Inns of Aurora Spa is a lovely destination. The spa features hydrotherapy, sauna, steam room, locker rooms with showers and bathrobes, and a lovely cafe and sanctuary. Arrive early and spend the day. Food at the cafe was included with the pedicure service as a summer special.

We stayed at the E.B. Morgan House for our anniversary. The house and grounds are very impressive and impeccably maintained. We were in room 7 which had a lake view, floral theme and a modern bathroom with a very big shower. Their staff is so focused on making your stay perfect that you feel welcome to make yourself feel comfortable. Sitting on the covered back porch of the house and looking at the lake was our favorite part.
We ate at the only restaurant in Aurora called 1833 and dinner was excellent and upscale but the best dining experience we had was at a new restaurant called Salt of the Earth. Less than 10 minutes away and a hidden gem with food that rivals Napa Valley and NYC. They have modern cuisine inspired by local farm-to-table ingredients. The dinner was phenomenal and the chef and his staff were personable and fun! There were a handful of wineries close by but just realize that you have to drive a bit to find things to do and more restaurants, although with restaurants like Salt of the Earth opening, you can see there's more to do if you drive out of Aurora.

After months of isolation, we decided to get away for a long weekend, and we are so happy we decided to stay at The Inns of Aurora. We arrived at Rowland House late Thursday afternoon after visiting 6 wineries from Keuka to Cayuga. The wineries were not open for tastings but we ordered bottles ahead and were able to pick them up.
The check in process was easy and our inn keeper, Anna, made us feel at home immediately. I quickly noticed how tastefully the house was decorated with beautiful designed classic furniture and what looked like original artwork. We stayed in room 4, which over looked Cayuga Lake. Our suite was well appointed by our standards. The quality of the room was on par with a room at a Loews or Fairmount property. We had requested yoga mats, playing cards and a specific board game be placed in our room prior to arrival. As requested the items were there!
We also booked a private fishing experience with Matt, the resident outdoorsman at the Inn. We learned so much about the Finger Lakes and how to fish from Matt. For two people who live in a city we weren’t exactly sure if we would enjoy fishing, but we certainly did because of the experience Matt provided us.
Our inn keeper, Anna, also set us up with two Trek mountain bikes for our entire stay. We only took them for a ride on Friday morning but wished we had made more time.
The highlight of our stay was the private dinner in the library of Rowland House overlooking the water. The executive Chef for the property, Eric, prepared us an amazing 4 course dinner.
We ended each night of our stay by enjoying a bottle of Finger Lakes bubbly (sparkling wine) on the rooftop patio of the boathouse while watching the sunset. It was very romantic and relaxing.
This is a great place to visit if you’re looking for luxury accommodations in an unplugged environment. Aurora is a beautiful little village with the charm of a bygone time in American history.

This was our second visit to The Aurora Inn after staying here back in 2018. This time, along with my wife and son (11 yrs old), we invited my parents and my nephew (12 yrs old) to join us. Since we enjoyed or previous stay at the Wallcourt Hall, we decided to book 2 rooms there again this time. The Inn recently opened an "adults only" inn across the street from Wallcourt named Zabriskie House. We thought nothing of having our young son stay with us in a King bed room since we did that exact same thing back in 2018 so naturally we were surprised at check-in when we were told it was against their policy and that we needed to book a second room. Who separates a set of parents from their child? And this wasn't the new "adults only" inn so essentially both locales were not "family friendly". Their solution was for us to spend another $550 to book another room, however NOT in the Wallcourt location which was sold out but rather across the street at Zabriskie. Being that it was for adults only, I sent my parents there and then my wife and I split so that one parent could be in a room with each child. The logistics of dividing up luggage, having one set of family members in another location and not spending the evening with a spouse and child was frustrating. While the inn charged us the Wallcourt rate for the normally more expensive Zabriskie rate for the extra room, it was still an added cost to our vacation budget that was unexpected. That being said, the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Once there, the inn keepers do a good job of making you feel as comfortable as possible even during this COVID age with restrictions. Return trip in the future? TBD

Responded 30 July 2020
Dear rramirez162020, Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback with us regarding your recent stay. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the beauty of our resort and grounds, but we understand that your guestroom accommodations did not align with your expectations at booking. Please know that we do strive to create an exceptional guest experience, and we would like to learn more about your stay so that we can evaluate our policies and procedures as we continue to grow and improve. In order to safely navigate and enjoy our Wallcourt Hall guestrooms, we do not allow more than two guests to occupy a room with one bed. Additionally, we require that guests accurately disclose the number of adult and child occupants at the time of booking both online and over the phone to guarantee the most appropriate room type prior to arrival. We understand that planning a family vacation is complex, and finding the most comfortable accommodations to fit your needs is a priority. We always recommend calling or emailing our Reservations Team while planning your visit. Our team is acutely familiar with each of our unique guestrooms and can recommend the most appropriate room combination in advance of your arrival so that you can enjoy a seamless experience from check-in to check-out. We thank you for your feedback, and hope to welcome you back to Aurora for your next vacation!

