two Holiday Inn Expresses we stayed in. There is also an Airport shuttle that leaves from across the street that was just $3 USD...made it very cheap and easy. This location is not the closest to the old part of town, but it worked well for us.

+ We stayed there for one night, after arriving at Xi'an North railway station late at night, before moving on to another place. Very convenient for arrivals to that station. Check-in staff was very friendly. The room was by far the best we stayed in, while on our trip to China. Very comfortable beds, spacious and clean bathroom. Breakfast was included and had a decent variety.
- We needed a taxi the next morning, but it felt like the staff that ordered the taxi for us was not fully on top of it.

We checked in at about midnight..very helpful staff, well maintained hallways and rooms. The amenities were decent and the water temperature, beds and sheets were pretty food. The breakfastspread was mostly Chinese with little western choices. Liked their local favorites section. Building part of a shopping mall on one side Burwood not get a chance to go. The Terra Cota warriors attraction was like 50 minutes from here. Totally recommend!

This is a new property which is very serviceable as long as you don't want to stay right in the city heart of Xi'an. We chose this hotel because it is in the same broad area as Xi'an North Station, where the bullet trains go. There were some very helpful English-speaking front desk staff (not all are so skilled, but all were nice), and the facilities are all clean and all work well. Rooms don't have a fridge. The "breakfast included" is a buffet on the second floor - mainly Asian choices, but a good array. There is a "soup to order" lady who will make up your choice of soup ingredients. The property is next door to City On, a big, new shopping complex with a decent food court, and the Wanfujing Department Store, with a supermarket in the basement. Five minutes walk away is the Metro station, and it is seven stops (15-20 minutes) into the centre of town. Xi'an's Metro is a really good service - trains every two to three minutes, clean, efficient and smooth - and you'll meet some local people. We had two nights and a third day very late checkout here, and were very satisfied.

Good location. Next to shopping mall and subway. No gym but next to sports park where you can exercise together with locals. Breakfast spread is good too, with a wide spread. Room is good with toiletries and slippers available. Laundramat is nice and cosy. Enjoyed Christmas songs being played despite being in hot July!
Only downside is there is no hotel dropoff yet. My daily driver has to pick me up each morning at the basement carpark. The main doors didn't work sometimes. Either you need to scan your card to open or the rotation got stuck.
One guy smoked in the lobby and good to see staff asking him to go outside. Heard my colleague saying there were guests who smoked at the room level elevator lobby.

This hotel may seem rather basic on the surface but where its amenities fails to shine, its exemplary service is a gem to tourists. The service provided was excellent, this is a hotel where the staff clearly takes pride in their job. They were helpful, sincere, informative and were able to provide us with useful information and directions. We interacted with various service staff and found that the service rendered by all of them was consistent across the board.
We would like to give our sincerest thanks to the staff there who left us with a wonderful impression of the people of Xi’An.

Very good location, next to big shopping mall. Hotel staff are very nice and always helpful. Room was neat and clean, loved it because before this I went to another hotel directly from Airport and changed straight away in the morning to this hotel. Breakfast having lots of option, that's really loved it. Location wise, 01 hour to Terracotta warriors by Taxi and 35 minutes to Airport, what else you want.
