Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This hotel do not deserve the two stars. The worst place I have ever been.Small smelly room, with old furniture, the bathroom was not clean at all, I could not shower because the water was yellow. For the price I paid I was dissapointed. Do not recomend, not only for one night.

The only good things about the hotel were that it's near the train station and the staff was kind. Other than these... No lift. Dated building - everything were too old in a way that made me think we where living back to the soviet communist era. Ridiculous hotel entrance with stinky stairs. The carpet on the stairs had a disgusting smell when it was wet. The bed mattress was awful - had a backache for the rest of the week. Our tiny room had terrible sound proofing. We were hearing every announcement made from the adjacent bus station as our room 306 was facing to it. Frankly I thought I was back to army, but this time even worse. No bin in the room. The night light above me had an exposed wired. On the whole, I am very pissed off that we paid 150 euro per night for this mess. Having checked the prices today, they where 6 or 7 times less. They ripped us off because of the festival's popularity. Honestly, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone! Sorry guys, its 2019!

It is the first time when I write a review, I don't like that but it's impossible for me to not doing this. The room is like a garbage can, the carpet, walls, the smell, the bathroom, beds, everything is filthy. For 50 euros by night is impossible, if I knew I slept in the car.

This no frills hotel is good value. However, with high humidity and summer temperatures often comfortably in the late 20s, it is a major drawback to have no air conditioning in the bedrooms. My en suite room had plentiful hot water and clean towels. The wifi is reliable and the staff are friendly.

Fortunately we only stayed there for a night - we rented 4 rooms there, after the reservation we made weeks ahead was canceled by the owner with one night in advance. Each room had 2 single beds and individual bathroom bor our also had a terrible smell, so we asked for another one, which we received - a smaller but stink free room. The towels and sheets where clean but their white was a grey-white, the remote control we received from the receptionist didn't work, the bathroom had broken shower and everytime you flush the toilet a terrible stink was covering the place. The prices were a bit high for wat they provide, so we won't recommend to others.

The lovely woman on reception could not have been more helpful. Good wifi. Take bus 31 to the city centre or take a cab, very cheap. As the crow flies this hotel is close to the station. In reality it is up and over the rail lines. You wouldn't want to walk it with a big bag. Not so clean. I would not have walked on the floor in socks. Quite grubby bathroom. I was not that impressed with this fairly dirty and unkempt city. Best to find another place for a stopover if heading to the painted monasteries.

Hotel itself is okay, bit of a college feeling, but clean. Liked the view from the bathroom to the mountains (not counting the nearby construction site). The noise from the road is almost unbearable, since the hotel is situated by a road and a bus-station, and the windows are not soundproof. The coffee and breakfast was great ! Overall if you are on budget it's okay, but expect the noise - not for lightsleepers.

Fortunatelly , my stay was very short, one night before to take a plane for Palma de Mallorca. But if you like to feel retro this is a perfect communist-era hotel. This hotel is situated far from the centre, it is necessary to take a bus for three station.Nothing interesting in the area, just a small market. It is difficult to sleep , in front of the hotel is a highway with an enormous traffic so the top floor will be quieter. No lift. The rooms were not clean. The walls looked repulsive. The whole hotel itself looked outdated. My room, 204 very small and dirty with a curious smell had an old furniture. The walls were dirty and the carpets too.Dusty bathroom, cheap toilet paper , grey towels. The only good thing about my stay was the attitude of a young receptionist .I cannot understand for what this dirty hotel got two stars.

Located just up the railroads, the hotel can be quite noisy, and has a somewhat creepy feeling to it. That being said, the rooms are overall clean, as well as the shower. If you're not a smoker make sure to mention it, otherwise the bed and pillow will smell like cigarettes too.

At €20 a night it's never going to be the 'Hilton' of Cluj, but for early or late night rail connections you couldn't go too far wrong. Despite the 'horror hotel' corridors and the sleepy welcome at the front desk, the hotel is clean and comfortable enough, but quite basic. Bathrooms are like that too, but with good water pressure and temperature in the shower. It might also be worth watching out for some dodgy electrical fittings - in particular don't put your hand behind the head of the bed without checking what's there... Duvets are a little on the small side, but if there are two you it is always possible to snuggle up for warmth. In short this is no 'boutique hotel', but for one night to put your head, it'll do just fine.
