If your going to Davao City and looking for a place to stay like a home , wonderful services and delicious food , i recommend Villa Viva Belgica.
The price is cheap with a first class services.
For the location it is within the City. Shopping malls and restaurants are easy accessable.
It's Gerard and rose who pick us in the Airport. If you want to get around Davao, they can provide you a transportation at reasonable price with a good and nice driver.
You can also ask for a taxi.
My special thank you to Gerard and Rose as well as there staff who really took care of us.

We already tried all the rooms and my favorite are the blue room and the new japanese room with own small balcony.

Clean and nice accomodation. Not expensive. Not a lot of noise. Very friendly staff and great host. Gerard and Rose are very accomodating and can even tour you around the city if you wish. Good food and affordable.

The place is accesible to public transport, easy to use the jeepneys going downtown or the taxi. A bit of walk to the highway to ride the jeepneys while for the taxi, you can just call using their landline. Near to the shopping center (SM Mall and NCCC Mall) and Matina town square (mts) for night out. Not far from Shrine Hills for a great view at night or if you plan for an early morning jog. We will be back and will definitely recommend to friends.

Honestly, words cannot describe the wonderful stay we had at Villa Viva Belgica!!! The hosts, Gerard and Rose graciously attended to our every need. The room was clean with air-conditioning, hot shower, WiFi, TV and a well stocked refrigerator. The food was superb! Cuisine ranges from European to American to Filipino. The beef, pork, chicken and seafood was of excellent quality. And every item on the menu was value priced. The garden area has a waterfall and a pond. Be sure to say hello to their resident fishes. Outside you will find many chairs, tables and a glider swing where you can sit, enjoy a beverage and engage in conversation with other guests. We met so many great people during our stay. Gerard will arrange a tour for you and advise you as to the best places to visit. Need a ride into town? The staff will call a taxi for you. All taxi drivers use the meter and are licensed. All in all, our stay was relaxing and very enjoyable. You would do well to stay at Viva Villa Belgica!!!

When I was introduced by a friend to Villa Viva Belgica and the owner Gerard I was also introduced to the most pleasant stay I ever have had in Davao City as a visitor. I moved over from Marco Polo Hotel on a visit in 2013 and have stayed in this charming and quiet guest house with the beautiful garden for more than half a year all together. Central, safe, quiet, personal, good food, good service and very reasonable priced. Excellent!

It was our second stay at Villa Viva Belgica and we were happy to come back. The room was absolutely fine, tastefully decorated and spotless clean. The location is in a quite area but close to shopping and other activities. The owners take very good care of their guests and this is shown in the quality of food as well, excellent quality for a fair price. Highly recommended

I already knew the place but never stayed there. But now I'm for sure. I'ts an oasis in metro Davao. No typical Philippine hotel with his strict rules. They don't have a restaurant but if you want to have breakfast at 10, they will get it for you. Same as a drink at night. Thank you Gerard and Rose and staff for everything, at felt for me like coming home again. See you next year !! Jos en Joanna.

I stayed for a few nights while sightseeing in Davao and surrounding areas. I just want to say that it had exactly what I wanted in terms of the feeling of being in a home or relaxed setting as distinct from a normal hotel. The food was great, the staff were friendly and helpful, the place was clean and I enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. I would certainly stay here again.

The place looks like you're at the province or away from the city, because the nature-friendly and peaceful environment gave a restful and calm ambiance. It is also near the mall and the center of the city. The services just needs a slight improvement because our dvd player in our room is not working, and the staff forgot to set-up the towels. But overall, safisfied.

Villa Viva Belgica is a new place in Davao and we thought we'd try it as it's in a quiet and convenient location for downtown and half the price of the Park Inn by Radisson we normally use if we are flying from Davao. What a nice surprise! The staff and hosts could not be more helpful (another guest requested a taxi and the owner was going out so just gave her a lift for free), the food was great and I doubt you could find a more peaceful quiet place in the city. The house itself is a lovely big old place in a gated subdivision, easily found off Ma-a Road which short-cuts from the city By-pass to the downtown area. The owner has lived in Davao for many years and so can offer local advice in a number of languages. The only downside was the wifi internet connection speed which was very slow, but this is typical in Philippines. My wife and I use local SIM cards for internet in any case. All other facilities are as advertised. Even some of the upmarket hotels in Philippines don't bother to stock the minibar, so I was particularly pleased to find a cold beer there when I arrived!
the 'star' buttons don't seem to work for this review but I'd give it a 5! *****
