This was one of only two hostels I stayed in while visiting Peru. While the accomodations are average, the staff ( and I believe owner) are fantastic, supportive and kind. They helped me plan a trip by public transport and although communication could have more easily occured in English, they let me practice my Spanish and facilitated my speaking as...

I can only agree with the most recent reviews. This place is absolutely overrated! Many rooms have no window or only towards an open staircase which gets some daylight from the roof. Most annoying was that they have a serious „key issue“ meaning that they never really seem to know which key goes with which room. As there are some...

Super clean hostel with great kitchen facilities. Private double ensuite room was very comfortable and clean. Wifi was very slow in the room. Definitely would recommend this hostel. One suggestion though, blinds should be darker as the room was too bright in the mornings.

We only stayed the one night from a recommendation from a friend. We were very impressed, nice rooms for the price and excellent social areas. Plus the staff are very helpfull. We booked a day trip to Lake Titicaca through them and it was a great experience too. I would defiantly recommend this to others!

I am unsure as to why this hostel has such positive reviews. It wasn't an uncomfortable stay, but in my two nights there there was no hot water, the toilets on the third floor didn't flush, wifi wasn't working for a night, and they were over booked so a friend of mine had to sleep on piece of foam (not...

We decided to go to Puno for the weekend of the Candelaria in February 2014. Due to the good recommendations on Tripadvisor and Hostelbookers we stayed in Inkas Rest for 2 nights. The adventure began just before going into our 6-person dormitory when we saw two people from the staff walking out of the room, giggling and with the underwear...

This was the 3rd time id stayed here as i live in Peru and travel to Puno often. I will never stay here again on principal. The first two stays were fine. Its a nice place with free breakfast and lots of living areas to stretch out and relax. The 3rd stay was terrible! They were doing construction (which i...

We booked two nights and Inkas rest but checked out after one. Out room was very dirty. Hair all over the place and snot on the wall. There was construction going on under our room until 11pm and started again before 8am. The light fitting above the bed was not wired in the wires just went behind the bed and...

Inka's Rest was a truly delightful little hostel in Puno that seems to continually strive to improve itself. During our short stay walls were being repaired and rooms renovated yet our stay wasn't disrupted in the least. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and patient. The prices reasonable and the location, a short walk from the tourist district one way...

This hostel's rooms are more like apartments with 2 bedrooms and a separate during area with TV, DVD, table and chairs, couches, bathroom, all in the rom. We arrived at 5 am from an over night bus and were not charged to check in that early. There is a great communal kitchen area, plus breakfast is included, although simple with...
