We had a comfortable and well rested stay for 2 nights before flying back home from Manila. Location is excellent in Makati and close to many resturants and malls. Room was super clean and staff very pleasant and willing to assist. Doorman are brilliant and assisted with heavy lugguage and greeted us so warmly when we returned each day.
We did have a 3am " emergency evacuation" one morning however dispite the interrupted sleep, it was comforting to know that staff are very capable of ensure all guests are evacuated when need arises ( not sure how many other hotels would successfully evacuate all guests in a crises) We were advised "false alarm" however am sure there was an emergency of some kind that was contained. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

My daughter and I had the pleasure of staying in this hotel for 3 nights. Minus traffic its 25-30 minutes to the airport by Grab.

Size of the room and bathroom was great. Lovely view of the city where you can see the sunrise. The only downside is the noise as it is close to the traffic. However if you’re fine with it then its not a big deal. We were able to sleep well as we’re city girls.

The beds were large and comfortable considering that I asked for 2 single beds, they came as the size of doubles which is great for foreigner expats as well.

The pool was a lot of fun and great for families with kids. Unfortunately the weather was a bit gloomy at the time but we managed to squeeze some pool time in.

Couple of things i’d like to see them improve on would be to improve on the quality of bathroom amenities.

Aside from that, will surely come back!

This is my second time in this hotel and with reference to my first time review last year (July 2019), this time would like to combine the same significant issue that didn’t mention in the last year review. In general the hotel is located in a very busy area with a lot of activities including restaurants, bars, cafes, etc. Overall staff were respectful, the breakfast area and food ware so good. My review here is not based on standard rooms but on suit rooms, last year I stayed in the mini suit room and this year I decided to upgrade to one bedroom suit which was very spacious with big seating room and bathtub. My concern was housekeeping and CLEANNESS, not all housekeeping staff are professional I noticed this since last time and I thought it won’t happen this time because am staying in a proper suit room but it was worst. Last time I stayed 10 nights and complained this issues to the manager after staying 3 nights after which the action was taking immediately. This time again I stayed 10 nights and found the same situation, seating room floor never vacuumed or mopped, toiletry etc never replaced when they finished, have to call housekeeping from time to time for replacing the consumed items. This time I intentional stayed 7 days without complain to see what would happen, believe me dirty and debris every corner some time had to remove or clean myself! Subsequently, I complained to the manager and asked her to see the room now after cleaning, anyway the action was taken immediately and replaced professional housekeeping staff which I saw the different and from that time on everything was perfect (I finished my last three nights happily). My message here is that, if you have to stay in this hotel assure that not everything is up to standard, you’ve to complain to the manager in order to obtain the satisfactory quality

Unfortunately the advertised Package was a bit misleading for the customer, and some of the inclusions were either not available, or were simply not as indicated. Upon check-in, the staff didn't really know much about the package inclusions so we were forced to pursue them to ensure we got what we paid for. At the Spa, the staff knew nothing about the inclusion of the complimentary upgrade to the Couple Private Retreat. When we asked about it, they first denied it was part of the booking, and then when shown the email confirmation with inclusions, they then claimed it wasn't available. Also the "Romantic Breakfast in Bed" was just the regular in room breakfast service, nothing special. Room standard was clean and plain and based on a basic version of Hyatt Hotel decor. Most staff were generally friendly and helpful, just not prepared well by their Management to deliver their product as advertised. Overall the Hotel identifies itself as a 5 Star Hotel, but in all fairness it sits around 3.5 - 4 Star in reality.

I'M Hotel Makati is a modern hotel that is comfortable but they have some ridiculous policies which are expensive , inappropriate and unnecessary.

Be warned this hotel charges you 3000 peso her night of your stay. Absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary so if you stay for 7 nights you will pay 21000 Peso which is about $550 and they actually bill this to your credit card!

Now you wonder why they charged this ridiculous amount because they don't have a minibar or anything inside the room there is nothing it is not in any other hotel rooms so why they make this absurd charge is ridiculous.

The next policy they have is if you have a guest come and visit you they request their vaccination certificate and ID which I don't have a problem with but then when your friend comes back the next day and day after to visit you want to go and grab some food out and about they insist on the time wasting and humiliating exercise of making the person go through this registration process again and again and again. Not only is this not done at most hotels it's totally unnecessary and time wasting and very customer unfriendly.

The hotel itself is modern and the rooms are a decent sized with comfortable beds & they provide four pillows.

They provide dental kits  slippers, bathrobes, tea and coffee making facilities and two bottles of free water.

