This hotel was booked for us as part of our tour package. Initially we were concerned as reviews were quite negative, Yes, the rooms are a bit dated and have seen better times, but they were clean and comfortable. The beds are firm but we like them that way. Breakfast is local chinese fare with very limited western options. There... More

Big hotel, big room, good service and not bad for the location. Hotel also provide day tour and souvenir shop as well. Their travel agent provide good service as well. Some local stall available right outside the hotel. Easy to walk around. Breakfast is normal.

As we walked in we were impressed with the foyer. Until we settled in. Our beds were like sleeping on planks of wood. They were that bad that we ended up sharing a single bed the next night using the doona from one bed as cushioning on the other. Also the pool was not in use as well as the... More

We stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions. The first time we were given a suite which was excellent. It had a separate lounge and bedroom. Very comfortable and spacious. The second visit was almost as good but only a bedroom this time and considerably smaller. Bathrooms were both fine. The restaurant was comfortable and western style. Wifi only... More

This hotel was one of four we used as part of a tour group and without being brilliant it was clean and comfortable although it definitely needs a lot of love and attention. Lots of attention had been lavished on the reception area as it looked very glitzy giving a false impression of what was to come. I have to... More

I really cannot comprehend how this hotel got a five star rating. The girl at the desk had no English so we had to wait 20 minutes for somebody to deal with us. We had no reservation, but they told us 'No problem, we have available rooms, just wait a moment.' They left us sitting in the lobby waiting for... More

Key did not work, big fuss to get it changed. No apology. Dismal badly lit corridor. Room carpet filthy, not even an attempt to vacuum it. Bathroom tiles worn, dirty, and mouldy. Shower did not drain, toilet did not flush. Balcony door did not shut tightly, wind howled through it al night. Breakfast arrived late, food already cold on arrival,... More
