The place is fantastic. The building is very old and elegant, our suite had a wonderful view and a big bathtub, which I immensely enjoyed. The service is very good. Breakfasts are delicious. The spa is small, but well-equipped with the essentials, very relaxing on the whole. My husband and I never go on holiday without the kids but we managed 4 days away just us, for the first time in forever, and so we thought we'd treat ourselves to somewhere special. This hotel really is special. I actually can't fault it. Good food, friendly bar to relax in at the end of the day, lovely rooms, GREAT bathroom, a spa which is free for guests before 1030, an excellent buffet breakfast and really, really helpful staff who booked everything we asked for from excellent restaurants to a Russian bany and taxis. Highly recommend.

The hotel staff was very helpful and professional. The room was very clean and pleasant. The food in the restaurant was good. The SPA had a good selection of treatments at very reasonable prices. They have a nice library with tea, coffe and snacks for some quiet reading and working. The location is good with Erivan Restaurant and the Soulmate Cat Cafe just a few meters away. The drivers are very good and at least Roman speaks excellent English and is a very good tour guide with good knowledge of St Petersburg and surroundings..

When checking in I specifically asked for a quiet room. After 2 nights of the person upstairs stamping around early in the morning I asked at reception whether they could ask them to please try to be quieter. I was asked if it would be better to move! This would take hours as we had unpacked and settled in. I was amazed that they thought we should be put out so much rather than just asking someone to try not to stamp around so much. The cleaners also did not seem to change glasses and mugs - we found both dirty the day after.

Sitting area and bathroom well stocked in all respects. Mini-bar prices very reasonable. Toiletries plentiful and of high quality. Nice to be able to open windows to move the air around. Very quiet. Concierge service solid. Excellent location. Five minute walk to Nevsky Prospekt. Second time at hotel. Only place I stay in St. Petersburg. Utilized laundry service. Well done at reasonable price; timely. Breakfasts wonderful. Nice setting too.

Beautiful hotel in a charming historic building. Our welcome was second to none. Unfortunately we had to leave early but they prepared and packed breakfast and coffee was ready at 4am! Room was was very nice, maybe a little too warm but otherwise nice, clean and pleasant. Bed was comfortable.

A charming location in a historic building in the beautiful St. Petersburg, overlooking the Fontanka river... The furnishings, cleanliness and care of the rooms, the strategic location of the structure together with the great courtesy and professionalism of the staff make it an unmissable destination for a comfortable and refined stay ... Despite having booked a superior we were kindly granted the executive suite, a very welcome gift for my fiftieth birthday ... really very kind! Moreover the SPA is very pleasant with a rich offer of treatment and massage rituals. What else to say? We can't wait to go back!

We stayed four nights and loved our stay. We upgraded our room as were offered a good deal. The room was beautiful, very comfortable, warm and cosy with a lovely view over the river. The bathroom was excellent with underfloor heating night and day. Breakfast is eaten in the adjacent restaurant and was very good with plentiful choice. We also used the restaurant on the evening - good choice of Asian food. The hotel staff - reception and door - were so very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Alina who sorted taxis etc out for us. She spoke excellent English and nothing was too much trouble - thank you. Zodor on the door also gave us helpful information. Beautiful location alongside the river/canal. Comfortable walk to the Nevsky Prospect and all attractions. The hotel was very quiet at night and toasty warm. The staff were welcoming, the room was luxurious, the breakfasts were amazing. As a guest you are able to use the Spa and Sauna area for free in the mornings before 10am, which was well worth doing- felt so relaxed after and then followed this with a fabulous breakfast. I enjoyed every aspect of this hotel and hope I can stay there again. It is in a very good location, just opposite a very picturesque bridge.
