Nestled in a prime location, Microtel by Wyndham Baguio is lauded for its accessibility to nearby attractions and the ease with which guests can explore the area. While the ambiance is commended for being cozy and the hotel praised for its spotless environment, some guests have expressed concerns regarding value, noting the mismatch between cost and services. The staff, however, receives accolades for their warm hospitality.
Amenities like complimentary beverages add to the comfort, although critiques about unreliable wifi and unavailable ice machines have been mentioned. Rooms are generally well-regarded, despite some remarks about noise and size.

Detailed Reviews
Took the Victory Bus Liner going to Baguio, Microtel by Wyndham is conveniently located behind the bus station. The hotel was cozy and staffs were friendly. You can’t hear people from the corridors talking or walking. Neither can you hear people taking showers unlike other hotel rooms. The hotel is 10-15 minute walk to Burnham Park (depends on how fast you walk). It is around 5 minute walk to the one and only mall in the city. Have to ask for some of the amenities, like the room slippers, toilet papers. Just don’t expect much of the breakfast buffet. The internet connection was terrible in the rooms that my niece had to go the lobby to get connected. Coffee is available in the lobby but not the freshly brewed coffee. Overall, staffs are great, hotel is cozy, and food is so so.

We were a family of 4: parents + 2 kids (12 and 14 y/o). The room with 2 queen-size beds was perfect for us. We had to pay extra for our 14 y/o who was already considered an adult though, but that's ok. The location of Microtel Baguio was very convenient: SM and Burnham could be reached on foot at a leisurely pace. Room was cleaned daily and hand sanitizing stations were in place in hotel entrances and elevators. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Breakfast had enough variety of food. Overall, very good value for money! We will definitely come back. Our only suggestion is to make the internet speed faster and more reliable, though we only used it in the evenings and early morning.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
Hotel was clean especially the room and even the common restroom. Both comes equipped with bidet. We got the standard queen room with air conditioner and TV. Water pressure was not a problem in this hotel unlike our experience from another hotel stay in Baguio. Hotel is also eco friendly as they provide empty caraffe and glasses inside the room and a water dispenser (I assume) in each floor instead of water bottles. Also, liquid body wash/ shampoo dispenser is installed in the shower area. The connecting walkway between Victory Liner bus Station to Amare and Microtel is very convenient and hassle-free. The location itself is walking distance to SM and other restos. Lastly, the staff is amazing, helpful and prompt to respond even in emails.
The only thing I can recommend is to change some of the warm white lightbulb in the room as it tends to be dark. At first, I was hesitant to book this hotel because room pictures seem to have an outdated and dark vibe. However, I now understand that this is partly due to the warm lightbulb used for lighting. And since the room was cleaner than some of the four and five-star hotels we have tried for staycations in Manila, I would recommend this to my friends and family.

I love this place and would gladly stay here again if I return to Baguio. The convenience of its location and direct access to the Victory Liner bus terminal can't be beat especially as we had a 2am bus back to Manila. We walked to Burnham Park and the cathedral from the hotel.
Coffee and tea is available in the lobby. The rooms are small but more than adequate and I was struck by the absolute cleanliness. Please thank your housekeeping staff. To visitors, don't look for five star amenities but you'll enjoy the place if you understand the type of property you're staying at.
To the management I would like to complement Sheira and Manuelito for excellent service. The check-in with Sheira was friendly and super-efficient. I went down to reception to ask for an extra pillow, The ever smiling Manuelito who helped me with my bags earlier was in the lift with me when reception radioed him with the request and he was at my door within seconds with the pillow. No unnecessary waiting here. Can't other hotels follow this model of efficiency?
There is some noise from the street and the room was opposite the elevator and water cooler but given the positives, I give Microtel Baguio full marks.

