A nice hotel near my work place. Its safe and clean. The staffs are helpful. Definitely will come back for my next travel in Makati. The rooms are quite big and clean. Only 10 rooms are available in this hotel but well maintained. A little problem with their elevator but no hassle in using the stairs for a bit of exercise. Maintenance for the elevator is said to be on the way. A microwave and a water dispenser in each floor for guests use is available.

My bf and i stayed here for a week. Though the hotel was hard to find, it was all worth it when we got to the hotel. The staff are helpful and courteous, clean surroundings, simple yet modern designed furnitures and properly taken care of. The room was clean, no unpleasant smell, bathroom was so clean it doesnt have molds or dirt in between the floor tiles. Complete with shampoo, soap, condtioner. Complimentary water and coffee. The bed is so comfy, pure white cotton bedsheets and a very soft comforter. Sink, faucet, bowl, microwave, fridge are intact and again,..clean. The only downside of our room was the outside view it was completely blocked by walls. Well bec. The hotel is limited in extent or space since small buildings, resto, apt. are closely narrowed from one another. But the overall experience was delightful. We will definitely come back here. Kudos!

Stayed 5 nights. Very close to Burgos Street but not much noise. Clean comfortable room with little kitchen and good size bathroom. Hot water is sometimes more lukewarm than hot.
Good size TV with a lot of channels. They cleaned room every day except 1. Price is ok in that area, taxis readily available, always ask for meter use and refuse an 'offer' of fixed fare. They can be double the meter. If coming from airport go up to departure level, without going outside....,lots of meter taxis there. If you go to arrivals taxi stand, all ripoff fixed fare.

This is my second stay in this hotel. It is quite and safe place to stay. The staff are so accommodating and maintains cleanliness. A water dispenser and a microwave oven is available on each floor for everyone. A very good low cost hotel in Makati Area.

Stayed 6 nights. Location is good since it's within walking distance of a few restaurants.

Their biggest challenge is that taxi drivers don't know the small street where they're located. Just ask for "Makati Palace Hotel" and walk one minute from there.

The inhouse restaurant (Bistro Mondo) is great. Seperate review on it.

You can get cheaper rooms in this area, but this one is clean and safe. Desk staff is somewhat uninformed about tours and Manila geography.

The big pluses for me was the free WiFi, the fridge, and aircon. The shower was isolated, so that the toilet area didn't get flooded (like many places in Asia).

Cost was about $60. Per night.

I stayed 2 nights at Alley 8 apartments and paid 42 Euros/night for one deluxe room. The pictures displayed in some internet websites are not reflecting the reality. This hotel/apartment in grey is located in the middle of skyscrapers in Makati. The room was of average quality, the size small. The mentioned safety box was in fact a drawer with a key to lock it!The bed was good, the bathroom as well, but the water was cold/warm.There is no room service!Bed and bathroom still a mess when i came back after a trip in Manila. I left at 9 am and was back at 4 pm! The paid price of 42 Euros is really a shame for this hotel. In Thailand, i would have paid the half price for that kind of accomodation.

I got the deluxe room. It got a big bed, small balcony and big bathroom. There was a complementary bottle of water and two Instant coffee sachets. A TV and mini fridge. The room is kinda clean. The bed sheets and towels were clean. The mini fridge not that clean. The hotel location is about 1 min walk from Borgus St. A lot of bars, cafés, restaurants and convenient stores. The trip to and from airport is between 20 - 45 min depends on the traffic and the taxi driver honesty. It was kinda hard to find it, as it's not on the Main Street and all the roads around it is one way. I haven't seen a lot of staff but the few I got to meet we're really friendly and helpful. I didn't try their restaurant. Overall the room price and location is good and I would stay there again.

I'm sure the place has okay rooms.....BUT i arrived after a long flight only to find that the hotel does not accept anything but cash. This is quite literally the first time in my life that I have encountered a hotel that doesn't think it important to accept credit cards.

The gal at the front desk did try to help me so one star for that. But there were ultimately no options, and I ended up having to leave without a room. Quite annoying especially after the hassle of finding the place on a back alley in Makati.

My only advice....Don't stay here unless you have a wad of pisos on you. Enjoy.

We stayed one night just before our long return trip. The purpose was having good rest but we could not sleep because of the music coming from bars and night clubs till morning. The room was okay, staff were helpful but it is better to prefer somewhere else if you want to sleep.
I can suggest this place only for night club fans.
Taxi driver could not find this place easily, it is better to ask the driver to go to Alley 8 Apartments, not Zen Rooms.

Lovely apartments, a good-sized room with double bed, sofa, large TV, wardrobe, dressing table and chair. Then a kitchen area with a 4 ring gas hob, sink, microwave, table and chairs, fridge/freezer and work surfaces. Bathroom with walk-in shower toilet and sink. A balcony to the front and an enclosed outdoor patio to the rear, useful if you're a smoker. The apartment was clean and well-maintained, staff were very friendly and helpful, even printing out some important documents for me. The location was good, right in the centre of many of Makati's bars and nightlife, but not too far from many other tourist sights in Manila. Highly recommended!