This is the second year we’ve stayed with a group of friends in one of several of the Aurora inns. This one was Rowland house. A 10 room inn on the east side of Cayuga Lake. It’s close to home but feels like a world away. Very quaint, quiet, relaxing and scenic. We’ve had the village side rooms but they’re just as pleasant as they’re set far back from the road. We enjoyed the lake view while socializing with our friends who were also staying there that night. It’s a couple minutes walk from the Aurora and restaurant or the Fargo in across the street. And staying there is very reasonable with the winter white sale which they offer every December to be able to purchase discounted rates to use the following year.

It is amazing here. We absolutely loved the Inn, the beautiful updated homes with the individual fabulous decor. It was during Covid times and I felt very safe. The facilities were clean. Everyone was wearing masks and there was plentiful hand sanitizer available. Gerri, one of the innkeepers, was phenomenal. She was so attentive and available. This is a charming place to relax and enjoy Cayuga Lake and the beautiful restoration of the mansions.

..I didnt see anyone wiping down the public spaces (Adirondack chairs, door handles, other public spaces) Normally in such a high scale Inn the cleaning is done when guests aren't present, but considering we are in a pandemic I need to see staff cleaning- its reassuring. There was a dedicated staff person at the Fargo wiping tables and chairs and I found it comforting.

It doesn't get better than the experience at the Inns of Aurora. We typically stay at nice hotels, because we've had some pretty bad luck at B&B's in the past. That luck turned around with our stay at the Zabriskie House. Our room was perfect - looked just like the online listing. The property was completed recently, and the space felt very fresh and new. Super clean, with beautiful bedding - it was like sleeping in a cloud. Heated floors in the bathrooms were a great surprise. Every afternoon we were met by our Innkeeper with a glass of local wine and every morning there were fresh granola bars, local yogurt and fruit to go along with coffee and tea. Everywhere we went at the Inns, people were so warm and welcoming. We had a loose plan for the weekend, but in talking to people, we got some great ideas for where to go and what to do. Highlights: yoga at the schoolhouse, wine tastings at Quarry Ridge and Bright Leaf, and a hike at Fillmore Glen State Park, about 30 minutes away. Meals at both the 1833 Kitchen and the Fargo Grill were delicious - go for the burgers at Fargo. You won't be disappointed. We have traveled a lot, and this is one of the most memorable experiences we've been on, because of how perfect everything was.

Aurora Inn is a collection of mansions. Choose a room in the EB Morgan Mansion (there are seven) and a room with a lake view. It’s more expensive, but worth it. It’s an elegant mansion, built in 1858 and renovated in 2005.
Tip: Room 7 is modern and has a lake view. We loved it.
The Inn and and its 1833 Kitchen and Bar complement each other well. Food for evening dinner at 1833 was among the best in a week in the Finger Lakes.
Most of the inns have innkeepers; we had three different ones at Morgan over 4 days and 3 nights and all were helpful, interested, engaging without being to assuming.
Tip: Plan for the glass of wine and cheese and crackers between 5-6pm each day.
Tip: Plan to spend time on the back porch, reading, listening to music or a podcast or playing a game or cards. The mansion begs you to slow down and take it slower than you normally do.
The bathroom has two Kolher showerheads and strong water pressure. That was a nice surprise in an older building but is part of the renovations.
Someone wrote to bring your own pillows. I can understand that; the pillows are not firm so that’s a good suggestion.
I’d love to return to the Aurora Inn! 🏨

Beautiful place, but nothing else around. Not sure if we hit the inns on a off weekend or not but I was hoping for better. We arrived late Friday night, 7:30ish and by the time we checked in and moved our bags we called Fargo which is right across the street to see what time they were open until and was told they close in 1 minute (8:00pm). I then called the front desk to see where we could get something to eat since we just drove 3.5 hours to get there and was told "no-where" . So we were on our own to find something to eat. We ended up having to drive 30 minutes away to eat. There is nothing else nearby. In the mornings we wanted to eat breakfast in the room so we called the 1833 restaurant and order. They did not offer room service so if we wanted to eat in our room we had to carry the plates and drinks up to our room. I think a place of this scale and size should certainly offer room service, especially with the limited dinning options in the area. They were also running a book 2 nights get a third free offer which I found out after I booked looking at the inns facebook page. We meet all the requirements listed on the post but was never told or offered this deal, and when I sent a message on Facebook questioning it I never heard anything back. Not sure if this is a valid offer or not??? Still have not heard anything back on it.

Hi, you cannot walk to the spa.. you must drive because it is off property , however you can walk to everything else.. main inn, restaurants.. etc.. only about a 1 minute walk.
The drive from the Aurora Inn to Watkins Glen park is roughly 1hr15mins.
Not sure about fireplaces. There was no fireplace in our suite. And while we were there certainly no tea serving hour. This could be due to Covid so uncertain whether it existed pre-Covid.
