Really recommend this hotel for an urban getaway. It is right smack in the central business district but once inside you are transported into a serene and elegant hotel. The lobby was minimalist but was quite relaxing since it was not crowded with people lounging around (hence not noisy). The location is convenient enough that if you want to go to the malls or enjoy dining outside of the hotel all you have to do is cross the street. It was a well-deserved break without the hassle of driving or flying our of the metropolis.

First time staying at New world and I would highly reccomend this stay. From the first we approached for check in greeted by a friendly staff member named EJ and redirected to the club check in was smooth and welcoming. Kat checked us in and was warm and accommodating. We asked for a late check out and was granted with ease. First we had the afternoon tea and was so nice after a long day of travel, we missed out on the happy hour, but next we had breakfast. There is a continental buffet with an option to order hot meals but the buffet was more than enough, next time we will try the hot food. Compliments to the Chef Vince and the staff who are attentive and replenished the food and cleared plates with ease. Thank you to Rizza for all her help and to Josephine the manager for providing a great ambience and area for enjoying the food and views of Makati. Good job to Crissie, Charlene, Michelle, Karla, JonJon and Val. Will definately be staying here again.

Meryll’s service was commendable. She was attentive to all of our concerns. She made sure our water and wine glasses were never empty and took all of our used plates promptly. Food selection was top notch! Salmon sashimi is fresh and fatty. Cafe 1228 is and always be our go to for celebrations and get togethers. This place is highly recommended.

My friend stayed on this hotel for 7 days in Makati and we accomodated her.
Location is great as Greenbelt is near and you can enjoy different kind of food you’ll crave for.
Room is standard and clean, my friend specifically like their pillows to which we requested to buy some that costs Php3600, unfortunately they dont have stock and didnt even allow us to buy even the old ones.
Amenities are ok. The gym, sauna and pool are great.
The bar at the lobby is a good place to unwind as well but since greenbelt is so near you will prefer to hop on any bars at greenbelt.
One not so good experience is that they dont have grab/ taxi service. My friend need to get out one day and needs a cab but the hotel staff at the door didnt manage to assist her to get a cab or requeat for a grab ride. She end up calling me to book a grab for her.
Over all the stay were fine, services are great as well except for the door man that fails to get my friend a ride.

Dear CuteCKuleet, Thank you for having taken the time to review our hotel and for sharing your feedback. While we are happy to hear that your friend liked our pillows, we regret that we did not have enough spares to sell her some. I was happy with the size of the room I got. It is ideal for a 10-day quarantine. My favorite spot in the room was the couch by the window. I like how the staff value each guest checked in by accommodating to basic requests and needs. During 3rd or 4th day of my quarantine, the manager in charge, Her name was Christine, even called to check if everything was fine and assured that if there is anything I need, do not hesitate to call. I enjoyed the meals served. The portion of food was just right.

Suggestions for improvement:
1. It would be nice to place a subtle fragrant air freshener in the bathroom to have a pleasant smell. The floor and walls are marble so the bathroom smells like the cleaning agent used for marble.

2. It would be nice to update the guest room's look and furniture because it does seem outdated and the color scheme is a bit dark.

Overall my stay was satisfactory. To all the hotel staff, keep up the good work and may the Lord Jesus bless you a hundred fold.

This was our third trip to New World and the third time we've been really happy.
We stay in the residence club rooms on level 24 and 25. It's like a hotel within a hotel, with dedicated staff. The rooms are modern, spacious and clean. There is a good buffet breakfast included. But most of all it is the staff that make a difference. Steven and the residence club team are exceptional. After only a day or two they know your name, so the service is very personal.
I can't speak highly enough of this team.
New World also offers great value for money - especially when compared to other 4 and 5 star hotels in the area. Its also the best located hotel in Makati being directly across from Greenbelt. Easiest pedestrian access to all the malls, bars and restaurants.
Tip: take the residence club package. For the price of breakfast for two you get breakfast, a room upgrade, free afternoon tea, and free happy hour drinks and canapes.