Staying here is worth it. A bit pricey though ($80/night),but the staff were very accommodating. I got a room with beautiful view from the outside. There were water dispensers on every floor and an ice maker near the reception at the ground floor.
I brought my.lappy, but everytime we went out I made sure I put it in the safety box which was ok since the staff are all trust worthy
They always greet you. The hotel provided free breakfast, though limited choice of food but it's okay.
The hotel location is near a bus station (Victory liner terminal), gas station, a convenient store and a fast food restaurant. There is also a nearby laundry shop just ask the locals where it is located.
The reception, hallways are always spotless.
Though I sometimes heard noise, but my sleep during my stay was unintereupted.
I would definitely go back to this hotel if I plan to go back to Baguio again. 😃

We visited Baguio just as our sort of travel since the pandemic hits and we checked in at our first choice of hotel which is always Microtel. A lot has changed, no free flowing coffee at the lobby, buffet breakfast is not available, just plated. Rooms were a bit dirty and you have to call for amenities. There's not much people who checked in as I have observed. Our windows and toilet were dirty (see pictures). There is still even a heart shaped mark on it. LOL! I also noticed that they changed the paint into color green and it says Wyndham Green on the laundry bag so I think they are now on the "eco" side but I just hope they do thorough cleaning on each room. Breakfast good have been improved too, very few choices and some of the "few choices" are not available during our stay.
Security guards and staff are nice, always smiling.

Not the newest hotel we've ever stayed in, but this place still represented good value for money.
The room was clean and well presented. Checking in was a breeze and the fact that there was a pizza place attached to the hotel (with good pizzas) was also an added bonus. Location was pleasing with the SM Mall just a short walk away. A small shop was also next door- cold beer could be had for 51 PHP a can. We were also able to walk to the Joybus Depot from the hotel. My wife got sick whilst we were at the hotel (not their fault in any way) and the staff were attentive and responded quickly to her needs.
Thank you Wyndham Baguio for looking after us.

Baguio is one of my happy places, which means I've been to the City of Pines a lot of times already... for many good reasons. Lots of great memories with family and friends.
We stayed at Microtel by Wyndham Baguio overnight, and yet we were able to do so many things during our trip because its location is just perfect. The main attractions and parks are only a few minutes away by taxi, and that's even with traffic! On top of that, the Victory Liner station is next door so if you're just taking the bus, you won't have any problem catching a ride home. If you have a vehicle though, they have ample parking space to accommodate you.
The hotel is clean, smells fantastic, free coffee is available, and an Ice machine for when you're not feeling cold enough :D. The rooms may need a little bit of décor update but not old. Very spacious, can easily fit 4 people. It's clean, has a big shower, and the sheets and pillows smell nice too! Plus, the breakfast was nice - perfect start to a day of exploration.
The team members were very kind, helpful and pleasant to deal with. They made our stay even more memorable. Kudos to everyone!

Thumbs up:
1. Location. Walking distance to Skyranch amusement park (closes by 9pm), SM Asia Mall. It’s next to the Victory Liner bus terminal but it is not noisy at night. What keeps you up and annoyed is the poor wifi (read on). Jollibee and Dunkin Donut is next door for easy supper.
2. Free water and ice. Godsend as we mix drinks and you can save the trouble of buying them if you are driving from other towns to Baguio. The weather is also cool and dry so this makes hydration easier. The ice machine is beside lobby lift. The water dispenser is found on every floor with hot, cold and lukewarm options.
3. Lobby and Concierge. Clean and ample sofas, which is comfortable and quiet. The staff is also friendly and prompt to attend to queries and we feel they are sincere even if they can’t provide an immediate solution.
Thumbs down:
1. Wifi. Very slow and non-existent when traffic is high. We tested and it seems the toilet provides much better coverage compared to the bed which might be due to the walls. Head down to lobby for stronger connection which is probably why there are folks chilling at lobby at night.
2. Breakfast. Rather limited to local fares which is too salty and sweet. Daily salad and fruits are good. Dining area is actually an Italian restaurant. If you like to people-watch, sit outdoors as you can observe the buses and people under the cool sunlight and pine trees.
