The good: Awesome idea - conversion of old apartments into modern suites. The room is large. Our complaints were answered promptly. Close to a metro station. The bad: Hospitality in this hospitality business is lacking. The sheets and towels had a few stains on them. The bathroom is glass enclosed and not sealed - no sound isolation at all, you...

I stayed in the French studio and it was great! The people here are so helpful from booking to helping me get my Russian visa to getting transport from airport to hotel. The place is by the Metro and 2 stops to get to the Red Square. There is also Ded Pikhto and Taras Bulba (restaurants that I recommend for...

heard a lot about appartments being better than hotels. Another thing actual for business trips to Moscow - try to live walking distance form the place you plan to visit. MamaRo was looking as good choice, and it was indeed. Funny place full of fresh design ideas, cozy and spacious studio 2 minutes from subway station. Could be maintaineв more...

I appreciated my 3 nights in the stone studio. The decoration is very nice and the studio is large with a sitting corner and a kitchen corner. There were all the dishes to prepare a breakfast (but don't forget your tea bags...). I appreciated that the staff waited for my arrival late in the evening while the reception is supposed...

We stayed at Aviator studio. The place has a great location: quiet street in historic center, close to metro and oodles of eateries and boulevard ring. Good service, very clean, attentive and accommodating staff. Very secure, entry by magnetic card only. The room was designed by someone with crazy ideas and this person was obviously given a free reign, very...

I chose those apartments because of its central location. Indeed, the location is good, but this is the only positive thing about this place. First of all, this place is nothing like it looks on the photos. Extremely tiny studios with scratched old furniture, lots of dust all over the place and hair in the shower. The walls are not...

Great value apartment very close (50m) from the Metro and walking distance (15 mins or so) to Red Square. A little difficult to find first time round as we'd just arrived in Moscow - suggest some improvements to directions would be helpful. The gate entrance is actually just past Macdonalds which is a good landmark. We had the smallest apartment...

Apartments located in the very center of Moscow, very close to Metro station and to all the sights. Nice and clean, with a little kitchenette (teapot, cooker, fridge, etc) We stayed in a Stone Studio for 2 nights. The interior is cool and unusual, with a lot of stone and glass details. Studio equipped with iPad and two film projectors,...

Perfect space for more people. Small kitchen, great electronics if you want to watch something or simply listen to the music. Nice staff. Toilet is a little bit less separated from the room as I expected. Otherwise it was great. I look forward to come back if I would visit Moscow once more.

Stayed here in September last year and then returned in January. Great location, a short ride from the Kremlin. The staff were friendly, kind and really helpful. Our apartment was very clean, modern and made our stay in Moscow great fun. What was most impressive was the value for money, a great apartment for less than one of Moscow's more...

Staying in Patriarch Ponds

Neighbourhood Profile
Patriarch Ponds
When you need to hide from the city’s noise and traffic but don’t want to stroll too far, Patriarch Ponds is the place to be. Calm water, friendly swans and ducks with beautiful early 20th century architecture in the background make this neighborhood a place you’ll never want to leave. Besides stylish bars and restaurants scattered in the streets around the pond, you’ll be able to enjoy museum life from modern art to a former private apartment of Mikhail Bulgakov. As most of the businesses are open late, stop for a cocktail and then stroll by the pond to rent a boat and row yourself to the middle of the “bowl” as the locals call it.
