We spend two nights in wada hostel in Guilin and it was a great experience overall. The staff (Wada girls) are very helpful and friendly. Also the free dumplings night was funny and we learned how to cook a Chinese dumpling.

I absolutely loved my stay at Wada in Guilin. I was only there for one night, but I wish I had stayed longer. The atmosphere in the common area is perfect for a hostel, breakfast is delicious, and it's comfortable. I really highly recommend it. I liked it enough that I ended up staying at the Wada in Yangshuo because...

As i've come to find with hostels in China, the the staff are what make these places as they generally tend to be helpful, cheerful and always willing to chat day or night. The location of the hostel is far out of the central area of Guilin however, about a 30 min walk through some very busy and dangerous roads....

Got quite a lot of plus points to this place. location - close to the bus and train station, easy to get to as a no 10 bus goes across the road from it. food - like every hostel we've been in, it's a touch more expensive than the local cafe's but it's very good. if you can, do the...

Rooms are really old, and wold seriously need some renovation, especially the bathroom... But it is comfy, personal plugs, light, curtains... The restaurant is excellent, really good food, well prepared, especially all home made specialities. But the staff is really really nice. Extremely helpful, always smiling, speaking a very good english... Tours are okay, the longji terrace is nice, but...

There are hostels closer to city center, but Wada's location, tucked away off a tree-lined street and next door to a daily local outdoor market, was a quiet retreat from crazy busy Guilin. The Wada Girls were always helpful. The other guests were friendly. Their tours were well organized choices for those of us passing through for a few days....

I decided to travel to Guilin and Yangshou with my grandparents who booked their travel with a travel agent in Beijing. My grandparents stayed in a high priced hotel down the street but the hostel staff did not speak English. I was relieved to find the Wada hostel since the Wada Girls spoke very good English and asked all of...

We stayed in a 4 bed dorm and the room and bathroom was clean and satisfactory. I was impressed with the helpful reception staff, however there was a miscommunication with taxi pick up on our last morning to transfer to the airport. This mix up was handled very professionally, and my prepaid money was electronically refunded into my Chinese bank...

Close from the railway station (walking distance), friendly stuff (they give me directions for all the places to see, making my stay very easy and comfortable), good food, cold beer, good atmosphere to meet people's and make friends, nice place, cleaness, the bad thing was I couldn't stay longer. I'm feel at home.
