There is nothing special I could say about this hotel. The rooms were OK, with communist vibes as I expected. The room and the bathroom were clean, beds comfortable. Good thing we speak some Russian, because most of the staff couldn't speak English, but one of the front desk people- Cергей was very helpful when we had problems with our...

I was stayed at this hotel during my short business trip to Moscow. After about 3 hrs flight and 1 hr trip from airport, I have welcomed by bad smell and reception staff who does not knows English. Room was small and dirty. Mini bar was empty and no water in room. Only positive think is; it's locates on walking...

The hotel is a old SOVIET rooms and system inside looks the same. I liked the room comfortable and clean. It was too HOT and there was no conditioner or ventilation to cool it . We leaved the door and window open to make it cooler. there are 6 buildings and for beginners difficult to find, no one shows you...

Good value, practical rooms, helpful staff. Only 500m away from next metro station and in walking distance to the All-Russian Exhibition Centre. Only the breakfast was awful. There was only instant coffee, no butter, 1 kind of cheese, 1 kind of sausage. On my last day the cheese tasted mouldy. The Wifi is not secured and slow at times.

Big property -Lots of walking. I stayed here for 6 days it was May and there was no hot water, the govt provides hot water here, that was told by the reception. The old lady (receptionist) was friendly only if u would talk in Russian. The metro station is about 7 mins walk and its good as u will enjoy...

I stayed in this hotel during the World Hockey Championship April - May of 2007. Old hotel near the metro stop Botanicheskiy sad. The hotel with a number of buildings. The rooms were old, small, Non-renovated. Worn furniture, old plumbing. Rooms had a hole in the wall ... At breakfast one morning the bread had mold. Everywhere felt a breath...

This hotel needs a major renovation. The bed is saggy and very uncomfortable, room is worn out and carpet has many stains. I stayed here in August not realizing they do not have A/C! The room was like sauna! The lady at the front desk was unfriendly and didn't know how to smile. Also, be aware of aggressive hookers who...

Just across the Botanechesky Sad, the hotel is composed of several buildings. And the hotel staff is very accommodating and they speak English. I didn't experience any rudeness and they were all friendly to me. The best part was the breakfast, specially the unlimited yoghurt, shakes and fruit juices. Rooms are well kept, I love the old European styled bathrooms.

A cheap and cheerful hotel. Don't expect luxuries and best if you have a smattering of Russian because only some of the staff speak (generally limited) English. Advantages: historic interest (next door to old Comintern HQ, the hotel complex was built for the party - been refurbished since!), 10 minute walk (maybe less) to Metro, then 20 min to centre...

We stayed in a standard double room. The room was simply furnished with quite modern beech wood furnishings, white sheets and a small flat screen tv. The room and bathroom were very clean. Was always warm and cosy. Some staff spoke English and some didn't but they were all helpful either way. Papadino restaurant in separate building, part of the...
