I was put up in this hotel at the recommendation of a so-called friend. Despite my surprise at being able to rent a room by the hour I set aside my reservations and booked a room for the night. Arriving back at 1am I was surprised to find 40 couples in the lobby and many more queuing outside to avail of the services of the hotel.

While my room was clean and free of insect companions the Walls are very thin. In consequence I was kept up all night. First by the screams of pleasure of my fellow guests and then by their snores. When I finlly managed to sleep I was awakened at 6am by the morning chorus of couples in coital bliss once more. I swiftly decamped to EDSA which was quieter and somewhere less seedy.

Thankfully the rooms were sterilised. The only hotel I have ever stayed in where pornography is the default station on the TV.

This hotel is very very expensive for a 9 hours stay. I paid for 9 hours stay in their "Premium" suite for 1250 php. I thought that everything is prepared and I should be able to relax and able to finish my unfinished work reports. But when I came here, I am surprised because most of the people in the lobby only wear flip flops and sando's and shorts with their partners. I surely think that they do not come here just to cool themselves because of the aircon but hey! you guys know what I am talking about.

When I went to my room, the other occupants near the room where I have stayed are noisy. I can hear them laughing and I can hear they chit chatting and their television is so loud. This hotel could have made their rooms noise resistant.

2nd thing I hate about this room is that when the time I went in the bathroom to take a shower, I never felt any hot shower which is indicated in the shower that I can select either hot or cold or temperate. So, with the aircon turned on and the cold air still enters the shower room, I took the chance of taking my shower eventhough the water is cold. It made me angry.

3rd thing was around 2 in the morning and I can hear myself sound asleep, I can hear the partners next to my room moaning and their bed screeching. Of course I know exactly what was happening so I just covered my head with another pillow to get myself back to bed.

I never thought about staying here will be this inconvenient.

O, and one advise, don't try their food as it is worser than fastfood.

Its unbelievible it can be listed as a hotel. Its symply dirty cheap made but expensive to what they bring in quality of room service cleanliness. Typical good for poor philipin or chinese or japanes clients. It looked to me like an officiale licenced hurehouse. Dont go there with family.

We(4 people) booked the hotel for 4 nights and when we came there they let us wait at the lobby fully of young couples who wanna use the rooms for a short time, from there we were already confused if we were in the right place coz it felt like a motel!!!As a result of waiting,The manager(maybe)escorted us to a deluxe room which door was broken and suddenly one guy in hotel uniform popped up and said something impolite about us.We were told that they were gonna move us to the premium room after a night and it didnt happen after all the instructions we told them. Finally we were transferred and at first glance the room looked fine not until the the tube leaks in the comfort room, after seeing that we asked them to do something about it and the girl i talked to was so impolite,(she is at the front desk by the way) she couldnt understand English and she ignored me.Our other friends move to a good hotel due to the noisy people cleaning the hall way,,they felt like they are on the fields playing soccer, they didnt care if guests were sleeping!and gosh,,4 days of staying there and not one sheet was replaced,we always arrived at an uncleaned room.So guys if you wanna have a nice memory of manila ,never ever get close to this hotel! All staff were unprofessional,i guess if the owner wants the business to level up,He or she must change everyone in there.

I decided to sleep int this location since I am too drunk and I really need a place to stay at. I was sooooo frustrated when I arrived cuz it took a long time for me to check in since there are lots of people ont the line checking out. Then, when I got on the front desk the lady told me that the room is on a higher rate since it is friday night so the advertisement for 3 hours sleep was no longer available(so I paid 600 for just 3 hours). Inside my room, I decided to order food since I got ungry but the phone was broken. DUH!? And this is the most frustrating thing, I woke up soaking wet because of sweat bcuz the AC was not working well.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Been checking-in many times in their different branches until a certain incident last night that made me realized never ever to enter Sogo Hotel anymore.

– Isn’t this some kind of weird coincidence or some kind of deceiving sales and marketing strategies? Your Econo, Regular and Deluxe rooms are always not available.
– Courtesy call must be done at the convenience of the guest otherwise it depicts the purpose of your phone in the room if you will just ask them to call you even if you’re the one with concern to them.
– Inconsistent and No-Nonsense Policy

a. Joiners/additional guests or visitors – there is always exception to the rule, this can be negotiated especially if the guest insisted and won’t endanger the reputation of your company and lives of other guests. Would you say no to VIP’s, Politicians, Celebrities and Dignitaries asking favor of access to their personal guests? I don’t think so.

b. ID for Verification – any other option in case your guest or visitors don’t have ID aside from saying “No”? In your EDSA, Guadalupe, Makati Branch they will say “No” as per Sogo policy which they can’t even prove because according to Mr. Raymond Tamboong, it was verbally mentioned to him by his superiors. A policy and yet no hard copy as a proof? What if in case the guest verified the identity of the visitor isn’t that enough? A visitor can also log his/her identity to your security while all of your CCTV cameras are taking their photos. You can also call the guest in their room if the visitor is leaving. Isn’t this enough? Aren’t there any options which will both be beneficial to your company and the guests?

c. Refund Policy – no matter how small the amount but considering the humiliation, I do expect a refund, an apology and a sanction must be given to your incompetent staff handling my case. I haven’t use the room yet and to think all these dilemma happened to me and yet you have the audacity to forfeit my payment.

d. Customer Service – the attitude and the way your staff in EDSA, Guadalupe, Makati Branch handle my case speaks your poor training. This include handling of your social media accounts.

From someone positioning themselves to be a hotel, clearly you are far beyond your dream.

I check in June 25 2014, I take this hotel be coz it's close to my dest. I don't know what kind of hotel they are I thought it is a family hotel based on their slogan but the truth is a one night stand , unfriendly staff, and lousy amenities , the worst is the staff. Don't know how to mend their manner, they even call me in my room just to asked how many people in the room several time, even my girl friend cannot go into my room coz they afraid she will stay there they only give her 15 minutes to visit me. What kind of hotel is this, they have this hidden regulation, for instant just don't go there. There are still a lot af nice and cheap hotel around Manila and makati, this is the worst night mare that I have in my live. I stay in executive room no 440, bad in every thing
