The room was nice and quite good but the staffs specially the attendant on my last night was disrespectful. They should be please in delivering their questions, they are asking you and accusing you at the same time but at first they didnt explain the rules or policy of the hotel.

There are several things going for and against this hotel.

The place is about one year old and some repainting was going on at the lobby at the time I checked in. Actually, the front desk almost mishandled my booking saying there was no vacancy. The person who had reserved for me had to mention the name of the front desk person and only then did the reservation and booking confirmed.

Only three floors in this hotel so expect no elevator. The flight of stairs is a bit tedious to climb if you're tired from your travel.

The room door uses a key card that is not inserted but tapped and it opens. There is a card slot on the wall for power but power is available for light and TV even without it. The card slot powers the air conditioning. The room is OK. The bed and furniture looks basic. The air conditioning is a relatively quiet Carrier window type air conditioner that can get cold at night. The blanket is supplied is not a thin sheet but it's no comforter or wool material.

The TV is a 32-inch LG LED with a nice lineup of cable channels. Wi-Fi is free but the connectivity is in and out at best. There is an electronic safe in the room which could fit cash, jewelry, phones and valuables. There is a table lamp too. It wasn't working. There is no phone. So I had to go down and ask for a replacement. When I returned to the room on the third floor, the housekeeping guy was waiting for me. He has a VHF radio. He quickly replaced the lamp and tested it was working.

The room has no closet but has hooks and foldable rack attached to the wall. The room is clean and still feels new. But expect no view from the rooms either.

The bathroom is OK. Water pressure is adequate with a functional water heater. The same kind of rack and hooks in the room is also seen in the bathroom.

34 rooms on the third floor. All single rooms. 28 rooms on the second floor, all twin-sharing. P700 a night for single rooms. P900 for twin sharing rooms. However, the biggest letdown is the absence of a phone in the rooms. I mentioned this to the front desk. Their response is there will be phones in the rooms soon.

The rooms are not sound-proof. You can occasionally hear footsteps dragging their feet on the staircases and some conversations on the halls. Other than that, the other guests keep to themselves and generally quiet. The halls have CCTV.

The ground floor has a filter hot and cold water dispenser. You have to have your own water bottle or jug. Necessary convenience so you don't need to get out of the room often.

Only breakfast is served at the hotel but you have to sign up for it the night before. Breakfast is P100. I didn't try it at all.

The hotel has massage service in rooms available for P300. Although there are two more spas beside the hotel.

The conveniences begin where a Robinsons Supermarket and Mercury Drug located in front of the hotel. A clothing shop is also in the vicinity of Robinsons and Mercury. Restaurants like Yellow Fin and Boiling Crab are nearby. The nearest mall is the SM Lanang Premier less than a kilometer away. The Ayala Abreeza is on the other direction about 2.5 kilometers away or so.

This place is a good value hotel at a low affordable price and only for you to watch TV or sleep at night. Massage is optional. Not a bad place but nothing fantastic either. I am attaching photos for your reference

Orchard Hotel Davao looks like a good option….. on paper. We stayed 3 days and from they 1 they were already making excuses. they said they couldn’t follow our bookin because they are fully booked. Next day we requested that they follow our booking of having 2 rooms in close proximity, again same excuse even if there were a lot of vacant rooms being cleaned. Day 3 , aircon goes out at 2 am. We get more excuses room next to us and below have perfectly working units as can be heard through the window. We asked for a fan because we saw them carrying a fan to another customers room, more excuses. Their suggestion open the window, that would have been ok, if the aircon units of other rooms were not blowing hot air where the window is located. This hotel has been a nightmare from the start.

First i just want to share my experience in this hotel and inform others about their non smoking policy. Upon checking in you will be require to sign their waiver that they have a penalty for smoking in the building etc. Im very aware of that since davao is very strict about that policy. So when the time im about to check out, i went to the lobby and said that they will check the room first. I was surprised when they informed me that the room smells cigarette smoke and i have to pay 2,000pesos. They accused me of smoking inside the room with out any proof and their basis was by the smell of room. Take note im very considerate not to complain even their room smells terrible because my purpose was to sleep over night only (less than 8hours) i have to ask them to change the bedsheets, pillowcase and blanket because it seems that they didnt change it.. back to the policy, they said they have the right to do it since i have signed the waiver. My point is, its easily for them to do it to anybody, to any guest anytime they wanted to.. staffs and maintenance are rude and disrepectful. No proper customer service training. Manager/owner was even rude too. (Jj Tan,that's the name given to me by the receptionist because the manager/owner dont want to give his name when we talked.) They said that if i will not pay, they will call a police. Tip: let them call a police. Because in the end they will reduce the penalty. If you have all the time and not in a hurry, dont pay at all (if you know you did'nt do anything wrong) make your stand and it's ok if you will all go to the police station because chances are penalty will be reduce more. I hope this help other guests before checking in in that hotel.

I have been staying for almost 4 weeks, the customer service is terrible. Customer experience would be good as hell. I made a request but instead of assisting they keep on declining as the frontliner cant decide. I asked for manager even the owner, they just told me that they dont provide infos. Huwaattttt?????? Been in different places and hotels in phil. But this is the worst!!!!

Yes, affordable and accessible but the service sucks. Because, the last time we came here, wee reserved for 2 nights and 3 days but the customer service didn't plot it. Good thing there's still a matrimonial room available. And the worst thing, I accidentally smelled the pillow case, seems like it's been used previously not a new one. Will find another hotel near everywhere. Will not recommend this hotel.

Yeah, its very near SM Lanang & airport. The building is huge, nice interior design.. but .. NO ELEVATOR up to 3rd floor. When we entered the room, the ACU is not working properly. Need to call assistance MANUALLY because there is NO TELEPHONE inside our room. So you need to go down by stairs. And also, NO COMPLIMENTARY TOOTHPASTE. And no nearby convenience store that is 24 hrs open for you to buy. Bed linens are quite old already especially their towel. NO WIFI in 3rd floor. Its a good thing I book for one night only. No complimentary breakfast as well. The staff are not that accommodating also. Will not recommend this hotel. I know there are more good affordable hotels nearby.

Its my second visit to Davao, but first time to tour and get to know the city.

The hotel is a good location and not so expensive. It is near the airport, right infront of Robinson's supermarket, 5mins away from SM Lanang Premier, and around 7-10mins away from Abreeza Mall,a lot of restaurant within the vicinity and fruit stand to try the native fruit Durian (for the adventurous people), Mangosteen, Langka or the very rare Marang.

The hotel is cozy and clean...staffs are friendly and accomodating. The rooms have flat screen tv, study table, lamp stand, safety deposit box, hot and cold shower. They have free wifi in the common area and lobby, unlimited hot n cold water refilling station in the dining hall. Easy access to taxi and jeepney to commute around the city. The hotel has a parking space at the back as well for locals who just want to relax or for tourists who like to rent a car and drive around the city.
