Sunny Point is just along Maa Road, you can take a taxi or a PUJ but if you riding a bus don't worry because Buses pass through this road, The Hotel Facade is Beautiful but the rooms, I think I will give a 5 out of 10 rating for there room's and the remote of the TV is broken and there is no telephone in the room, you must have to go to the lobby if you have any concern's with your room.

The package sounded like a good idea ... in many ways it was. But .... the add-ons to the package and the continuous objective of up selling us really took the joy out of the day. Rooms were really tattered and somewhat unclean. Ceremony was great because we controlled it. The reception was out of control and a load of chaos. I would not recommend this place. Cheap ... but not worth the cheap.

The room for 1 was pretty small. It was really for 1. haha. It is like, you don't have a place to stretch your body. It is a clean room, hot water is available and staffs are accommodating. Breakfast is satisfying!

Terrible service. Complimentary breakfast is a joke. Two slices of bread and one instant coffee packet.
Very poorly maintained rooms.
No hot water for shower.
No water jug in the room.
No service at all. I would not say here again ever. No response from general manager

We were stranded in Davao because of an unfortunate aircraft incident in Manila airport that was eventually closed for flight operations by local authorities. This left hundreds of people stranded in Davao International Airport who by now were looking for a place to spend the night. Most hotels were fully booked previously because of the local Kadayawan festival celebration every third week of August that coincided with this unforseen incident of a commercial aircraft straying off the pave runway and on to the side grassy portion of the runway of NAIA airport.

These two events made our search for a place to stay harder. Luckily one in our group knew of a place named Sunny Point Hotel and Apartelle just 4 miles from Davao airport. We took a taxi and there it was, a three story building with plenty of rooms to spare for all eleven of us.

The rooms are quite small and the toilet and bath can barely accommodate a person inside and the beds are not as comfy as one would prefer. But its cheaper than most hotels and its clean and have a good hotel restaurant on the first floor with plenty of meal choices. It definitely saved our day and without a doubt have given us a restful night.

My first time back in Davao in so many years. Our event was held here and we were so excited but it was a nightmare! I don't mind having a small room but this was ridiculous! Ants on the bed even with no food around, kept scratching the whole night. No water. Room smelled like a sewer on the second and third day. If we weren't needed early for our event, i would have bolted out of there pronto! The only positive thing there was the staff who were kind and accommodating.

I was not expecting a good service in this hotel. My first visit was 2002 for my Prom and next is today. I was surprised for their food, I did not expect it to be good but it turn out tasty so it a plus. The room is old but the towels are horrible! How can u serve these kind of towels to your guests? 😒👎

You will not believe me if I say that for 700 pesos, I had the service of hotel I always demanded. Clean bathrooms, well-airconditioned. Plus, classy. With complete amenities. And the wifi is fast-loading.

Cons-
Area is not accessible by PUJ, u will need to get a cab everytime.

Rooms are old,m not sure about their apartelle though.

Area is far from the centre/downtown.
No access for public jeepney, u will have to get a cab everytime.

Rooms are old.

Beds were not a hotel quality type, just a thin wood frame with thin foam.

Linens were dusty. We were not provided with a towel during our 2nd day and 3rd day.

No telephone.

TV is still the CRT type which does not turns on immediately , cable channels are limited & needs access codes.

AC unit was soooooo noisy that they can penetrate ur dreams as well :)

Wifi is strong but u will need to ask from frontdesk daily since it expires after 1 day.

No elevator/lift.

Rooms starts on the 2nd floor.

But what bothered me most since i had an asthma attack during my travel to davao, the guest next to our room lits cigarette from his toilet which is also right next to ours, so i think ol of the cigar smell gets into the vent, and scattered to our entire room..can u just imagine being sick and has to inhale this hazardous chemical. I even tried talking to the staff and they were able to confirm that smoking is not allowed but they cannot reprimand that certain guest which i m not sure y.. They only answered me with "he really smokes.. "(wth??davao na ha? ) i asked for a room transfer but they can only offer the one from the 3rd floor.. Which is not also suitable for me to go up and down using their stairs.

Pros

Simple but healthy and affordable bfast only 150/guest (they dont serve pork)

They were able to grant my early check in request... (9am instead of 2pm)

Vicinity has laundry shop and a grocery store.

Will i go back? - nope :)

This place is located not at city center, but it's classic and very elegant. They have clean and functional facilities and what I like most is the very clean rest room. They also have function halls for special occasions and parties.