We stayed for a few nights, in the New World Makati and really enjoyed it.
As we had access to the club lounge, we had fabulous breakfasts there- the hot breakfast items from the a la carte menu were delicious.
A special mention to Wilson, Marian, Michelle, James, Yhe, Jon, Giselle, Liza, Kat, Val, Vince, Karla, Michelle, Charlene, Chef Geraldine and Josephine. They looked wonderfully after us, and nothing was to much asked for. They were super attentive, courteous and extremely helpful.
The executive rooms had (in comparison to the superior ones) a sliding door between bathtub and bed, which we didn‘t enjoy as much as the proper „bathroom walls“ as there was a lack of privacy...
However- they were on higher floors, so the road and construction noise (yup- 24hrs building site opposite) was not as loud.
Due to the fabulous staff and service however, we‘d return in a flash!!

It was our first time in this hotel and we are amazed with the service and we are glad that we tried it here..We are very much satisfied that we chose this hotel for my husbands birthday celebration. We availed the residence club rate and the room was perfect and clean, What really amazed me was the Staff and the service at the residence club, They will make you feel comfortable and treat you as a VVIP or much better as family. Special Mention to these awesome and lovely staff: Rizza, Karla, Kat, Criszia, Cheska, Jonjon, Gizelle, James, Wilson and to their Manager Josephine, Stevene, Val, and Charlene. The food also was very delicious prepared by the wonderful chef geraldine and Chef Vince. We will surely suggest this hotel to our friends to try it. If i can rate the hotel 100 i would gladly do it. Thank you new world Makati Hotel.

Not enough nice things to say about this place. Convenience: so close to the airport (less than 5 miles); walk outside the doors and you are in the heart of the best part of Manila for shopping and dining. The included breakfast, tea time and cocktail hour add incredible value to an already comfortable experience. In the Living Room where breakfast is served, Rizza is quick to address your every dining need and keeps the custom made coffee flowing. I had an expertly prepared sunny side up egg made by Chef Vince; no runny whites here! Delicious native foods (suman, longanisa, adobo) are on offer as well as staples from around the globe: Chinese, Japanese, lots of cheeses and cold meats, bread to rival that I’ve had in Paris and Rome... and of course, fruit! Ripe mangoes, pineapples, and watermelon juice were among my favorites. Every single person I’ve met here has been friendly and gracious; I remember Giselle and Steven being particularly helpful. Even the security screening was done with a smile. I have been traveling to the Philippines for nearly 30 years; I cannot say that I have stayed in a cleaner, more comfortable or friendlier place than M New World Makati.

(i) Air conditioning in the room was set at 21.5 degrees, which is basically freezing cold. I turned it off/adjusted temperature a few times but as soon as I left the room and came back after few hours, the temperature was back to 21.5 degrees (apparently this is the default temperature). It was definitely too cold in the room and I was not comfortable at all.
(ii) The bathtub was definitely not appropriate for a five star hotel. It was small, low and overall not looking "premium" enough as you would expect in such kind of hotel.
(iii) Snacks and bottled water available in the room were unreasonably overpriced: 300 PHP for a chocolate tablet, are you serious?
(iv) Our flight was delayed and because of that we were able to reach the hotel in the morning next day rather than the night before. Nevertheless we were charged 4,689 PHP for the room even though we did not check in the night before. You do not expect this kind of treatment from a five star hotel.

Overall my experience at New World Makati did not match my expectations considering the price I have paid for the services and the level of the Hotel (5 stars).

I can’t answer your question and totally agree with you that not only in the kitchen section but everyone should wear a name tag. I usually ask their names or let them write their names on a note. Maybe it’s the hotel policy that employee should not wear name tags.. not sure if it is .. sorry mate

I did see one smoking area in the lounge on 24th floor. Some guest were sitting in the outside garden having a smoke between their meals. So I would assume their is a designated smoking area in the main restaurant 1st floor providing these facilities for hotel guest.
