Wonderful bed with fluffy pillows and nice smelling linens. The towels are so immaculately white and clean. The a/c works well, hot and cold shower functioning as it is, and the toilet bowl has a bidet ( duh, really need to indicate it since this is missing in other hotels). Front desk personnel, JV, is all smiling and accommodating. Their menu though limited are appropriately priced. We just loved our stay at Hotel Esse, thus instead of strolling around the metro, we preferred to stay in our room. Wait, there's more : We were allowed to check in as early as 10 am and checked out as late as 2 pm with no extra cost :)

My husband and i along with our 2 brothers spent 4 days and 3 nights at this hotel last week. It was a late and hurried booking since we found out very 2 days before that our travel agency booked us for the wrong dates and didn't have a lot of other partner hotels that had available rooms. The staff was friendly and wonderful. They treated us like kings and queens. The room was more than what we expected for the price we paid. :) The location is near a lot of restaurants and very near a lot of malls and sites to see as well. We had an awesome time in Davao and we will definitely book here again on our next Davao adventure!

The place is new, it may need some improvement but as you enter the room it is amazing, you just have to locate the hotel and then you can rest comfortably, it looked like a 3 star hotel room. The down side is just there is no ammenities just a nearby restaurant. For the price, we were able to avail the discount so we got the room for a very minimal cost.

The hotel has a very great location. It is at the center, very near restaurants. The room
Was enough but the bathroom is very filthy. There is also a stinky smell coming from the bathroom. I tried eating here for lunch, and I would NOT recomment it. The Brekfast is okay but food is also terrible. I ordered shrimp but it seems that the shrimps are very old and has white molds. Very disappointed. The staff are great but not a value for money!

This place must have forgotten that they were a hotel! We were booked for four nights but checked out after one. A friend stormed out at 5am because they had no water and the staff seemed clueless. My room had mosquitoes flying about and the towels were gray. Road noise was horrible and didn't give us much sleep. I would definitely not recommend this hotel!

Check-in was easy and everyone from the front desk, security and restaurant was so polite, warm and helpful. Very generous with local information and with above and beyond customer service.

Room was clean, aircon was quiet, remote controls all responsive, linens and towels look new, wifi was decent. Everything has been convenient except for the water pressure which is sometimes not very strong and the heater temperature not being very stable. I also like that there's free breakfast which can be served in the room (try the corned beef!) and the other items in the menu are reasonably priced.

Location is good and walking distance to some restaurants. There's still a small portion of the hotel being constructed but seems it's about to get completed. Overall, a great stay!

The place is accessible, just 10 to 15 minutes from the airport. I had a great stay with the hotel. The bed is comfortable .The amenities are good, the wallpaper design is soothing to the eye. The wifi is excellent All the staff are polite and helpful especially when I ask about local information. The food on their restaurant is also nice and delicious.

Our group stayed in this hotel for five nights. I loved their rooms. Spacious, modern, bedsheets and towels are clean, air-conditioning unit functions well, free wifi. I would consider the location as accessible, not to PUJs but to taxis. What I have noticed that I think needs to be improved are:

a. their heater in the shower does not work well when there are many guests.
b. menu list is limited.
c. the hotel entrance is not welcoming to guests.
d. food service should be served completely and on time.

PROS:
1. Location, location, location. It's just along F. Torres, which can be described as Davao's food street - there are a lot of small restaurants and coffee shops along this street. There's also a jeep that passes by in front of the hotel (Route 11), lots of tricycles and taxis, so there's no problem getting around.

2. It's probably the best-smelling hotel that I've ever stayed in - or at least their rooms and lobby really smelled good.

3. Just right for the price - the pillows were soft and the room clean, for a 3-night stay that's just the price of one night in bigger hotels like Marco Polo or Royal Mandaya.

4. The breakfast included was pretty good (and since their restaurant was under renovation, was served as room service). Try their corned beef!

CONS:

1. The hot water heater has a schedule - we had to use cold water when showering early in the morning (around 6 AM). :(

2. Room wasn't soundproofed enough - we could sometimes hear the door of an adjacent room open and close, and the occasional sound of a vehicle passing by.
