Plus points... two mins walking distance to the masjid from the ladies section gate 25.
Password protected wifi in lobby, although staff is hesisant to share, a little coaxing works
Minus points...60 % guest are indoneasian and Malaysian with little or no manners, hence be prepared for pushing n tug walking
6 lifts in lobby but it takes almost fifteen mins to reach ur floor or the cafeteria.
Hygiene level is very poor in the resturants n cafeterias. No room service, or laundry, and forget regular room cleans.
On the bright side, it is within 10 minutes walking distance to the Prophet's Mosque. If you are bent on buying stuff, the shops downstairs sell the same things any other shops near the mosque sell, but at a relatively cheaper price.
Don't miss the coffee corner at the lobby. You can have instant noodles, good coffee and desserts. The guy behind the counter is friendly. Be forewarned that the lobby area can get very congested with pilgrims arriving and departing, as well as those hooking up to the free wifi available. I leave the wifi throughput speed to your imagination. Just make sure you imagine at least 20 people hooking up to the same wifi.
Workers have no manners how to talk..
We stayed there for 7 days i.e 13 jan to 20th jan in room number 1312 but they were not ready for cleaning the room..In those 7 days they cleaned our room after many complains..if there is any word other than worst I must use that word..
Room was not good when we entered in room it was very dirty it was like no body has clean the room for new guests..
& bathroom was not good it was leaking..
We stayed before this year & that tym also room's washroom was leaking..but that tym we were on 4th floor from upper floor's washroom's dirt is leaking on our washroom's rooff yaaakkkhh..
When we complained for this their workers misbehave with us & this tym also they misbehhaved with us..
They didn't let us use lifts & many more things they did with us & many peoples..
I advise the visitors do not choose this hotel or u will regret for this..
We will never think to b stayed there..

We were put up on the 11th floor by A Hajj and Umra organizer from Kenya during our Hajj stay and I highly recommend you NEVER to ever stay here.
Here's a list of everything I saw
1) There was lizard droppings on the bathroom floor
2) The bathroom shower curtain is half fallen
3) The bathtub leaks and the whole floor was full of water and I had to grab a towel to lay it down so the water doesn't flood
4) The toilets were filthy ( I brought my own dettol wipes to clean the toilet
5) There's dirty linen and blankets on the bed ( we have brought our own sheets to use )
6) the house keeping guy was spraying air freshener around the corridors as there was a pungent smell in the area.
Everything about this hotel is dirty from the time you walk in through the reception
I highly advise anyone coming to Medina to AVOID this hotel.

This hotel is the choice of many travel agents running group tours to Madinah. Ostensibly because it is 50 metres or so from the Al-Masjid an-Nabawi. That is all this hotel has going for it.
Guests are packed in four to a room. The rooms are cramped. The carpets are old and musty. The furnishings are shabby, and in some cases broken. I had to buy an adapter so that we could plug in the mini fridge. The bathrooms are damp and mouldy. The hair dryer in our bathroom was burnt out.
The hotel provides one key for the four room guests to share. The lifts are small, and at busy times of the day, cannot cater to the number of guests in the hotel.
The restaurant is more like a mess hall, serving a standard meal to be eaten with plastic cutlery.
I suspect that the tour operators put their groups in the Mubarak Madinah hotel because it is cheap. Calling it a hotel is a stretch. A flop-house or a doss-house is a more accurate term.
The only good thing going for it is the pleasant man selling tea, coffee, soft drinks and pastries from a corner kiosk in the lobby.
Unless you need the cheapest accommodation available, stay somewhere else.
