We decided to go to Saint Petersburg from Finland with my wife so she could visit her family. Naturally, we decided to stay at a Finnish Hotel which is part of the S group since we are members of the S group. At the hotel the staff handled matters repeatedly in an unprofessional manner. For instance, the room service once left us without toilet paper and we had to request toilet paper twice as well as room cleaning since the room was left without cleaning. We used room service several times and there were several problems connected to it. Once they brought us the food and came with a broken card reader. The person blamed us for not knowing our bank cards password. Only after some discussion and several attempts did they go to change the card reader. By that moment the food was cold. When we ordered food from the hotel they never brought two tissues alongside the food despite ordering food to two people. Are two adults to share the same napkin while eating? We also had some stomach ailments from the hotel food. Therefore, we started ordering food elsewhere and the stomach ailments disappeared at once. We did not want to eat at restaurants due to the pandemic. From the delivery services we received tissues too. The staff did either not wear facial masks or then they only wore it over the mouth. Did not really feel like they took the pandemic situation seriously. Other guests at the hotel could enter the elevator without a mask and therefore possibly expose people to COVID-19. These are serious flaws since the hotel is a home away from home when you are travelling. Therefore, it is suppose to be a safe place. There were no sanitisers at the hotel breakfast buffet. Therefore, we decided to use our own sanitiser but forgot it on the table. When we asked the staff about our sanitiser the next day nobody knew, unsurprisingly, of its whereabouts. Our stay at the hotel was crowned by a nightly intruder on our final night. We were woken up at 00:05 am by someone who opened the door of our hotel room. We screamed. Door went closed. Whoever it was, was to get in due to door chain we had installed. They did not remain to apologise. We called the reception. Reception was unsurprised of the incident and explained it was someone from the staff who thought the room was empty. They offered us a late check out. Hotel manager had not been reported of the incident since we told her of it the next morning when we checked out.…
I comed to the hotel.Reception totally NOT helpful.Rooms is ok.Sauna not works all the day.Only evening time 20-23 h. Hotel Is old.Maximum 2 stars.Personal things you cannot keep at the lobby or nearby restaraunt if you want toilet.Stuff tell me that no responsibility no camera no safety.Not recomend.Only location is good.Socos hotels in Funland are very different.
Super choice of a hotel for my first trip to St. P. Fantastic service from the entire hotel staff. I relied heavily on the expertise and professionalism of the concierge team in these covid times. The motifs of the hotel and savvy of the staff are reflective of St. P. so I feel I was able to get a great introduction to a beautiful great city and leave feeling a lot better informed than when I arrived. I am hoping to having a return trip to this fine and very interesting hotel in the future so I can enjoy another superbly crafted meal in their restaurant and get better acquainted with St. P. I have stayed in the Metropol (Moscow), the Premier Palace (Kiev) and the Regent Berlin (Berlin), and I rate this hotel right up there with them.
It was the most outrageous communication experience. I accidentally booked the room twice and realized my mistake straight away. I called, I wrote numerous letters right after but the management decided to charge me twice even though I contacted them minutes after. It was a very simple problem to resolve but the management decided to act in the most unpleasant way possible. Also when I checked in the receptionist told me there was only one booking in the system and I was temporarily relived. Not for long! After a while they still try to charge me twice. Not recommended.
The bed in this hotel is so comfortable. It was an amazing place to stay and the staff was friendly and approachable which made my two week stay amazing. They were currently undergoing some maintenance which did not allow me to utilise their gym and spa facilities however I was able to use their other hotel which was known for their saunas and snow room!
