This is a lovely old-style hotel, which is quite old-fashioned but has a lot of character. It had a nice entrance with a fountain and the lobby was huge and attractive. There are lovely gardens with a lake and peacocks. The rooms are a reasonable size but quite old fashioned décor. There is adequate storage space with a large desk,... More

Reading some of the previous reviews, I think some people may have too high expectations for a hotel in this price range. I thought it was one of the nicest places I've ever stayed for the money. No, it's not brand new, but the garden courtyard with a lake and the attractive lobby create a lovely overall impression. The hotel... More

I visited after Chinese New Year, and the lobby was still decorated for the occasion. It's very nice, the staff is organized, and I had zero issues checking in. My first hotel was a nightmare, and Xi'an Garden Hotel was great. The grounds are beautiful, and the pagoda is a great resting place. They have swans and peacocks. The hotel... More

I was impressed with this hotel attention to beauty. The garden/pond in the center courtyard was lovely, I enjoy watching the swans, birds, peacocks, and so on. Very nice place to relax after busy day. The staff spoke some English and were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was huge, some weird choices but I was quite pleased with the... More

The Xi'an Garden Hotel has a very large modern lobby, very nice updated rooms and a beautiful small lake with a pagoda, and swans and peacocks which roam freely. The staff we encountered didn't speak English but we're very accommodating when we were able to make ourselves understood. The air conditioning didn't work when we were there during a hot... More

The hotel is beautiful. It has a small garden full of Chinese elements. The Lobby is elegant! The room is kind of small. Location is the key! It's right in the center of so many things you want to see. Very happy about choosing this hotel.

Hotel is beautiful, and is directly next to the old City Wall and the modern mall and restaurants. Restaurant in hotel was confusing, either we ordered wrong or the food was not up to the standards of other places we ate in China. This hotel is very local and falling quite old. We stayed two nights in Xi'an, the first night we went to a Spanish restaurant which was nearby (I love Spanish food) I don't remember the name but it was surprisingly good (not cheap either) and the day after we visited the terracota warriors (must see at least once) I would... A bit unkindly we nicknamed it the Long March Hotel; it's built around a garden so to get to rooms from reception seems a bit of a hike! Looks like a place geared up for business gatherings and receptions. The place is certainly in need of a facelift, but generally the room was OK. Only stated for a couple of nights... More

We had only one night here thankfully.
