Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Good: Nice location next to a little park. Easy access to main roads and shopping nearby. The air/heat in the room worked well, was not noisy and kept the temperature perfectly. No smoke smell or other odors. A medium size tv with Direct TV was nice as was the microwave and a small clean fridge. Not so good: Parking lot is full of trash. The building is old and in bad shape, really needs renovation. The rooms are worn torn, carpets have seen better days and they were filthy behind all the furniture. The bathroom was clean, sort of, but clearly it needs to be gutted and done over again. Wall outlets are ancient and scary. The bed was bizarre. Mattress was sort of lumpy. The outer cover was a plasticky thin "advertisement." The fake velour blanket was extremely thin and had HOLES in it and was DIRTY. The sheets were clean and smelled good but the bed was made sloppy. The two pillows were tiny but comfortable. The walls are paper thin and I listened to many conversations all night, walking up and down halls, banging doors, people discussing they were tired of quarantining! The most annoying thing is that these rooms are really worth about $40-45 dollars a night, not $70.

We checked in and were welcomed by very nice people. The beds were comfortable and the room was a good size with an extra mirror and ledge outside the bathroom which is nice when there are more than one person taking showers. We had no issues except were dismayed to see no breakfast. They should have let us know. (It was listed behind on the wall, though, which we didn't notice until later.) Overall, I would stay there again. Very nice customer service.

The is an average hotel located in a good area of the city. Easy to get to and we enjoyed the neighborhood with its beautiful old homes during our Sunday morning walk. The staff here is very friendly and helpful although they appear understaffed. The free breakfast is modest but fresh and a good variety of items including good coffee.

We came into town for a wedding. Early out, the other hotels were booked so we decided to go with the Days Inn despite some of the reviews thinking surely it couldn’t be so bad. It was bad, really bad. When we arrived there was a phone to call someone to come and check you in. I realize that staff shortages are a thing everywhere now so we didn’t mind this so much, only when I called, nobody was answering. Eventually we were checked in. Making our way to the room, everything smells like smoke and old water. I am usually not one to complain but want to sway anyone who might be on the fence about staying here. I hate to hurt someone’s business but they really should be taking better care of this property. There was stuff engraved into our headboard and looked like someone spilled something all over the dresser that was never cleaned. Thank goodness we were able to find a room that had opened up elsewhere. We took our stuff out and refused to stay. I dropped the keys at the front desk and didn’t have time to complain given we were on our way to a wedding. Truly recommend spending the extra money somewhere else.

The owner was very friendly. All staff was helpful kind and considerate making sure that guests were as happy as possible and everything was perfectly up to standards. The owner Dave will sit down and talk to you like a friend and make sure that you are happy and if you don't know the area he'll tell you everything you need to know they are very personable. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area to stay here whether it be short-term or long-term it is an amazing place to stay.

Absolutely horrible staff and hotel. Broken items in my room include: Toilet seat, hair dryer, key reader, A/C, and alarm clock. You can smell the massive odor of marijuana coming from the office. The attendant is a horrible, rude and angry person. Got angry with me because I couldn't get into my room. Mostly because he was asleep on the floor behind the counter and i woke him up. At one point told me "F&^% your mother". Personally, I would rather jump in a bathtub with a toaster then stay here ever again.
And almost forgot about the stains on the floor, walls, and furniture. If i could have found another place to sleep i would have. Almost slept in my car because of the smell.
If you choose to book a room here, GOOD LUCK! Buyer beware!
Wyndham should bulldoze this piece of crap, fire the entire staff and start over..............

9/24/22 I feel so stupid for not checking the reviews first. I take reviews with a grain of salt because you just can't make some people happy. My husband and I are not those people. There are so many bad reviews here PLEASE LISTEN. We took a spur of the moment trip to the Finger Lakes figuring finding a hotel shouldn't be a problem. After visiting the Del Lago Resort and Casino and being told they had no vacancy and neither did another hotel nearby, however, a casino employee said the Days Inn in Auburn NY was nice so we called them and booked a room for the night and never checked the reviews first because of her recommendation. I don't know how long it was since the she stayed there but it was awful. Toilet was filthy, used and not flushed, hairs on toilet, before discovering the toilet was filthy, my husband secretly tried to rinse hairs that were in the sink down the drain (which was clogged) so I wouldn't get any more freaked out. He told me after we left. Very dirty carpet on the way to room, open the door, light switch turns no lights on, 2 of 4 lamps working in room, huge spot of damage under windows, kids sticker on bed stand, one bed stand pushed in the corner, bed was low and flat..looked very uncomfortable. Mildew on shower curtain. Dirty carpet with suspicious stains. Front desk clerk was pleasant and apologetic but this sh** show was beyond her control. When I went back down to the front desk to complain she switched us to another room and said she had a couple more if that one wasn't ok. It was a little better but still very bad. We got our things went back to the desk and said we just couldn't do it. By this time it was about 12am and we drove the 3 hours home (no other vacancies in the area besides ones that looked like they might be a repeat of this experience) This all occurred about 4 hours ago. It is now 3:54am as I am writing this review that's how passionate I feel about it.

Was the dirtiest hotel I've ever been in. There was someone sleeping in the room when we entered. Second room, our key cards didn't work at all. Couldn't walk in and out of the building without someone smoking by the front door. There were kids hanging out in the evening leaving you very ill at ease about leaving anything valuable or even the safety of your vehicle during the night! The toilet bowl seat was broken. We slept in our clothes as we felt that the room was very unclean. This place needs some major renovations and management upgrades.

You get what you pay for. For the price it was a roof and a bed. But its old out dated, in disrepair, constantly wreaks of cigarette or weed smoke. Staff that cant seem to be bothered or are annoyed with your very presence much less of you ask for service. If youre doing an overnighter it suffices but pay the extra for anywhere else

Wyndham should take a look at this place to pull the name. The room looked as though it hadn't been cleaned. Though the bed had been made, the linens smelled of cologne and not fresh. We only stayed one night and would have left if it wasn't already so late in the night. Not sure how safe the area is, but we heard gun fire nearby. Do yourself and your health a favor, pick a different hotel.

They were doing renovations when we were there and probably still are. Our room at the time was nice and clean.I guess use your judgement. If you are a liberal, you will love the lobby. CNN is always on when the gal behind the desk is working (she is a die hard Democrat). When we were there in May, there were "seasonal" workers staying on the first floor. We had requested first floor room in the past and never could get one.