The bathrooms are small and the showers are poorly designed because they have a square box mounted on the wall with sharp corners which is quite dangerous if you would have slipped, and the floors in in the showers are quite slippery.

There is a fixed shower rose and there is also a hand-held shower head which very strangely is mounted at waist height so you cannot use the hand-held shower and put it into its holder and shower that way. A very poor design. The towels are old and cheap.

The swimming pool located on the 2nd level has a modern trendy design where there is a raised walkway with enclosed seating areas with cushions, so you can sit up on these seats and sit back and watch people in the pool or look out over Manila.

I thought this was quite a good idea and a modern design.

There is a small bar fridge but it only keeps things cool and not cold.

The rooms also have a large desk and a sofa so there's plenty of room if you want to use the desk to use your laptop or to place things on.

I would stay here again, however I do think they really need to rethink their ridiculous policies on the excessive unnecessary charges to your credit card per night where no other hotel does that, even hotels that have mini bars and other condiments available.

For a reputed 5 star hotel I’M is not as it should be for the prices it charges (specially when it increases its prices of high demand such as New Year’s Eve. The hotel has started to use clients money on the short term money market by demand a 3000 peso per night deposit. They are very quick to impose the deposit and very slow (up to 7 days after departure ) to release. The boast with the room of two complimentary cans of soft drink in the mini bar, but these are only a one off if you stay more than one night. Sadly the cock roaches inhabiting my room were the biggest I have ever seen.

The breakfast buffet offers a considerable range and choice of foods so it should at the price charged for breakfast, but not to offer pieces of fresh fruit such as bananas apples, oranges or apples Is just poor food and beverage management. Even worse is their offering orange mix drink as orange juice . The hotels highlight of a notice on every table that wasted (leftover) food will be charged to the guest at 300 peso per 100 grams is an absolute insult to each and every guest. A professional F&B manager would have taken usage costs into his costing but to put a sign on every table is an outright insult. I don’t why they offer a buffet.

The cleanliness of the pool is questionable as the glass sides are absolutely filthy.

Having checked in at reception in the lobby then redirected to the 5th floor to check out is just plain outright crazy specially on a very quiet morning such as New Year’s Day.

Stayed for the New Year Eve’s countdown. Room toilet is flooding when taking shower. The receptionist from buying the New Year Countdown ticket informed me that open bar is open until 1am but in reality it was 11pm. So I payed 3,800 x 3 pax = 11,400php for a round of drink, left over food, frustration, deceitfulness, over crowded event. really liked it, big room at the 14th floor with nice views, super comfy and large bed.
they give you a bunch of snacks/juices for free if you like their Instagram profile which I think was nice.
the architecture of the pool is really cool with see-through floor that faces the main entrance and cage-like bed areas. unfortunately it is on the 2nd floor and it sooo noisy, you hear cars and scooters' honks literally every 5 seconds which makes it really hard to relax: would have given away the see-through floor for having the pool on a higher floor.
cool bar on the last floor with an impressive 360° panorama on Manila and a jellyfish aquarium! sick ;)

This hotel is in a great location, Great pool, great rooms. However it is no where near what you’d expect from a five star or even 4 1/2 star hotel.

They have no concept of going beyond to help make you stay.pleasurable.

Theses were the few things that put me off this hotel for good

1. Ask for expresso martini which the whole planet makes, at the rooftop bar, was told they have no expresso and it was too much efforts to get it this was from the bar manager

2. Similar at the pool bar no aperol too much effort to get it from another bar

I can go on, you will enjoy your stay no doubt but do not be fooled by the look of the hotel if you want 5 star service

I’d find another hotel persons ally

I’d also sack the pool bar manager, rooftop bar manager and hotel manager in the process as they are failing in every level of service

The hotel room and service were good! Staff is very accommodating with requests. Spa areas could be cleaner; the bathrooms should be cleaned more thoroughly/ more often. The sauna was very enjoyable. The massage was alright.

Regarding food, we opted for the 3-course dinner at the roof deck that came with the hotel stay package. I would not recommend getting the 3-course dinner at full price (PHP 1500) as the food itself wasn't particularly noteworthy (except for the matcha dessert, which was good). They also served the appetiser and main course at the same time for some reason, which overcrowded the small table and made it hard to eat.

The breakfast service in the hotel room was definitely an enjoyable experience. The food was plenty and so delicious, I would absolutely recommend getting breakfast with your stay. :) Overall, would definitely come back for the hotel and breakfast stay if I had the chance. The spa, the dinner, maybe not.
