We booked the vista cottage at 4,500 PHP per night which is inclusive of a buffet breakfast.

PROS:

1. Cozy clean room with a screened in balcony overlooking the woods with a brook. The room however is not air conditioned, but the cool mountain air is enough to keep the room temperature comfortable.

2. Lots of activities within the sprawling resort! One must stay for around 3 days and 2 nights in order to do all of them.

3. Great food at the fisherman's village and fisher's grill

CONS:

1. Around 30 km from the city center, quite hard to book a taxi. Best thing to do is to charter a vehicle, or you may ask the front desk to call a taxi for you but it may take an hour for the taxi to get to the resort

2. Limited food selections (just adobo, egg and pancakes for our buffet breakfast) and average to goodish food quality in Vista restaurant

3. Not all the vista cottages are accessible to those with impaired mobility. Our cottage (Vista 3) and other adjacent cottages (Vista 1 and 2) would require guests to pass through two or three sets of rough gravelly steps.

4. Signs of wear and tear in our room eg. Tissue paper holder was falling off, phone was not always functional

A really good place to bring your family to enjoy nature! We took the guided tour and learned the history and saw the beauty of the place, there is also a good halo-halo place beside the tour center. They CR is so good to stay since natural fresh air is constantly flowing. We took the fishing village lunch and enjoyed the taste of our own catched fishes! It was so fun. We also tried the skywheel(faced my fear) enjoyed the view while being like a hamster crossing the metal wires. Lol. See pics.

Although this place is a distance from Davao City Proper, it is a must to see for the fantastic views and picture opportunities. There is an entrance fee and if you want the guided tour, it has a fee as well, but well worth it.
Our guide was very articulate and very accommodating in taking pictures. We had an awesome time exploring this park and happy that whoever owns it is keeping the plants and trees well taken cared of.

Overall great resort and park. Enjoyed it very much with the family. Having a toddler and a baby, you are able to enjoy the surroundings and even many of the facilities. We did dear feeding with our 3 year old who loved it. There is a huge playground for him to enjoy although some of the equipment needs some maintenance. We were also able to enjoy the pool which was clean and surrounded by beautiful forrest. In general just walking around in the park is a lovely experience.

The cottage we had was clean and proper for our family of 4. A suggestion would be to provide baby cot as I imagine many families are visiting. We were fortunately able to bring our own.

Another suggestion is to increase the variety at the breakfast and dinner buffet. For example a second juice option, some vegetarian option.

The service we experienced was excellent. When we asked for a shuttle service it alway immediately arrived. When we asked for housekeeping service, it was immediately provided. Overall every encounter we had with the staff at any location was pleasant and they were always helpful.

The park is huge. Lots of activities to choose from.. good for families. Lots of trees around. We saw around four peacocks roaming around the place freely. It is approximately just an hour away from Davao City, just make sure you make transportation arrangements to and from the City.
Visiting Eden nature park is a must, when you're in Davao.

Dear MichelleGDM, Thank you for sharing your experience with us and giving us 5-stars! As what what our slogan says - Where Nature Meets Adventure, we really aim to make our guests have a great time during their visit to the resort. Aside from that, we are also promoting sustainable tourism, peacocks roaming around freely around the resort is just one of our natural attractions, clean fresh air 24/7 and our farm to table vegetable garden. Hoping you can come back to Davao and take time to visit Eden again. Warmest Regards, Eden Team

Overall, the place is great to refresh your mind together with the family.
A nice place to visit in the weekends or holidays.

Located in a mountainous place, Eden Nature Park really has a great view of the surrounding areas.

Aside from the great view, there are also activities you can try or just watch from the sidelines. Just try to go there earlier in the morning as it gets hot there at around 10-11am and there are a lot of tourist there.

