The room is clean , with soft pillows. It is properly made up daily,, and all bathroom necessities are all replaced daily. The floor supervisor ( tess) makes sure the room is properly made up and surpervises all the room attendants to their works

Room is good with excellent bedding. Breakfast at the Heat is nice. The housekeeping staff Ms Tess and Micheal is very warm and accommodating. The birthday preparation in the room including the goodies sent in before and on my actual birthday is much appreciated. Checkin made by Faye in the front desk is seamless and she even sent a cake on the day itself. Thank you.

Did the 3 hour pass for the health club and pool at ₱2,500, which includes ₱1,500 redeemable (or as it’s called locally, consumable) for food and drinks at any restaurant except La Cabrera.

This is great value considering you’d pay $160+ per night for a stay here, so if you’re looking for the experience (and/or a workout with quality equipment and clean facilities) this gives you it at a fraction of the cost.

Customer service was very attentive (nice little “buzz” buttons at each lounger by the pool to order) and the food was 10/10.
Its sister hotel Makati Shangri-La is excellent too, though this has more of a resort vibe.

The “EDSA Shang” is in a good location that’s walking distance to SM Megamall, Greenfield District and not too far by car from nearby Makati, BGC & QC. However, after many years visiting, working, living and staying in the Philippines, I have to say that the EDSA Shangri La does not feel like a 5 star hotel. It feels like a cheaper version (not in price!) compared to the other Shangri La hotels in the Philippines (and globally). I understand this is one of many places still recovering from covid and lockdowns but there were several basic things just missing from our visit.

The rooms are small and run down and are missing several basic amenities which you’d find in much cheaper hotels. The mini bar is never stocked as they “don’t stock it anymore” and a call to room service involves scanning a QR code for a menu that never loads and then a very long wait. We ordered 5 beers and an ice bucket. The beers were delivered in a brown paper bag 45 mins after requested with no ice. The (tiny) ice bucket came an hour later. The room itself has power outlets that don’t work and an empty fridge that never really got cold.

The service in the lobby lounge is the poorest. The staff there just do not understand simple requests and ordering anything in the lobby is a frustrating experience full of confusion, misunderstanding and apathy. Simple things like cold beer, a pen to sign the bill, providing more than one (iPad) menu to our group of 4 would have helped even. We did have 2 excellent experiences in the Lobby from Charles and Ford who were absolutely fantastic, but otherwise it was difficult, slow and felt unfriendly. Whether ordering in Tagalog or English, the staff struggled to understand and get things right. The manager of the lobby really needs to train their staff better and create a better atmosphere.

Housekeeping was good but inconsistent. For some reason my 2 colleagues (on the same floor) got daily banana bread, fresh fruit, towel art whereas we didn’t even get a fruit bowl (we did get a lovely towel dog on our last day) but unsure why we never had any snacks in our room (especially when there’s no minibar!)

The pool is lovely and the bar and restaurant at the pool has good service and food. The lunch buffet in Heat was also fantastic. The drivers of the hotel cars were great as was the service from Angela at the front desk when we checked out.

But, given the price of the rooms, the poor service from the lobby lounge, the missing amenities and the fact they pre-authorise more on your credit card on checkin than any other hotel I’ve stayed at globally… I’m not sure we’d pay so much for the privilege to stay again.

I am staying here for a week and today is day two. I have already asked to speak to the GM for multiple issues. The property is dilapidated and needs a separate review in of itself. The room service is abysmal.. If you order food, be assured, it will be delivered to your room minus any sorts of condiments, including salt and pepper. After asking, I was given 1(that’s right, 1) paper pack of salt and pepper each for dinner last night…oh and by the way, it will probably arrive in about 45 minutes to an hour. Then this is at 11 PM at night for dinner!! The hairdryer for the bathroom is in the writing desk drawer in the main room!! (not even kidding) When asked how I defog the mirror in the bathroom I was told to wipe it down with a towel. When I asked to speak to the GM, I was told I could speak with the Duty manager. The TV remote works when it is next to the TV and works nowhere else in the room! This is the Shangri-La it is not run of the mill motel, just pathetic for being considered one of the leading luxury brands in Asia

The room service was superb. Our hotel room is always clean. The room attendant makes sure he repleneshes our supply of water for drinking as well as bathroom essentials, and he makes sure our hotel room is tidy and neat. All of the staff were super nice, accomodating and very helpful. The breakfast buffet is the best!

My friends and I stayed at Edsa Shang last June 22-23 and it was a very memorable and comfortable experience! In all of our rooms, we had comfortable beds and were assisted by great housekeeping staff, especially by Mr. Kier Delos Santos.

We also enjoyed the different amenities that came with checking in the hotel such as the gym, the pool, and the health club jacuzzi! Such a great variety of activities could be done and it really made our staycation fun and unforgettable.

I have been in Edsa Shangri-la multiple times over the years and each stay has always been pleasant. The rooms are always clean and very comfortable, the breakfast buffet is yummy, and the service of the staff always goes above & beyond my expectations. My stay this week is no different but I experienced something that set Edsa Shangri-la apart from the other hotels I have been to. Today, my sister and I took pictures while having breakfast and one of the staff kindly offered to take our pictures despite him being busy assisting other guests and we really appreciate that. I was also working in my hotel room when the cleaning crew, Gil, came. I asked him to proceed with cleaning while I worked. I observed him cleaning while I was taking a break and it was my first time to be asked "How is your stay at Edsa Shangri-la?" I have never been asked that by a cleaning crew before. So I told him that I always love my stays here for the past years. So we had a pleasant conversation and after cleaning he politely asked me if there's anything else that I need. So I said thank you and I'm happy with what he has done for me. After a few minutes he came back and brought me a banana bread loaf to delight me and wished me an enjoyable stay here while advising me to approach him and his colleague if there's anything else I need. This is indeed something I haven't seen in other hotels here in Manila before. Their hospitality and service is top notch and they always go above and beyond to give you a pleasant experience during your stay.

Edsa Shang maintains its excellence in most aspects but i personally love the sincerity among its employees/staff in handling client’s even the slightest details. I always love the food and yes i appreciate no plastic use already in meetings and drinking water should really be just available in tables ready to be poured by anyone who wants to. I also like the bigger and more functional containers in the restrooms, for soaps/body wash/shampoo and lotion so that little plastuc container use is minimized. Love the place and comfort always.