Overall, the place is great to refresh your mind together with the family

Imagine a huge playground complete with adventure activities like the zipline and Skyrider. Do you see yourself dangling ala Indiana Jones? Just wanna take a swim or relax while enjoying the view? How about taking a long walk while enjoying nature? If these are the things that you, your friends, or your family wanna do, then Eden Nature Park & Resort is the place for you. Staying in this beautiful paradise made me feel like a child again and I can't wait to come back for another round of adventure.

We stayed here for two nights in their vista cottage which is good for three. It has a minibar, hot/cold shower and a great view in the balcony. Take note that there is no airconditioner; it is cold in the place because of its elevation. There is a television but channels are limited. But who needs TV when there are other more enjoyable things to do, right?

Buffet meals are available in the restaurant. It only costs P250 for breakfast and P350 for lunch/dinner, complete with drinks. The vegetables served came from the resorts garden so they were really fresh and crisp. The dishes were regularly refilled so you can eat as much as you can. What delighted us was that whenever we eat, we were always served extra dishes like the tocino for breakfast, and the fish dish and cookies and cream dessert during dinner.

We also enjoyed a lot the guided shuttle tour which brought us around the park. One reason was because our tour guide, Erwin, was very funny, a good photographer, and knowledgeable of the resort. He showed to us the different flowering plants in the flower garden and vegetables in Lola's garden. We saw the lettuce and tomato greenhouses which use state-of-the-art hydroponic technology. We also saw the deer park and plantation of durian, mangosteen, macadamia, and dragon fruit. Don't forget to make a wish in the wishing well in Lola's garden.

However, if you plan to come here, you better be ready for certain things:
1. Be ready for the long trip from the city to the resort. Eden is located in Toril, Davao which is approximately 40 km away from the city. The trip may take around an hour considering the speed limit in Davao. If you're riding the taxi, prepare enough cash for the trip.
2. Be ready for the bumpy ride inside the resort. Eden is a mountain resort so you go up and down traveling from one place to another. There are designated parking areas in the resort. Service vehicles are available, you just need to dial "0" if you need one.
3. Be ready to cut yourself from the outside world. There is very poor Globe signal; Smart has better reception. There is no WiFi in the room and in the restaurant. We only got to connect in the front desk. Because of this, you get to relax enjoy your time with family and friends.
4. Be ready to pay for the rides. It only costs P300 for the Skyride and zipline combo.

If you visit Eden, enjoy every moment of it and make sure to bring your camera with you all the time.

This used to be a really nice place up in the mountains to be with family but the management has not upgraded the facilities and even the rooms. Our room was filled with blank ants and cockroaches. They transferred us to a smaller room but had fewer ants. It was better except that for a family of four, we were cramped.
I understand that mountain lodges have these challenges but there must be a way to peacefully sleep in the lodge without getting bitten by pests the whole night. We hope the management will look into this as Eden is one of the very few mountain lodges in Davao. It would be a waste to cross it off. :( Step up, Eden.

A spot that I strongly recommend once you visit the city of Davao. A great place to relax and have fun!

If you don't own your own car, I don't recommend to commute going to this place because you might be having difficulty. What we did is we rent a Taxi from the city to Eden. Day Tour worth of 2,000pesos so not tough at all. Only an hour or two after we arrived in Eden. And we start our Guided Tour right away. If you will be there only for a Day Tour I recommend to take their Guided Tour since the place is so huge and it will too much of your time if you'll go for trekking. After the Tour we took our snack and wait until they open their rides. We enjoyed Skyrider and Sky Cycling. A must try!!! Then we immediately left the place for our next attraction which is the Crocodile Park. You need to be there before 4pm for the crocodile feeding of the largest crocodile in the farm. By the end of the Day we payed 2,500pesos for the taxi since we were able to consume our drivers' time for the whole day. Which our taxi driver was so much Thankful for an extra 500pesos. Enjoy everyone.

The service doesn't do justice to the beauty of this place. We requested for an extra bed that never came despite numerous follow up. Check was two hours late and transport is non-existent. This place is not worth your time and money if the service doesn't improve significantly.
